Yes, you can get the police certificate same day. The cost depends on your bargaining power. Ideally, it should be free as a friend told me he got his free. Once you get to Alagbon, you will see a lot of staff that will rush to help you. If you use any of them, they will probably charge you more. My friend said he just walked into the office and did it himself. He did that cos he knows his away around the offices as he had done it before. However, if you plan to use one of those people at the gate, try to bargain between 3k and 6k. It should not be more than that. You don't need to upload the results. You just need a sheet that shows the list of medical tests that were carried out. The results will be sent to IRCC by the panel physician. boldinc: 2 Likes |

Hola. Police certificate can cost anything between 5000-8500 or more depending on your bargaining power. The official price is probably a ridiculous amount but no one knows it. I paid 7500. Yes, you just go to the finger print section of Alagbon and speak to an officer. We waited in the office for maybe 30 mins after our finger prints were taken and the certificate was issued. Max. amount of time you would spend may be an hour or so. Bro, police open on weekends for police report? hmmmm......I doubt that. You only get a proof that you have completed the medicals and you upload this to your profile. Obviously the immigration gets the results directly. I think we got our medicals done on a wednesday and I submitted eAPR on a sunday and got medicals passed on monday. Qlife is the cheapest. I got mine done at the children's and consultant's practice. boldinc: |

I got my documents notarized by a notary public. You can get your documents notarized by any of the persons/bodies listed by MCC as acceptable. There are notary publics at the courts as well as in private practice. If you want to get yours done by a notary public at a court, just ask the court officials if there is a notary public and they would direct you to the right office. debeams: |

I guess not declaring your relatives in Canada won't pose a threat then... dupyshoo: |

If you have a first degree relative - father, mother, brother, sister, child.....then you should declare. If while filling your EE profile you already indicated that you had a relative (does this question come up? i don't remember), then you should do same with your eAPR boldinc: |

Thanks dear... I was actually referring to dupyshoo's post of not declaring. But I would tho, I can get the details needed, so no issues. vcole: |
Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program Connect Here by dupyshoo: 12:29pm On Jan 16, 2017 |
It did not affect me as I have loads of close relatives (Uncles, Aunties and Cousins) in Canada that I did not declare. As I said earlier, I indicated I had relatives before ITA but when I saw the documents required to support the claim, I had to change my answer to "No". Will I now get supporting documents for my over 10 relatives? What if they had even left Canada? Why did I do so? I believe having relatives in Canada is a "positive" since it will add points to your eligibility score. So, indicating that I don't have any relatives in Canada means that I will lose some eligibility points. As, I am losing points and not adding points to my eligibility score, then it should not be a problem. Please note that this is just my opinion. boldinc: |

Hello guys, A friend of my got ITA in last round of invitations. He scored 459 and got ITA. Based on the information, he added ICAN and chose "Two or more certificates, diplomas, or degrees. One must be for a program of three or more years". On WES, ICAN is seen as 2 years of professional study. Is this acceptable to CIC? Can he accept the ITA? Thanks. |
Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program Connect Here by dupyshoo: 1:25pm On Jan 16, 2017 |
I don't think ICAN with BSC is acceptable. His application might be rejected. Let others comment sha. unibadan: |

Hello everyone, A big thank you to all who have been sharing vital information. My question is in respect of the employer's reference letter. who should the letter be addressed to? or is it just 'to whom it may concern' Thank you. |
Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program Connect Here by JESUnifemi4eva: 2:44pm On Jan 16, 2017 |
In addition to the ICAN qualification, does your friend have another degree that has been assessed by WES to be equivalent to a 3yr Canadian course? If yes, then he click on two or more certificates, diplomas, or degrees. unibadan: |

JESUnifemi4eva: Yes...BSc Accounting. Can he go ahead to accept the ITA and send all the necessary documentation. |

JESUnifemi4eva: I think to whom it may concern is adequate. Oyibo people don't care too much. You can also address it to: The Immigration Officer Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada Ottawa Canada Good luck 2 Likes |

ICAN is assessed as a professional study by Wes, hence I don't think it qualifies to be used as a certificate for immigration purposes. Going ahead with the application could lead to rejection. unibadan: |

The seniors have spoken; however since his BSc has been assessed as 3yr equivalent and his ICAN as a 2yr equivalent then he has 2 or more certificates, degrees or diploma's where one program was at least 3yrs. CAVEAT: I am not an authority in this regard; so consider the different views. P.S: he should click whatever option was selected in the initial profile for which he was awarded points. Thank you. unibadan: |

Hey guys... vcole, dupyshoo... Really wondering tho... My wife is the principal applicant, yet they require details of my work history and then go ahead to ask for reference letter for each as well. I never thought I would be asked for such, been preparing for wifey's all this while. That's a really major task for me! Why do they need it tho? It didn't add any score to my crs. Also, I didn't evaluate my degrees, but they asking me to upload for Education... Do they mean just the IELTS result? |
Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program Connect Here by Beem4cupid: 9:42pm On Jan 16, 2017 |
They asked for it because you put your work history in her e.e profile. You can edit your work history on her post ita profile but remember to put your work history under personal history, that way,you wont be required to submit your work reference. Since you didn't get points for that. I read about this on Canadavisa and a lot of applicants testified that it worked for them. But let's wait for the gurus in the house to give their opinion on this. boldinc: 1 Like |
