Kagawa10:

I'm not even saying Lucas is the best option out there but whenever Henderson is out, Lucas should be the one to deputise for him, not Can! if you had watched their match against the Saints, you would understand my point of view. It was like they were playing with 10 men with Can in midfield, he was just terrible! Lucas was still serviceable and was better.

Klopp has taken the view that Lucas is less dependable to carry out the constant pressing and harassment needed from his midfielders. He can't cover as much ground as the rest or run as long as the rest. In klopps team and his view of football constant pressing, harrying and movement is more important than quarterbacking like Carrick or shielding like Makelele

And you think Can makes constant pressing? The guy is far worse both off the ball and on it!

Well, like I stated earlier, he's going to be the death of Klopp if he doesn't wise up.

This chelshit sef? We have to beat them, liverpool, assnal and city to really secure at least 3rd or 2nd....even though the league is not completely out of reach!

Look at how West Ham decimated Crystal, Payets stupidity was all the motivation they needed.

This could be where their season changes for the better.

The four race aint between the giants surely each will beat the other but the points they can get from the "smaller" teams matter alot.

Chelsea have more points now than entire 2015-16 season

14 January 2017

Chelsea's improvement under Antonio Conte was evident once again at Leicester City on Saturday – but was also demonstrated by a remarkable statistic following their 3-0 triumph at the King Power Stadium.

Marcos Alonso scored twice to add to a Pedro header as Conte's men cruised to another impressive victory and move seven points clear at the Premier League summit.

Their tally of 52 points from 21 games is more than they managed in the entire 2015-16 season - a campaign that started woefully under Jose Mourinho before he was sacked with Guus Hiddink returning as interim boss.

Chelsea ended the season in 10th place with 50 points from 38 games.

It has been a different story this term and, although their 13-game winning run was ended at Tottenham in their previous league outing, they were swift to return to winning ways against last season's champions.

52 - Chelsea have already picked up more points in the PL this season (52) than they managed in the whole of 2015/16 (50). Rejuvenation.

rashford looks more dangerous when he is brought in as a sub. His pace kill off an already tired defender.
I would prefer martial and mkhi starting

I totally agree with you...How about the defense, who get's your vote for LB and should Rojo be reintroduced in to the starting lineup?

I think Jose should play Martial, Mata and Mkhtaryan behind Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

Though Carrick has been doing fine so far, but I would go with Herrera - Pogba Pairing.

Valencia, Jones, Rojo (if fits) and Shaw (I think he's back and fully fit).

DeGea!

a pogba/Herrera pairing would expose our defence line. Pogba will not want to be too concerned with defending
My preferred line up

............................ DDG
Val...... Jones...... Rojo....... Blind
......... Carrick Herrera.........
Mkhi.......... Pogba......... Martial

I suspect Jose using 433 n playing Rojo LB. L'pool start most of their attack from back via Milner. Good we've Valencia to curb that.

Clyne's pace is one to watch out for, Martial can curb his forward surges...

Carrick is pivotal if we must exert any form of control today, COUTINHO is back thus we need Carrick mopping up in Midfield.
However, if Henderson isn't fit, I'd go along with your lineup.

He he....costa trying to cut out to China, Sanchez frustrated that everyone has signed new contracts except him?

It seems some cracks are beginning to manifest within our rivals ranks while united just seem to be sailing on calm waters! Opportunities arising!

If we win today, we will be second before the month ends, Man city entertain Tottenham next week, Chelsea plays host to Liverpool this month and I think Arsenal before the month ends, they'll drop points here and there, we just have to be consistent.

There is nothing as worse as Man united being on your tail....we are the masters of applying relentless pressure till teams crack...ask assnal or chelscum....

i agree with the consistency point but I'm also eager to see how all these other _twats deal with the lingering dips in form, injuries and internal wrangling! Especially chelsin...they have been lucky with injuries all season but it seems costa will soon give them the baddest injury of them all.."mental injury"
