Maxicon: Just have your new letter of admission ready, if the embassy does request for it, then provide it. If not keep it till you get to Canada. No need to worry too much about the visa count. You only need your visa to come to Canada, when you get here, you'd get a study permit for the duration of your program/expiry date of your passport (whichever comes first). As long as your study permit is valid, your visa can expire and no one cares about that. Your study permit is what makes you legal in Canada. And if you ever have to renew your visa/study permit within Canada, it is a different ball game entirely and a piece of cake to do so. 5 Likes |

The only reason is what I've stated earlier in my post. V.Os do go through submitted docs before sending medical mail. As you've not been mailed to go for medical and your passport dispatched, i can only mean that your application has been refused. Hence the V.O sees no reason for you doing medical. Just git get your package and let's dissect it together. You might be 'A man after GOD'S heart' and your TRV might be granted. But I've never seen anyone granted without medical call. chigrad: When you get to the hospital and it's your turn, your vitals will be taken and you'll be asked to provide urine and blood samples. The Doctor will carry out a full physical examination(you'll be asked to strip) and ask you a few questions. And then the chest xray will be done. Might not be exactly in that order, although that's how mine went. Nothing really out of the ordinary, just relax... 3 Likes |

iseise:Your application has passed the stipulated processing time. You should send a case enquiry to CIC through the web form to find out the status of your application. http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/contacts/web-form.asp you should also still send another e-mail to accra office. 1 Like |

Kemsure30: You have a nice profile that reveal finance won't be an issue. A little concern about that program that we can't do anything about since you have submitted. Wish you the best outcome. Be optimistic! 1 Like |

elimsme:There must be something wrong in the program or their application. It is either poor SOP and recommendation or some discrimination. I think the major problem is related to SOP, faculty and probably recommendation. Not all program have faculty interested in all fields of the program(s). Sometimes, we should review all program faculty interest and previous student researches before we draft SOP and perhaps submit. |

Re: Travelling To Canada Part 11 by penitential(m): 5:24am On Jan 15, 2017 |
Hello, even as less competitive as carleton may be, I will still like to tell you that admission into both graduate and undergraduate schools in both Canada and United State of America is not by having a high C.G.P.A alone. They arealso interested in other factors like 1. Extra-mural activities. 2. Previous projects you've handled as relating to your proposed program 3. Awards of excellence (If any) 4. Challenges you've encountered on previous projects and how you overcame them.... And many more. Remember that you're not the only applicant applying to that school, applications from prospective students from all-over the world are been treated for admission consideration. So after all the academic requirements are met, the above listed factors go a long way as well in giving admission. Uwaterloo is a school that's very good at that. ibbravura: 2 Likes |

Kemsure30:some have commented but i could see they didn't read in between lines well enough to interpret meanings stated in different angles of your articulated statements. you have a very sound profile but as you have submitted you may hope for the best as others have said. the only glaring thing i have seen about your application which a VO may question is ''purpose of visit''. this is not because you are going for Diploma program in nursing/health care but as you mentioned you have/manage a business with your mother all this while, do you have any, even at least one (1) year experience or less than 6 months in nursing/in a hospital? if yes, your intention may not be doubted by a VO but if NO,as for me, i have not seen a career progression/relationship starting from your UG / work experience to the intended program in canada. *TRV Doctor* |

It's not a nursing course I don't work with my mum Yes I indicated am staying with my mum It is a personal support worker program It's like taking care of people at the old peoples home Am not going into nursing ,it has nothing to do with Nursing Personal support workers take care of old people that Can't walk eat or bath on their own Nurses work alongside with them It states so far u are matured ,Ontario grade 12 or U hv a post secondary My cousin sent all infos |
Re: Travelling To Canada Part 11 by Kemsure30: 7:21am On Jan 15, 2017 |
Sorry indicated am staying with my cousin* Personal support workers are not nurses What they do is take care of aged people or incapacitated ones For example if my grandfather is sick We would get him someone who will be helping Bathing feeding him n all Wen he needs medical attention Then I book for him to go to the clinic and all That's what they call CAREGIVER too But it's tagged as personal support worker I wanted to go for a Degree in nursing Not that am going for nursing |
Re: Travelling To Canada Part 11 by Kemsure30: 7:37am On Jan 15, 2017 |
A personal support worker is someone that helps people Wen it comes to aging Like a rich man that has stroke and can't walk again Just like kids in Modupe cOle and our old adults in the old peoples home at yaba It's a course to learn on how to be a caregiver In terms of taking care of people who can't help themselves again Nurses are not caregivers but they work together lets say wen they need medical attention So pls help me all to view it |
