5 Reasons Why 2017 JAMB And Admission Will Be Tough! And Here Is How To Succeed. by imoleolu2012: 4:48pm On Jan 19, 2017
Thinking 2017 JAMB (UTME) Examination and its entire process will be a stroll-in-the park is a very big mistake! Previous years have seen lots of malpractices, poor organization, below par result handling, inefficient management of candidates complaints and so on. But the 2017 UTME examinations by all indications will be stricter and tougher for cheats and here are 5 reasons why:

1.Late JAMB Form sales and registration
Using 2016 JAMB Registration as an example; the registration and sales of forms started August 2015 and went on for another six months, which ended officially on January 19, 2016. But for the 2017 UTME, it’s January now and the forms are not yet on sale! So, it’s obvious that JAMB will not allow registration to remain open for another 6 months, unlike what was obtainable in previous years.

This implies that the registration period for the 2017/2018 JAMB UTME examination will be very short. Therefore, every serious JAMB Candidate out there must know that registration and preparations for 2017 JAMB exams will not be for long. Get prepared!

2. POST UTME exam has been Cancelled

Yes, this was the biggest (and maybe saddest news) for all JAMBITES in 2016. Post UTME exams which started in 2005, was adopted by Universities and Polytechnics alike, to check the loopholes in the JAMB Admission system. And for years it has helped brilliant and diligent students gain admission into their School of choice on merit without knowing anyone in the high places.

With POST UTME scrapped, admission processes will be tougher than ever before. Students will need a very high JAMB score to gain admission into the top universities and to study the ‘most sought after’ courses.

To score high is a factor of repeated and consistent practice using the right tool and resources. You can start practising on PASS.NG, Nigeria’s foremost e-testing platform. By practicing on pass.ng, you have access to 17 years of JAMB past questions with detailed answers from seasoned tutors . You can practice with ease on your android phone or computer (without internet connection). Download Android App here and desktop cbt here to start preparing immediately.

3. Senate has not implemented 3 years validity for JAMB
News broke on October 13th, 2016 that the senate has approved a 3-year validity of JAMB results. This was good news since it means that candidates who had good scores but were unable to secure admission in a particular year could reapply for admission in subsequent years without having to re-sit for JAMB Examination.

These hopes were however dashed by the JAMB registrar, Prof. Ishaq Oloyede who pleaded with the senate to reverse its decision on JAMB results 3-year validity. He believes the policy is not the best for the country at this time. This means that candidates who failed in previous years or couldn’t secure admission will have to re-take the examination, thus reducing the chances of candidates with low scores. Start preparing now.

4. JAMB is Strictly CBT Now

Not to sound cliché, but re-echoing the realities. Since 2015 UTME, JAMB Examinations has gone 100% Computer-based. However, there have been different controversies trailing the newly adopted examination method. But in all, one thing that cannot be taken away from the new method is its security. We all have to admit it is harder to cheat in a Computer-based examination.

The Registrar also stated recently that there will be CCTV cameras in all CBT Centers. If you are thinking of Cheating in the 2017 JAMB CBT, you should re-think and choose the more honorable way of passing your examination by adequately preparing. Practise and prepare with tools like PASS.NG that makes preparation as easy as piece of cake! Get it on mobile or on desktop.

5. Everyone wants to study top Courses

Because of the level of poverty in Nigeria, and the very high unemployment rate, nobody wants to study a course that will make them jobless after graduation. For your information, millions of other Candidates are eyeing and competing for that same course that you want to study. The key is to get a very high score. Examples of such top courses are:

Mechanical Engineering

Electrical/Electronic Engineering

Computer Engineering

Computer Science

Medicine & Surgery

Nursing

Medical Laboratory Science

Civil Engineering

Pharmacy

Architecture

Digital Arts

Economics

Accounting

With over 180,000 JAMB and admission success stories in just two years, you are well-positioned to be a part of this growing community of successful admission Seekers using PASS.NG. Try it now and thank me later.

It's actually possible... That's where more hands are needed, more employment opportunities for securities who will monitor each cctv installed at various centers as well as a good contract for any Cctv installation company...

I really think, it's possible. It's not like there will be centers every where. CBT centers should really stand out
