There's no others necessary means than the delegates that ECOWAS sent to convince, and he disrespected them by asking them to go back to their various country.

OK. Why the rush to oust him?
Sanctions and diplomacy would put pressure on the tiny country president to step down.
Allowing Senegal to enter Gambia when you look at the map is like annexation of Gambia by its bigger neighbor.
Just place a blockade or a no fly zone over Banjul and the regime would crumble without a shot being fired. But an all out war might mean a gorilla war fare which would take longer and more tax payers money.
In my part of the world, we have a saying that if u look down on the small pot, it boils and quench the big fire

Do you think those running ECOWAS are stupid? The recognised president of Gambia has given them the go ahead to arrest Jammeh

Senegal is the closest neighbour to The Gambia. Only the River Senegal (Gambia) separates the two countries otherwise it would have been one country. In fact it used to be a confederation known as Senegambia.

It's not an invasion.

I suspect that it will be all over and done within 48hrs the Gambian national army is polarized with the fat indulgent Jammeh loyalists. Who have essentially been his hatchet men for donkey years and filled with his tribal brothers.

The rest of the Gambian army who have been victims of his despotic rule will drop thier arms and join the ECOWAS forces.

Currently Jammeh is an illegal entity claiming to be President. Nearly everyone has resigned from his cabinet he is without support. Like a rat cornered he will run into a rat hole or be killed like one. That rat hole could be his private jet if the airport is not taken over in the next 6hrs. Then he can escape to some friendly Arab country.

Do you think those running ECOWAS are stupid? The recognised president of Gambia has probably given them the go ahead to arrest Jammeh. But I doubt if the forces are in Gambia already. What they will do is to see if the gambia military will be loyal to jammeh or Barrow. If the military is loyal to Jammeh, they will be treated as rebels. I don't think I need to tell you what that means. Ecowas forces are never going to fight a guerrilla. Warfare in Gambia, mark my words

Nigerian jets have been patrolling the airspace since noon, and the Senegalese have been on ground for at least a couple of hours. The Gambian CDS has said he won't order his troops to fight so there won't be much resistance all over the country.

But the National guards are reputedly fiercely loyal and can be expected to potentially put up a fierce fight at the presidential residence.

That's the same way external troops will come I to nigeria to make sure Biafra secedes. I'm shocked how Buhari was one of those to initiate troops taking over another sovereign state. I'm sad now cos same thing is gonna happen here and neither wailers nor zombies won't have any say on that.

Meanwhile I don't like that extreme Islamic president. I just love his guts, I love people with big balls.

It is said that when the gods want to kill a man they first make him mad. if he's truly not insane, common sense would have alerted him to honourably step down. The pressure is mounting with each passing moment;let see how far he goes.
