No region in Nigeria currently wields as much power and influence as the South-West. There are indications that because of that, and other reasons, the South-West will play a colossal role shaping the political landscape of the nation come 2019. In what appeared like confirmation of underlying grumbling within the rank and file of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the South-West, vis-à-vis their relationship with the party at the centre, notable leaders in the region last week converged on Ibadan, Oyo State, with a view to thrashing out the issues. Evidently, the elaborate gathering was all about 2019; a review of what the South West-invested in the last three years in the political scheme of things, what it has gained so far and whether the outcome was commensurate with what its members invested. Analysts believe that the zone had already gotten enough, far ahead of other regions, a verdict that is being contested by some politicians in the Lagos-Ibadan axis. http://www.dailytrust.com.ng/news/general/2019-how-south-west-will-shape-nigerian-politics/181762.html 3 Likes |

I so much love the south-west. E.g Lagos and Ondo(my brothers lives there) as a Nigerian, I am always proud of Lagos state anyday, anytime. Although my Neighbours always refer to them as "Afonja" I still like them. The only problem i have with them is their support for the Notherners even in the face of wrongs. However God knows why. Nigeria Rocks. Just imagine how united we were when our troops matched to Gambia......... I love that feeling 53 Likes 1 Share |

No region in Nigeria currently wields as much power and influence as the South-West. There are indications that because of that, and other reasons, the South-West will play a colossal role shaping the political landscape of the nation come 2019. yet Obafemi Awolowo the widely acclaimed most influential Yoruba politician contested for the presidency three times and lost three times!!! Tinubu has been relegated in a party he played a major role in its formation. 36 Likes 6 Shares |

All parties involved in ousting Jonathan have gotten their fair share of the goodies. All risks involved have been tested except 2nd term syndrome. So nobody is a novice in the game, they are well informed elders. But they should know that giving another notherner a chance means giving the North 12years to rule Nigeria. 3 Likes 1 Share |
