BOKOHARAM IS RIGHT........ Sounding weird right?....That is the reality to a certain extent. Bokoharam is an islamic extremist group out solely for a full fledged violent prosecution of Jihad. Now Jihad simply means evangelism. When the Jehova witness group storm your house, they are on a christian jihad. What prompts evangelism is when you are in the midst of people you term unbelievers. Now the clean breast of the matter is that Christians also have their own form of violent evangelism(Jihad). The moment the pastor or any other Christian group storm the village shrine in a commando-style to set it ablaze, that is a Jihad against the owner(s) of the shrine. Why do we cry foul when Bokoharam set churches ablaze and kill worshipers in the North when we down here are persecuting traditional believers terming them pagans? If you don't want me to come for your dog then don't kill my cat. If you quote from your bible on the reason you set shrines ablaze, bokoharam will also quote from their Koran why they must behead Christians and destroy their churches. Judaism adherents will also quote from their Torah on why they should kill both Muslims and Christians. Hindus will also refer to their holy book and be wrecking havoc. Buddhist will also not be left out. If all these should take place then we will be having a hell here on earth courtesy of our collective misdeeds. Religion should not be a segregational tool but a tool for harmonization. Lets apply restraint and endeavor not to impose the violent aspect(s) of our doctrine on others. The world is not all about your religious beliefs hence the need to acknowledge the existence of other beliefs. |

Christians do not destroy shrines without the owner giving their consent. No pastor will storm an unknown village and destroy their shrines even if the shrine is in his father's compound, he must get the permission of other family members before it can be destroyed. Most of the shrines destroyed are no longer being worshipped bcz the owner have all turned to Christianity as the case may be. So on this basis, I strongly disagree. His arguement to exonerate the devilish acts of boko haram is flawed. |
