jelmusboy: I did that couple of years ago, had to get a letter from Nigerian embassy, book an appointment with a local police station for finger print with the letter from Nigerian embassy then i paid £20 for the fingerprint. After that i sent the fingerprint to Nigeria to my elder brother who visited CID office for criminal record report. I think if you have been in the UK for 3yrs you don't need to go through all these process, you just get everything done here in the UK. The only issue was dealing with Nigerian embassy as they delayed the whole process. 1 Like |

segzy0: Honestly you are not helping your case, rather than reducing cost you are adding more, you can not impress the ECO by budgeting higher than you earn in 2months. Shopping is not part of visa requirements. You can definitely get a ticket below that figure if you seriously want to search for one |

justwise: Thanks @Justwise, i'm not being stubborn here, the reason I stated that is because I have other source of income which often generates me money. Can I reduce the total budget to my 2 and half months salary? That's 450,000? |

If you include your marriage certificate, is it compulsory to include pictures......if it's only for visit visa . And if someone paid in just 42k into my account do I have to explain the reason |
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 3 by segzy0: 12:39am On Jan 12, 2017 |
oloolo: It's not compulsory to include marriage pictures but just to convince the Visa officer that it's real. Yes, you have to explain the 42k in an additional information or on a cover letter. |

Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 3 by justwise(m): 8:41am On Jan 12, 2017 |
oloolo: Not adding pictures has been used as one of the reasons for visa refusal here. Explain every deposit in your account that is not your salary |

nomad26: Wow. I have 3 old passports. Making photocopies of each page of each passport would cost me some money. |
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 3 by nomad26: 9:29am On Jan 12, 2017 |
blank: Yes o, the guys around the tls place are making money from the photocopies. They were charging 50 naira per copy but I eventually paid 30 naira, which is still expensive so it is definitely cheaper to make your photocopies before you go there. |

nomad26: The Nigerian Passport is at least 32pages. Since it's rather small to take a photocopy of a single page, does this mean that, it was two leaflets on a photocopied page? That is, did you have 16 Photocopied papers after making the photocopy? I just want to have a clearer picture cos you said photocopy each page...Thank you. |
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 3 by nomad26: 10:10am On Jan 12, 2017 |
Eastner: Yes, it was two leaflets on a page. |
