First, when you click on quote to reply a post, usually what you do is to start typing your response under the person's post, but to break it down, you need to apply a little trick.

For instance, if you have to reply a post like

'I tire o. I slept well, hope you did too'.

Do this;
Open a square bracket [type quote at the beginning of the sentence you want to quote and close it like this... [/quote]

Here's what I mean using the wrong bracket so the command won't work but use the right one for yours.
(quote) I tire o (/quote)
Reply under here

Then again insert the command for the next part. (quote) I slept well. Hope you did too (/quote)
Your reply right here .

Practice it in your reply to this post let me see if you understand this lesson. Don't forget the shape of the bracket does the magic.

I don't mean to confuse you at all. But don't begin with quote again cos automatically once you click on 'quote', you have it quoted already, you don't need to manually insert another quote. Like I quoted you and saw [quote author bla bla bla... with the bracket close.

What you should know is that the beginning is done for you already. You just have to go to the part you want to bridge, close the quote, reply and open a new quote for the rest of the sentence.
