His defense minister resigned... and his chief of army staff said he would not order his men to engage ECOMOG Soldiers.... Jammeh cannot carry gun and fight for himself... no matter how tough he may be, the people that would fight for him have abandoned him.

What is sinister there? He has ruled for over 2 decades, elections were conducted, he lost the elections. That's the summary.

If he doesn't contest ! But if he did , he will win. The way INEC, DSS, police and Army are constituted , the 2019 elections will be rigged massively in favor of PmB if he contest .
Don't ever have hope on the current set up to do a free and fair elections in 2019 . It is plain to the dumb and the blind.
Jammeh error was not rigging the elections . Most incumbents in Africa would loose elections if it is free and fair .
