Someone used seattle in part2 and flew emirates, I can't remember the moniker but seattle isn't a commonly used place, so you might want to use more of Google to search for Hospitals & doctors

Thanks a lot for your response. Will check part 2 again. I appreciate your timely response! God bless

Hello everyone. In the spirit of giving back. Flew emirates to houston on the 12th. Presented my Dr's fit to fly and emirates fit to fly.....they don't accept port health. My bags weren't searched (wished I carried my palm oil wink )

poe experience

Cbp: good afternoon I see you had a large breakfast
Me: chuckled and said. ....yes a huge one
Cbp: what's d purpose of your visit
Me: child birth ( forgot to include vacation , seeing that I mentioned both during my visa interview)
Cbp: I see that you are with food
Me: yes
Cbp: how much do you have on your
Me: almost $10k (I had declared initially that I had more than 10k) was about to bring it out when he asked me not to bother.
Cbp: welcome . And the stamped me in till july.
He indictated C A on my form and on my way out after picking my luggage I was directed to another Cbp who confirmed I had the amount that I said I had and she told me to have a nice day.

Oh did I mention I wasn't sent to agriculture, so the following made it in.

Stock fish
Dried fish
Indomee
Garri
Pepper soup ingredients
Ogbono
Egusi
Crayfish
Peppers
Golden morn
My shito spice
Ground nuts.

Thanks Nairalanders for ur inputs and support. All the best people.

I went on their website and searched for policy for pregnant passengers. There is one for over 36wks I think its called "medif"and another for 36wks and below.
Printed it and took it to my doctor who filled it signed and stamped it . Also took a fit to fly from the hospital
And had a copy of my comprehensive medical report just in case I needed it.

Pls do we have to do this for Air France too?

I don't know o. All I did was research the airline's policy on pregnant fliers. I was bounced by 9ja airlines cos I was past 32wks. So it's best u view what ur air line states and pls print it out if u can.
Emirates accommodates upto 36wks. 36wks 1 day.....u need to discuss with their customer careviews.

For Air France, travel beyond 36 weeks requires a medical certificate.

Mission accomplished!

Used henrico doctors hosp virginia. DR W.F
..mild pain started early hrs of 5th, by the time I got to d hospital as I was 2hrs away, I was 4cm dilated, baby arrived 11.6.16. (Vaginal birth no epidural - d pain no b here, I wnt try that next time) note that each time I look at my son d pain fades the more..

Was discharged after 2days
Dr 850, hosp 2078, paedtrician 1228, healthy baby 264 . hearing test cancelled

Gt birth certificate after 2weeks
Nig passport 240 expedited at d embassy n got it next day.
US passport 165 expedited n gt it next day at Washington passport agency.

Infant ticket with BA $349. De insisted baby's ticket is 1 way saying that's d remaining part of d trip as baby mst be attached to an adult else I purchase another ticket for myself returning to US. Payed at d airport on departure.

On board bassinet was provided, air hostess were of great help as I was alone from Washington to London. As usual entertainment was great.

Landed Abj 6th aftr the long layover very tired.
Mother and child are doing great thankfully.
Indeed my case has been different. Another testimony- gt a new job as I was away.

God's grace to everyone in d house.
Also met Tolu a fellow NL mama. It's been a pleasure meeting a friend and sister in diaspora.. We had a great time. .

Thanks to everybody for contributing to d success of this trip..AdomMum I really appreciate you.

After she put Hospital name, doctors initials and prices, which more information again, can't you call the Hospital instead and get any more information you need, all you need to do is a Google search of the hospital

Before u rant and conclude about stuff ask questions first. I already tried to Google Dr "wf" and nothing came up. Is it now a crime to ask questions here. If u don't have anything positive to add to my question, keep it moving.

Lol, when the trend here now is dropping email addresses and not researching on anything and waiting to be spoon fed and asking for more informations without even contributing anything, anyway I hope you get a response to your question tongue tongue

TKM Snr & Jnr Update: End of Missionary journey.

Hi everyone. I've looked forward to writing Dis for long but time wont just let me. Truly, everything changes when baby shows. I arrived Abuja on d morning of Jan 12 to the glory of God. I salute baba God for victory. Nobody else to take dis glory! He deserves my praise o!
In dis journey, I was duped of N2m on my birthday in december and also had a near-fatal car crash (car is a write off!) but TKM snr & Jnr are all alive and well. no scratch!
I'll share my trip summary, delivery story and tips for anyone to learn cos I learnt a lot! I'll occasionally modify d post to add anytin I rmbr but PM directly for details if necessary.
DELIVERY
I initially planned using st peters NJ as a relative was to take my delivery (totally waived ObGyn fees for me) but on arrival, I discovered more hidden fees at st peters so I started considering my plan B seriously. Apart from Vag delivery of $8000 and CSS $12,000, oda Fees included extra day for mum $1800 and extra day for baby $1300. I couldn't do dat so I decided to opt out. Eventually did St Mary's (thanks to Funtolash for all d tips & details). Vag delivery $4000 and CS $5000.
My delivery breakdown.
Dr Fares $2000
Pediatrician (Dr Zamani) thru Dr Fares office $750 inclusive of all baby's hosp assessment.
Hosp fee for CS $5000 inclusive of hosp tests.
Anesthesia $1000 (sent to u by post after discharge)
SSN applied for at d hosp along wit Birth Cert.
Birth Cert ready & collected at town hall 4 days after discharge (I applied monday & collected Friday).
SSN arrived 3wks after birth. In between, I commenced applyin for USA passport by post. Paid $160 for expedited (came in post after 9days). Was told expedited was 2-3wks but regular application 6weeks. Since it will enter Xmas period, I did expedited. Adding USPS speed post, passport foto fee of $15, everythin came up to around $220. It was well worth it cos it took d stress of carryin baby to NY off me. Not too mention logistics.
Did visa on arrival (thanks to Desoul). I was supposed to obtain d visa at Abuja airport but nobody asked me and I was too exhausted. To do ajayi for dat one. Na how TKM snr save $200 dat day o (as I already paid $200 for extra lugGage at JFK) so dat was a consolation for me.
Talking abt excess luggage, I was fortunate to meet considerate staff at d airport. I inevitably checked in 9 items. Don't know how dey charged me for only 1. No be God? Plus stroller, car seat and base.

Triple Congrats for you TKM for all you went through, God will give to you back in many folds what you lost in Jesus name, Amen.

Interesting article!

Wetin catch my eyes though na the many flaws in the writing and editing of the article (right from the headline)

One would think that it is only Nigerian "papers" that don't bother to edit properly... The article wasn't properly edited...not the first time daily mail is riddled with so many flaws. Gone are the days when we read papers to improve our vocabulary!

That is by the way sha... hehe

People still dey go born for UK? shocked
