Pellegrini comfortably qualified City for UCL every season and competed for title most seasons. Pellegrini is the least of your worries. Worry about why Pep is making it look like rocket science, something Pellegrini did with slippers on.

Pellegrini qualified comfortably with goals aggregates. Ibime these loss of memory is getting acute

When Lahm won the world cup he played most of the games as a midfielder because he doesnt have the legs to bomb the flanks

You mentioned Valenica, Milner Monreal and Cahill

Tell us how many over 30 are in the Chelsea 11 or Liverpool 11 or Spurs 11 or Arsenal 11 and compare with CIty

City's defence is

Kolarov - 31
Otamendi - 28
Stones - 22
Zabaleta - 32

Yeah, that's really old. Try another one.

Pellegrini qualified with a game to spare.

It's also easy to ignore that city spent more money than every other team, but he didn't break the world record transfer fee so it's OK

These are offiacial policies of some clubs

Jose Mourinho believes Chelsea’s policy of only offering one-year contract extensions to players over the age of 30 acts as a challenge to his squad.
Blues captain John Terry saw his contract run down to its final few weeks last year before eventually agreeing to remain at the club for a further 12 months.

Terry is now entering the latter stages of that deal but Mourinho has reassured fans by guaranteeing his skipper will stay at Stamford Bridge next seas
http://www.getwestlondon.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/mourinho-explains-chelseas-challenging-contract-8761736

With Arsenal’s rather infamous policy of offering players over-30 no more than a one-year extension, Arteta appears to be comfortable with the offer despite the lack of long-term security that comes with the contract.

Where Spurs have Walker-Rose, Bellerin-Monreal, Valencia-Shaw, Clyne-Milner

City has Sagna, Zabaleta, Gibbs Kolarov all over 30

Kompany missed virtually all of last season and Pelle was competing for title until Peps arrival was announced. Last last he still made UCL with game to spare.

Pep is making that look like rocket science despite being giving the opportunity to improve the defence, for which he chose to sign John Stones.

You can claim 31 is deterioration age all you want, but that is not the truth. Philip Lahm is 33 years old now. I wonder why he wasn't deteriorated just because Pep was winning. He was the same age as Kolarov/Clichy when he won world cup.

Deterioration is just your crutch to excuse Pep. All these guys are agemate with Antonio Valencia, James Milner, Monreal, Gary Cahill etc

Nope!

Kompany played 13 league games last season (1/3 of City's league matches) and with him, City only lost 2 games and had 9 clean sheets in his 13 games played! Without him, City lost 8 games and kept only 7 clean sheets in 26 matches.

So, don't tell me it was Pep's announcement that cropped in those goals, it was their woeful defence without Kompany to help them out. It was even worse to the extent that Kompany had to play as soon as he was available without giving him enough time to recuperate! They had no win against all the teams that finished top 6 in the league last season to show how awful they were yet you're telling me nonsense?

Whether you like it or not, I've never rated Kolarov, Clichy even when they were young, so what are you going to do about it now that they are a lot older? Anyone who consistently watched Epl matches would know these players were accidents waiting to happen!

Only two fullbacks play at a time, and only their rightsided full back is old just like Philip Lahm was at Bayern. Infact, that Senegalese boy Sagna is the oldest yet the fittest of then all.

Try another one.

His main problem is Stones, Otamendi and the basket he bought in goal, never mind fullbacks. He thought this is Barca where you could get away with playing centrebacks that can't defend. This is not a place where you play Mascherano, Busquets, Song in defence.

That means City had no full back options under 30. Not to talk of Navas Toure etc

Was Stones and Bravo there when City was conceding the highest amount of goals among the top 4 for 2 seasons back to back?

City was conceding more than Van Gaal in the 2 seasons

I am sure it was Pep's making

You guys need to get your argument straight cos Ayamnotunderstanding.

Kompany is a centreback. The areas you are complaining of old age is at fullback.

Actually I agree with you because 90% of phuckups I see in City defence are from Otamendi and Stones.

So I don't know what Kolarov and Sagna and their age have to do with this.

If Pep like, he should go and replace Kolarov and Sagna and leave Stones and Otamendi as 1st choice. We will see whether they are not bullied to shege next season with 22 year old fullbacks playing beside them.

Van Gaal was known for tight defence. Their problem was too many 0-0 draws.

I have told you to stop worrying about Pellegrini who comfortably achieved what Pep is finding harder than JAMB question

All you've admitted is the fact that City's defence is quite poor! On top that, add a midfield of ageing Yaya and the crock, Gundogan and tell me if that should be a team aiming for the title! You already have your answer!

That is a team that has aimed for the title every year since 2011.

Pep had since January to upgrade and even with £67m spent on upgrade, he has made it even worse.

Who do you want me to blame for that? Ernest Shonekan, Pius Anyim Pius or Pep Guardiola?

That's about 6 yrs ago! And it's not like these players were teenagers or young players! They couldn't even defeat any of the top 6 teams including Westham last season, so what?

And yes, it's Pep's fault for failing to bring in the needed qualities and wasting resources on Stones, Sane etc but it's not his fault that the team is looking as shite as they are!

pep was given more than enough to upgrade the team when he arrive MCity,
why didn't he fix the problem, why didn't he buy player's who can get the job done for him

i guess he has learnt his lesson and hope he make adequate preparation next season to fight for the title

my top four by the end of this season are

1- #CFC for life
2- Liv
3- MUnited
4- MCity

That's all that need be said but it's his fault the team are looking this shyte because Pellegrini never looked this shyte and because he was confirmed back in January and he has total control of transfers.

He had no problem with his defence so far he got John Stones and sent Mangala away. He thought it was a walk in the park till EPL gave him a rude awakening.

If he had issues with his defence, he wouldn't be focusing on signing Xavi as Goalkeeper as his utmost prority. Goodmorning Fraudiola!

Anyway, everyone could see that City's defence needs a complete overhaul and a good midfielder was needed to replace the declining Yaya, not crock in the midfield! Pep trains defenders to be good on the ball and the likes of Puyol, Abidal, Masherano were what?

The fact that he made that claim in the media doesn't negate the fact that he's already rueing his decision to sign Stones. He already dropped Stone in some games but his other options were just as worse!

One thing I noticed about Pep is that he hardly criticised his players in the media and could be the reason he told the media that he doesn't train his players to tackle as a sweeping blanket comment to protect his players! He could have thrown Stones under the bus but he didn't.

Anyway, na his problem be that! Nobody told him not get beta players in the summer!
Those players you mentioned were already established hard tackler before pep was appointed as Barca coach.

He still chose to play Abidal etc and brought in the no nonsense defensive player, Mascherano. He also signed Vidal at Bayern.

Of course yes, he loves his defenders to be good on the ball but that doesn't mean they should be abject without it.
