ManCiCi1: Please for thos of you that used uniplaces , please how did you make your payment ? My bank said that the amount exceeds my card limit. I dont know what to do. |
Re: Spanish Student Visas by objifeanyi: 5:17pm On Oct 19, 2016 |
Skelewudprince: Hiya Skelewudprince, I didn't use uniplaces for my accomodation. However, the issue is that there is a freeze on Naira debit cards on all foreign transactions due to fx crunch . Best is to open a dorm account here in Nigeria, buy Euros, pay into it and use it to make your payments (please note charges apply). In any case you can still use it when you are here in Spain by transferring from your dorm account into your Spanish account when you arrive. You also have the option of opening a dollar account in Nigeria. This affords you the opportunity to having and using a dollar debit card which you can use both for online transactions and ATM withdrawals when you arrive here in Spain. Hope this helps! 1 Like |

objifeanyi: Thanks for your response. The school actually knows I live here. I called them to ask for the requirements for securing admission into the university for a masters degree programme. They told me to get my transcript and my certificate, both legalised at their embassy in my country(I guess to confirm it's not fake). I know I'll need a certified true copy of my certificate because they said they'd only need to sight my original while I leave the photocopy behind for them. They also asked for a letter that guarantees that my degree gives me access to do a masters degree in my country(Maybe to confirm it's actually a university degree because I know that with OND or HND one needs a PG before Masters) |

Damola89: Have you been able to submit your visa application. I will like to know if I need to submit the original hardcopy accommodation contract letter. aluni.net said that they don't really give it to people and he asked me to confirm if I really need it. Or should I just do a colour printing of the one sent to me? I will also like to know if I will need to submit the receipt of the accommodation too. Also since I am going for a PhD program and my admission letter was dated 14 July and it's for academic year 2016/2017 and I plan to resume in February 2017. As you know that PhD has a flexible resumption date. Do I need another admisiion letter to state that I will be resuming in February? |

This place has been quite quiet. I submitted on the 9th of Dec and was called yesterday to come and pick it up, which I have done. Thanks to everyone for the contributions made here. It was a very rigorous exercise but Thanks to God for the success. Skelewudprince: 2 Likes |

please is there a school in Spain that accpets only olevel NECO /wAEC how long does it take for them to grant school admission letter,? how long does it take for them to finish visa processing. what school is the cheapest there for undergraduate studies? |
Re: Spanish Student Visas by objifeanyi: 10:43pm On Jan 03, 2017 |
kwenu:Tough question but I will try As per school you will have to do that search on your own to identify the school fitting for your budget and course. Google knows everything . Length of time from application to admission varies from school to school and also other factors like class configuration, scholarships, etc. Overall school display their admission calendar so best you work with the school's time line. In the case of visa processing it takes between 3 to 4 months. Go through earlier threads because you have enough information regarding the requirements for visa. You will have to apply through the Spanish consulate and not through VFS. For WAEC and NECO, it best you contact the admission officer in your school of choice but I reckon you are better off with WAEC. All the best! |

@Objifeanyi Please I will like to know if one-way ticket is cool for me. Note that my Visa (class D) is for 3 years but only has validity of 90days now, which I will have to renew to get residency in 30 days. Kindly advise and share your experience. Did you go on one-way or return. Wakanow is really disturbing me and they want me to write a mail to them to free them of any blame or responsibility if airline gives me issue flying with One-way. Regards objifeanyi: |

dont mind them. Your one-way ticket is good to go. My course is one year and i got a one way ticket. Nobody will stop you as long as its a student visa. Skelewudprince: 1 Like |
Re: Spanish Student Visas by objifeanyi: 11:16pm On Jan 04, 2017 |
Skelewudprince: Hiya Skelewudprince My approach is different! First check the cost between both options and if there is not much difference, I suggest you go for a return ticket as insurance in case things do not smile your way after your studies. In my case I bought a return ticket for same purpose. Also with our naira weakening daily and tightening immigration laws around Europe, it will be tough for me spending additional days when nothing is in the offin. I hope this helps |

Re: Spanish Student Visas by objifeanyi: 1:40pm On Jan 15, 2017 |
peterpeteru:First, I trust you are a Nigerian else not much I can do. Go to the immigration service closest to where you live. You should be able to do your passport there. I reckon that if your company is sponsoring you, they will provide you with all the back up docs. In any case if it is a short stay of 90 days or less you will have to go through the Spanish authorized agent for short stay (used to be VFS). They will share all the details you need.if your stay is longer then you have to go through the Spanish consulate in Lagos. Previous threads here will help you with most of the info you need. Congrats and all the best in your new role 1 Like |

objifeanyi: Thanks Bro. Very grateful for your prompt response, God bless you more. I'm a Nigerian and I reside in Lagos. My stay is sure less than 90 days, probably a month. Can I find a Spanish authorised agent at the Spanish embassy? |
