To God be all the glory, we had my baby on the 23rd of December at Oakbend medical center with Dr E. The service was exceptional and nurses were very friendly. We got all her documents ( birth certificate, blue passport, social securiy no and emergency travel certifcate) all in one week this January. My host was very nice and sweet and was very helpful. My profound gratitude goes to every kind contributor on this platform, the words of advice were invaluable. May God bless us all. 14 Likes |

finegirlna: You're very smart to have bought your June ticket ahead now, because June & July are the highest seasons which is summer. Me sef I always do permutations and adjust to fit into my budget, like now houston is 383k, NY is 335k via emirates, anyone travelling later it's best to buy now before the prices become unbearable, how I get alerts on cheap fare is that I sign up with the airline itself for offers, once the offer begins I get the email and I call them to book it or call travel agent. It's just so painful because airfares weren't this crazy before, if you're 550k for airfare before na business class be that but the tables have turned now, 550k is not for economy due to the recession |

Answer 1) Apply for B1/B2 ( I don't know if it's only me oh but I noticed in all my visas since 2010 it is always B1/B2 I get.) 2) Apply now or if you want to do it later just see the rules here http://www.ustraveldocs.com/ng/ng-niv-visarenew.asp 3) Don't omit to say you went to put to birth in your last visit on your form. [quote author=tolopez post=52579790]Hello House, Its been lovely following all the posts on this thread from Part 1 to 5. I especially found posts by @MiddyO and @NikkyK on OB Packages available at JPS Hospital very useful. Hello sorry about the delay in responding not sure I got a notification from Naira land about your mail. The thing with JPS is that it's a County Hospital therefore its difficult to get correspondence from a particular Doctor. Different Doctors see you at every appointment unless you are high risk. Even at that you never know who you are seeing next. Please let me know if you have any other questions. I am a May mom and will be going back to Dallas in March. If you have any other questions please let me know. 4 Likes |

chloe7: It's very weird, One adult and one child is 691k. One adult alone is N367k. That works out to wayyy more than 60%, 70% of adult fare. And one can't check for child alone. Still looking sha. |

Dear Nairaland Mom, Missionary journey has been fully activated. I left Nigeria on the 11/01/17 at 33 weeks/4days with Qatar and arrived Dallas on the 12/01/17 Thanks to all the mama's in the house who has shared their experiences one way or the other it has helped alot. Although, i was almost giving up on not including childbirth as my purpose in the US, especially as anyone you tell you are going to give birth in the US would tell you not to declare you are pregnant (IGNORANCE!!!), but i kept believing on this forum, discussed with DH and we both agreed the only way out was the TRUTH. In the spirit of giving back to the community.... PART 1- MY DOLLAR WAKA I was lucky to $2500 out of $3000 from my daddy's Ecobank dom account which he gave me at a very good rate even though he would be travelling soon and needed it as well. Since there was no other way to get any more dollar apart from Black market, i went for it with 'RED EYE'. I was also hoping to get more when i get to Lagos from Burea de change at the rate of N400/$1 but my heart from broken when they said they dint have dollar and i had to buy from Black market at the airport which was N2.00 more expensive than in Warri. PART 2- QATAR EXPERIENCE I had already sent my Medical Certificate and MEDIF filled and signed by my doctor few days before departure via Qatar local Email. I called some days after sending it to confirm the status and was told it has been approved, I was not asked for it while checking in. The attendant sent me for Fit to fly at the airport, I paid N1500 and got the cert. We left Lagos around 3pm and arrived Doha 7 hours later. I was qualified for an accommodation because i had an 8hrs layover, got to the hotel, rested till morning and was off for the airport at 6am. I was questioned by Qatar officials, if i was expecting?how much would it cost me?if i have a doctor and evidence?...and that was it. PART 3- DALLAS POE We touched down Dallas around 3:25pm. Went straight to the B1/B2 section of the Electronic Receipt kiosk, scanned my visa, answered the questions, got my print out and headed for my luggage. Picked up luggage and then CBP officer, i was already CABASHING before it got to my turn. ME: Goodafternoon sir CBP: What is your purpose in the US? ME: For Holiday and Maternity Leave CBP: Do you intend having your baby in the US? ME: Yes sir. CBP: I can see you declared food, i will have to send you to Agriculture. At agriculture i was asked was what kind of food i was carrying, scanned my bags and i was Off!!! Without any document checked even though i was prepared with all my documents. God was too faithful, Dallas POE is bae abeg!!! My host picked me up, got home and rested. I noticed my passport was not stamped, i was a bit scared but my host told me to check i-94 website, which i did and discovered i was admitted till November 2017 which is even more than 6 months...Glorrrrrrryyyy!!!! Sorry for my long post but i just had to give back. 13 Likes |
