A few decades ago, travelling overseas or communicating with people who speak a different language was not part of everyday life. Today though, countries and communities around the world are becoming more connected. Travel is more affordable and accessible, and businesses and operating on a global scale, irrespective of how large they are. Technology and new transport options contribute to the accessibility of different locations, and are helping our world become smaller. Another country can only be a few hours away on a plane, or a few time zones away via e-mail or Skype, which means that new opportunities are becoming available to make new friends, start new careers, and visit new places - especially with the help of translation .

THe world is getting smaller with Advancements in technology....communication, entertainment, and education which seemed so had to access before are just sitting right in front of us...

The world we live in is getting smaller and becoming more connected for the everyday person.

With the steady advancement of technology

With the commencement,enhancement, Advancement,commitment,improvement, of Technology.

But people are still getting lost.

We cannot find ourselves dependent on somebody who is untrustworthy.

Information and communication technology has made the world a global village; all thanks to telecommunications and the internet.

It is indeed getting smaller. . . Metaphorically speaking that is. Truth is, the world remains as it is. But as the population grows, and technology improves, it seems like the world is, for lack of a better word, "shrinking".

Gone are the days when it was difficult communicating with people. For instance, communicating with someone in Abuja from Lagos would seem like a big deal before. (when the world seemed so large) But now, thanks to technology, (phones, planes, cars, TV etc) we have been able to shrink the space between each other. I am also able to put across my point to you without even knowing anything about any one on this thread. The "world" as it were, is accessible on my phone. Technological advancement has been able to give humans a sense of closeness even though we are miles apart.


Been able to bridge the gap between each other has made the world smaller.

It's still getting smaller.

the world is getting smaller because we don't recognize the people with whom we are right now. We don't like to live in the moment and all of this sums up how advancement in technology has change a whole lot of things.. Internet also plays a major role because huge number of services have already become closer and can be performed without changing locations

*News only got to some parts of the country after 2 days

*You only knew people from your church,school,village,and immediate environ...

All this was in the past when the world was still very LARGE... But now, Technology has made the world so small i can;



*Reach america in few seconds


*Talk to bae anytime, anyday


*Have as much friends i want without even getting to have met them physically



*Send a letter to space and it'll deliver before you finish reading this



*Get a news of what's happening in Pakistan even before some indigenes



*Shop without getting up from my bed



*Do bank transactions without getting to queue !


So you tell me, how has the world not gotten smaller ?

The world is getting smaller because Knowledge has been released,and because Man is becoming more familiar with his environment,He devises means to live a better life.

The world is getting smaller and that's because of increasing populations, so we have more people per square feet so less space for every individual as population keeps increasing and also because of technology so now you can keep in touch with people in the most remote places and op can even transfer my 12k to me without even getting to see or talk to me.

The things people do for money these day ehn...

The world is getting smaller because, the world(Population/Knowledge) grows.

IT IS FINISHED

We live in a shrinking world
that grows smaller with each day.
Friends that live thousands of miles away
now only seem just a few hours away.

It is not that world is getting smaller
or that we are getting larger.
It is just that technology
is bringing us closer each day.

A trip that used to take months to do
is only a few hours away.
We can now fly half way around the world
and land there on the same day.

Communication makes it easier
to talk to one another
where as before letters
could take weeks to arrive.

News flashes around the world
just moments after it has happened.
We live closer to one another now
and our aspirations grow higher.

Though we grow closer
its always nice to give someone a hug.
It is more reassuring than seeing pictures
from a thousand miles away.
