walcolm: Dumping ntel for now. Its still active till 24th but just cant stand the snail speed. Will stick to glo 4g.. will get 60gb for 11k. Cant boast of that anymore with the 10k unlimited ntel. |

their speed (according to a tweet I got from them ) is 10mbps download and 2mbps upload. It was slow 3 to 4 days ago but been back since yesterday morning, try again. alt3r3g0: |

pheesayor: Has it improved or are they throttling only my line? This is my regular speed with them with testmy.net, manual download of 6MB. Compare with that of Glo. its only very early in the morning when speed are a bit okay.

alt3r3g0:have they started throttling? |

purplekayc: I cant say for sure, just wondering why my speed should be slow and others fast. This is test few mins ago

Re: Subscriber Options for UNLIMITED Internet - WORTH IT? by alt3r3g0: 9:59am On Jan 20, 2017 |
purplekayc: I have been using them for close to 6 months. There was a time when i get speeds of over 3MB/s and that was with one bar, quality of service just nose dived and refused to resurface again.

with the speed tests I've seen from glo and mtn I can confirm they are throttling even though they deny it. Why I'm just contented is that even with the low speed it still serves us all here with three of four simultaneous streaming alt3r3g0: |

pheesayor:. Lucky you. cant stream anything above 360p without buffering. Good for browsing but streaming and downloading takes a lot of patience compared to what was available before. 1 Like |

It's quite annoying and disappointing sha. Why did they try to grab customers with huge data appetites when they know they don't have the bandwidth capacity to keep all the data monsters satisfied Speed of less than 1Mbps down and about 1.5Mbps up in VI. I have Used almost 500Gb since Jan 1st |

4llerbuntu: None for me on the Lekki axis. I was enjoying and defending ntel's services up until about two weeks ago. It's been deteriorating ever since — horrible, persistent "No Service" returns by the modem. And during the odd times signals are received, they're limited to one bar/128KBps DL speed max, where there normally would consistently be up to 3 bars/10MBps (not mbps.) Oh, well. over the weekend i was getting very good speed, i am guessing it's a location stuff cos i had 5 bars |
Re: Subscriber Options for UNLIMITED Internet - WORTH IT? by purplekayc(m): 3:24pm On Jan 30, 2017 |
duwdu:judging from the fact that you stay @ lekki you should be getting good signal. |

Erratic and unpredictable It can go without warning. Getting max 2.3 mbps After 4 years of drought, I got a gaming pc. But developers are crazy. 2013 max game size was 12 - 14gb. Today we are seeing 60gb downloads. Even if you buy the game key legit, it makes more sense to go to otigba and buy the iso image , install and activate than spend three to four days downloading and hoping for no broken restarts. |

Re: Subscriber Options for UNLIMITED Internet - WORTH IT? by pheesayor(m): 10:12am On Jan 31, 2017 |
since yesterday 74-500Kbps, mostly below 100 and bar has dropped to 1 from 3-5 here at Yaba near Adekunle |

4llerbuntu: Glo seem to have stepped up their game. Speed on 4g has been consistent. Download speeds average 2.5MB/s. Stream @ 480/720p without fear of buffering. Also there were some places i went to in dec last year that did not have 4g reception and they now have. So for now they are okay. |

I realised my problem might have to do with location, I had full bars from my office but now have one bar, I however noticed that when I go to the top floor I get full bars and increased speed |

Re: Subscriber Options for UNLIMITED Internet - WORTH IT? by 4llerbuntu(m): 3:32pm On Feb 06, 2017 |
you are making excuses for them. i used to do this too. what sort of useless telco gives you service in one part of a building and not the other? the same building. this is how there only one particular spot in my house that there's 2 bars of service, everywhere else and even outside in the open road there is none. smh |
Re: Subscriber Options for UNLIMITED Internet - WORTH IT? by Nobody: 4:04pm On Feb 06, 2017 |
4llerbuntu: I have for some odd reason, lived in duplexes since I started working.i have experienced this issue of good reception upstairs and poor reception downstairs. This is what made me move from a mifi to a desktop modem which I then connected to a dual band router. You are a hard geek, you have def experienced blindspots and all that. Not defending them per se. It is what it is. As a download demon, I have to put up with their unlimited with its hiccups. Like I said, I recently bought a gaming laptop, and I am catching up on some missed titles. When a game is 40gb after ripping, wetinman go do? Burn 1 month bandwidth for 12 hours of entertainment? 1 Like |

ntel has fully gone to sheet in festac at first i thought it was my desktop modem, because i was swapping out the sim to use in a mifi while working around satellite town. i get home, pop in the sim and zero network. after a wait there is one bar and a download speed of 3kbps wtf is this? |
