Easy draw for united in next FA cup round

Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by afrodoc2: 1:38pm On Jan 10, 2017
Why are you people arguing with someone that thinks Moyes was the right person for United? The same Moyes who has NEVER won anything of note in his managing career and has subsequently flirted with relegation everywhere he has gone.

Why waste your time with such a person?

So it is Mata a united player that has lost his place in the first XI that is saving Mourinho now??

Fraud of a manager, one would have expected that it is Sterling or Hazard that should be saving the Manchester United manager

Even if we go with the silly notion of yours that they weren't his signings, he spent close to 200 million.

Your poor diction aside, how was Di Maria's fee recovered when we bought for 60 and sold him for 44.5?

That person was using a ludicrous "sample space" argument to justify mourinho being a failure.

I'm sure the Sunderland/Cattermole/Moyes fan who visits here every now and then is watching as well.

Van gaal won the FA cup in his final season and was in the top 4 in the previous season.

Mourinho would have to archive similar feat or better before any compliment would be given.

He's done well so far though.

You would want to argue that jose spent lots of money this season and is in 6th.
But you don't want to hear how one grumpy old fart spent a quarter of a million players mostly on duds over two seasons and ended up with modest achievements.

So choose which side of your double-standard you want to stand on.

Scrap metal managers like Harry Redknapp and Roberto Martinez have actually won the FA Cup, while Wenger is saving himself from being an utter failure by clutching to two FA Cup wins. When you think that Tony Pulis, Alan Pardew, David Moyes, Kenny Dalglish have reached the final of the same FA Cup you are singing to the heavens about, I don't know whether to bracket it along any list of serious achievements a club manager will be putting on a CV to manage a top club like United.

Quick question for you, who signed Luke Shaw and Herrera?
Louis Van Gaal right? Wrong! Van Gaal had said that it would be his final job when managing the Dutch national team. He certainly wasn’t spending his time scouting players at
Southampton, just in case a club job came up. The United
job fell into his lap and due to commitments at the World
Cup it meant that Louis wouldn’t be able to concentrate
solely on United till very late in the summer. United had already scouted and prepared the deals for Luke Shaw and
Ander Herrera. Van Gaal was told that the club lacked midfielders and had no left back but that those two
deals were ready to rectify that. He agreed. It’s fair to say
that when he worked with both players he was completely
underwhelmed. The first few months of his reign were taken up with criticism of Luke Shaw in particular. He did not fit
the model of what Van Gaal expected from his full backs at
all. To Shaw’s credit he worked hard on his fitness and all
round game and its a minor tragedy that when he did begin
to finally win over the manager he suffered such a terrible
injury.
Herrera, as we already explained, was not to the managers
liking at all. Time and again he was rebuked for chasing the
ball and ending up ahead of the play. Behind the scenes
Herrera likes a moan too. The Spanish contingent at United
are a very tight bunch. Upset one and you upset them all.

This already showed Both Herrera and Shaw weren't Van gaal signings!
I really find it funny when people claims a coach who was still at the worldcup with his Holland team at the time both players were signed, was signing players for United.

Abegi!

BTW, Bastain wasn't signed for 14mil like Mirror stated, he was signed for 7.??mil, half of that fees. Once you've calculated everything Van gaal spent minus the 45mil recouped from Di maria sales, it wasn't even up to 150mil in 2 seasons! Mourinho spent 150mil in a season!

The Moyes who said United was apiring to be like City.
The Moyes who lost by 3-nil at Old Trafford to Liverpool and City in the same season.
The Moyes who kept us oscillating between 7th and 10th on the table.

Let's be listening to his "sample space".

As for the purple font imbeci/e, I'm glad no one responds to that one.
See ehn! I dont even know what the fuss is about.

I ve never liked Mourinho. And i still dont. But there's no disputing the fact that the team is playing better. I criticised him a lot for our defensive set up early on in the season. But now that he has changed, i don kip kwayet.

If it is a must for u to hate Mourinho, at least be objective with ur criticism and acknowledge the team and the work the players are putting through to get back up the table.

Harry Redknap and Martinez didn't win the Fa cup in their first 2 yrs in the EPl!

Van gaal was a coach who had to deal with number of injuries and rely on kids. At one time, we even had Fellaini playing in the striker role after Rooney got injured and the likes of CBJ and Varela as fullbacks. Van Gaal had no excuse to go trophyless with the amount he spent.

Both Martinez and Redknapp won the FA Cup with teams that were relegated eventually. On budgets that were not up to 1/3 of Uniteds.
Let that sink in your cranium.

Then tell us how van Gaal who won the Champions League while I was in secondary school is now sinking to the level of grasping at straws with the same FA Cup.
Tell us now whether his "feat" of winning the FA Cup with an expensively assembles squad is anything to gloat about, if you can find any perspective to place that win.

And who signed the "world class striker Ibra" that was missing under LvG's tenure, despite splashing cash massively? My father?

All I see are excuses in bold.
It is his duty to fortify the side with adequate personnel.
This hue and cry of no striker is his business. Especially when he spent 60 million a feeble Di Maria.

OR are you punching above your weight?

Kagawa10:

Why is it now a bad thing if similar feat is expected from Mourinho?

Oga, Mourinho is not shirking from his expectations. He boldly made his stance before the season began.

So far he is pointing the side in the right direction. Whether you like it or not, whether you accept it or not.

He has made his mistakes and will learn from them and the team will be better, unlike neophyte Moyes and arrogant van Gaal who played Ashley Young as striker and Martial wide left in the 3-nil loss to Spurs.

All you can do is peddle up half-truths, dig up worn out excuses and generally say anything to rubbish Jose and praise a failed van Gaal.

It is on record that van Gaal signed serious duds for very exorbitant fees. and can boast of the same equivalent of Moyes (top four finish) and Martinez (FA Cup win)

Moyes had the same time Mourinho has had to buy players. But instead of showing some seriousness, he went from flirting with Fabregas, to wooing Alcantara, to toasting Muller only to end up buying that over sized Belgian fig tree for an extra 5 million or so.

We can not rest bcoz United lost to City at OT but we should worship Moyes that spoilt almost all the records United had. Abi was it not under the same Moyes that United lost to the likes of West Brom and Everton at OT for the first time in 20-something years. The same Moyes that said United aspired to be like City after losing to dem at OT. The same City dat United beat by 11 points the previous season o. But somehow, in Pa nyabinghi's twisted little mind, this same Moyes is better than Mourinho.

That Moyes tenure was the worst at United in the last 28 yrs.
No person in the history of man, dead or alive, hater or fan, sane or insane will come out to say United had it better under Moyes than under LVG or Mourinho
Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by tess1(m): 7:03pm On Jan 10, 2017
Again on Herrera signing

LVG:
In his first United presss conference on Thursday afternoon, Van Gaal said: 'Shaw and Herrera were already on the list. I gave my approval because I like them.

Meaning that if he didn't like them he wouldn't have signed them.
The job of a scout is to discover football talents which a coach will either approve or dissaprove.

Herrera:
I’m grateful to him because he signed me and so gave me the opportunity to play more than 70 games, in two years, at arguably the world’s largest club.

Those two quotes are in agreement and are from the main persons.

The question is who do I believe? LVG and Herrera or www.theunitedpages.com?

I choose to believe both LVG and Herrera.

Why will i believe a site like www.theunitedpages.com which is ran by an individual who wants to attract traffic to his site? Bringing a useless site to prove that LVG didn't sign Shaw and Herrera isn't going to fly. You can believe whatever you read but posting it on a public forum will always be met with scrutiny.
A site that even posted this conjecture:

Jose Mourinho’s phoney war with United’s under-performing and over-grumbling stars is over. Battle lines have been well and truly drawn.

Some of United’s biggest names have been told they can go and for a variety of reasons. The clearout is set to begin in January, depending on whether the players can find other clubs.

Wayne Rooney

The papers this morning are full of stories that Rooney has been told he can go and that United’s players are supposedly unhappy with training. It is no coincidence that every other time Rooney has faced questioning of some kind a story has then appeared in the papers where United stars are critical of their manager. We have been informed, on numerous occasions, about Rooney and his representative leaking stories to the press. In fact, he even sought to become more friendly with sections of the press during the summer. Foresight as to how events might pan out maybe? You may question his ability on the field but you can’t question his knowledge of how to work the system. It is worth noting that under Louis Van Gaal, a manager that bent over backwards to accommodate Rooney and his demands, it was the captain and his constant anonymous sniping that did for him.

We do know that it wasn’t originally for footballing reasons that Rooney was eventually dropped. Though we have been unable to confirm just how true the rumours are of him threatening and manhandling Marcus Rashford are.

Michael Carrick

Carrick is United’s vice captain, yet when Rooney was dropped it was Chris Smalling that took over the armband. This is no accident. As is the lack of playing time he has had this season despite his good performances when he has featured. Carrick also seems to suffer from the sort of loose lips that afflict the captain. Originally only kept on in the summer to help the new manager and the younger players he is now seen as a problem behind the scenes. When the class of 92 talk about United they all seem to wax lyrical about the qualities of Carrick. This is no accident.

Henrik Mkhitaryan

We first started to hear rumours of the Armenian’s unhappiness at United after the derby. The talk then was that he had burst into tears and asked to leave the club after his substitution. The staff at the club have been staggered at how mentally weak Mkhitaryan is and Mourinho has already decided he just doesn’t trust him. The current situation with his supposed injury is an interesting one. Notice just how much Mourinho bristles when he is asked about Mkhitaryan and the unconvincing way he talks about needing match sharpness. Already United are exploring ways to recoup the £26 million paid for him only a few months ago.

Matteo Darmian

At least this one is purely a football decision. Mourinho doesn’t believe Darmian is solid enough defensively for the role he wishes his full backs to perform at United. The plan is to offload Darmian back to Italy in the January window when United will go all out to sign Fabinho from Monaco. The Brazilian stands at 6ft 2 and is quick enough to be a threat down the flank too.

Jose Mourinho feels that many at United have let him down and although they might survive the original cull, once it begins, be assured that their card has been marked too. Losing weakly against his old foe Guardiola was bad enough for Mourinho but the way the team accepted a hammering at Chelsea caused serious alarm. He feels now that some are openly trying to sabotage his time at Old Trafford.

Standby for more fireworks as events play out in the coming months,

We now know that these are all cooked-up stories which has no iota of truth. On the hindsight, Mourinho has been saying it loud and clear to everyone that he's not willing to sell anyone in January transfer window unless a player that wants to leave.

I even saw this on the site:

Founder and owner of theunitedpages.com. I mainly deal with the administration of the site but have provided some articles as well as the photoshop manipulations.

Maybe someone can explain what that means to me.
