Jagadike: If you feel your school will respond to a verification request from an evaluation agency based on the statement of result, by all means go ahead and pursue your ECA. 1 Like |

Seriah: Hi, Since I am assuming you obtained your education outside Canada, you have to get it assessed using WES or IQAS in order to determine its equivalency to a Canadian education. So if the outcome says your B.Sc is equivalent to a Canadian B.Sc., and your IGC is equivalent to a Canadian Diploma or Certification then you'd fall under the "Two or more certificate, diploma, or degree. One......". |

You seem to have a good profile for a high score which could guarantee ITA as soon as you enter the pool. Yous should be able to claim 2 degrees or more with your ACCA, Canada which should not need an evaluation. But you will need to evaluate your Nigerian degree. Use this link to check your CRS score: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/crs-tool.asp There are loads of YouTube videos and a few links mentioned here earlier to help study for IELTS. Also, when you register, you will get some links from British Council which was what helped me. So... get going and All the best! AAOL: |

@boldinc @vcole and @dupyshoo @iphie25 and all other guru people on the thread. please i need to make verification on POF. i have a family of 3 and looking at the exchange rate , that is about 6-7 million. now my question is do i keep this money on lock down (in an account forever) bearing in mind that an ITA can come any moment or if and when it comes i can pull all the resources together and have a detailed letter of explanation. please those who have done it how did you save your money and for how long? |

Hello all. Good job you guys are doing here. I'll like know if i can apply for express entry and student visa simultaneously? Considering the refusal rate of student visa I want to use express entry as backup. Thank you cc @dupyshoo |
Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program Connect Here by dupyshoo: 9:52am On Jan 19, 2017 |
It is better you keep the money intact. If you do, you will not need any LOE. Your POF will just be the letter from your bank or bank statements. On the other hand, if you transfer lump sum to your account after ITA and you can explain the source of the funds with LOE and gift deed, it should not be an issue. optionese: |

AAOL: Good day AAOL, You have a pretty good chance to migrate to Canada. Give it a shot! Register and pay on WES Canada website. Contact ACCA to send your transcript to WES (it is free and will be sent before close of business today) If you live in Lagos, I can be your private tutor and help you with the materials you need. Regards |
Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program Connect Here by vcole: 10:50am On Jan 19, 2017 |
No link for that. EE only requires one perosn as the PA. dupyshoo dropped a link a page or two back with info on the documentation needsed post ITA. Several applicants have used joint accounts for POF and have not had issues with it. optionese: |

Was that the only thing written in your eca? usually they comment on the equivalency of your degree. Jagadike: |
Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program Connect Here by vcole: 10:54am On Jan 19, 2017 |
Try to read the first 5-10 pages of this thread and you should have a sense of direction. All steps are clearly outlined there. You should evaluate all your qualifications, bsc, acca and cpa or just your bsc and acca. AAOL: |

Hello everyone, Please, Guru's in the house. I would like to know if adding an Mphil Degree will have any additional positive effect in WES Evaluation and my Express Entry Application. I've a BSC(Biochem), PGDE and MSC(Biochem) already. I have also written the IELTS exams since July last year with good score (overall: 8.0). But I just finished my Mphil(Biochem) Degree and waiting to collect statement of result by February. I am 32yrs and Single. I am self employed with over 3yrs ICT working experience. 1. Should I wait to collect my statement of result (Mphil) before applying for WES so that I can include it or I should just ignore it since I have my MSC certificate. 2. Again can statement of result fly for the WES evaluation, since it is a new acquisition and certificate can't be ready until late this year. 3. Based on my above qualifications which province is best that I could possible apply to for PNP. Thanks for your anticipated response. |
Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program Connect Here by dupyshoo: 11:48am On Jan 19, 2017 |
1. Nope, you will not get extra score for Mpil 2. I think so, not sure though. 3. Why do you need PNP? With your qualification, age, good IELTS score (8.5,8, 7.5 and 7.5 in LRSW), you can have a CRS score of 466 (if you are single). xtosync: |
Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program Connect Here by boldinc(m): 12:16pm On Jan 19, 2017 |
You are welcome. If the other certifications were gotten in Canada, you do not need to evaluate them, but if not, you need to. AAOL: |
Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program Connect Here by xtosync: 12:22pm On Jan 19, 2017 |
dupyshoo: Thanks for your prompt response. actually my IELTS score is 8, 9, 7 and 7.5. I have a CRS score of 549 (just check it now). I am still single. As at when I wrote the IELTS exam I didnt know that my Mphil result will take this long to get ready. I would have done my WES ECA before now. Just complete 32yrs a month ago. Do I still stand a chance since they have already given out ITA? When will be the next ITA? let me know if I can make it. I hope to start processing my WES Evaluation next month (When I am expecting reasonable cash). Again as a self employed person who have never worked for anyone before (Schooling and hustling all this while) how do I make out document for proof of my working Experience. Although my business is registered with CAC (since 2013) but the cash flow is low. I really need help on this now. If I had know since I probably will have taken a better move and been amongst those with ITA now **feeling bad** |

So... I was at Alagbon today and successfully got the Police Certificate for my wife and I. It was pretty much straight forward, thanks to the help of an officer I met there. The whole process took less than or about 30 minutes and wasn't expensive. If you are interested, I can give you the Officer's number for easier processing. All the best guys! 1 Like |
Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program Connect Here by debeams: 12:33pm On Jan 19, 2017 |
AAOL: You'll need to evaluate your ACCA too. It's important you do to claim Two or more Cert points. |
Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program Connect Here by dupyshoo: 1:05pm On Jan 19, 2017 |
How did you arrive at 549? Do you have Canadian education or work experience? If not, you can't have up to that. I will advise you check your CRS score again. Draw happens mostly every fortnight. There will likely be another draw next week Wednesday. So, I will advise you get your ECA done as fast as possible while the cut off is still low. Who knows if the cut off will go up again just like last year. I don't know much about employment reference letter as self employed. I will rather wait for people with more knowledge than I do to answer your question xtosync: |

Hello everyone, Pls who will my reference letter be addressed to? Do I write the IRCC Canada or Ghana address, and the make the topic "To whom it may concern"? Or I don't need to put the IRCC address at all? Kindly help please. Thanks |
Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program Connect Here by boldinc(m): 1:55pm On Jan 19, 2017 |
If you can get your supervisor to write it simply as 'To whom it may concern", that would be perfect. socialmisfit: 1 Like |
