I'd advice you goto MIUI download site and download the MM recovery rom and update your device with or use the Fastboot rom.

from what I have read so far, SOT on WiFi is 9-10hrs, on mobile data 7-8hrs. this usually translates to about a full day of use or more for most people.

gaming brings down the SOT to 5-6hrs.

so pm not sure changing Rom will make ant significant difference

I'm telling you from personal experience. Or go to rn3 page in miui forum. Several people have said the same. The range you quoted is based on miui 8. The miui 7 experience is something I want to re-live
