HazzanTazzan: . . . you will receive your money back sometime around 20-21st. You need not any alert message to show nobody before you get your money back but if in doubt as to maturity date, visit any branch of your bank and they will inform you. |

Prince081:What bank is that sir? Apart from investment banks like Standard Chartered which generally deal with high net worth accounts, the minimum is 100k. Do yourself a favour. Shoot an email to the banks customer care address from their website asking about the procedure for buying treasury bills. You'll get the truth there. But if it's any of Diamond bank, first bank, skye bank, stanbic ibtc bank, GTBank and zenith bank, the minimum is 100k. For Diamond bank and skye bank, just draft a letter informing them to buy bills for you and take it to the customer care officer. |

Jesusbabygirl: They tried a bit considering that it was around 17 point before now. But always go for a bank were you could bid higher than the inflation rate, that's when you really make a profit. 1 Like |

Can someone help out with this question please - If the CBN cut-off rate is say 14% and your bank bid at 13.9% but still won, what rate will your bank offer you the Tbills - 13.9 or 14.0? |

Any one here bid with Stanbic Bank this week? Those guys are bordering on buffonery these days. They forced me to go with the bank rate and it looks like what they bid this week is more than what feelamong posted |

Did GTB do 17.95% for 364 days? This is what I see from the interest paid me |
Re: Treasury Bills In Nigeria by chyima(f): 6:59pm On Jan 19, 2017 |
Pls who did with Gtb ,they bidded on my behalf not to sure about the calculation for 182 days and I am arriving at 16.7% which is far below the stop rate. Is it the normal PRT Formula to arrive @ interest? |

@Feelamong and everyone Thank you for your contribution to this thread. Please do you reckon it would be wise to invest from Europe? That is, converting to naira, buying Treasury Bills and then converting back when the funds are returned by the bank? Your thoughts will be highly appreciated. feelamong: 1 Like |
Re: Treasury Bills In Nigeria by chukzyfcbb: 7:12pm On Jan 19, 2017 |
the rates for 91days tbills ought to increase to 14.8% by now atleast to close the gap with 6months. I mean mutual funds from Fbn quest is already waxing strong with thier rates, luring impatient investors who do just 3months on tbills

Re: Treasury Bills In Nigeria by acorntree(m): 7:22pm On Jan 19, 2017 |
Agbaletu:is vat applicable to tbill? mine was successful 17.5 % for 364 tenor. being first timer I'm still OK with it. 2 Likes 1 Share |
