vvvvvvvvvvvvvvv: Apply for the study permit with the dalhousie admission leter so you can buy time. You may change your school, program, field of study or level of study (e.g. from the Bachelor level to the Masters level) without applying for a new study permit. You do not need to apply for a change to the condition of your study permit, either. You may continue to use your study permit as long as it is valid. http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/helpcentre/answer.asp?qnum=487&top=15 http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/study/study-postsec.asp 2 Likes |

Lowoa: the first thing to do is to get admission into a Canadian educational institution . After your admission , you will then apply for student Visa |

Cyrus77: Depends on his legal status in Canada. Is he a permanent resident or is he in Canada by virtue of a study permit ? If he's in Canada in pursuant of a study permit, then he needs to pursue his Master’s degree first so as not to violate the conditions of his study permit. He may however run both simultaneously if he has the capacity to do so. Be advised; studying in Canada can be very tasking.....he needs to get his priorities straight and settled so as not to crash as like sosoliso jet. |

hello all, what still baffles about cic is that their are people who submitted a trv application via both route but after months they are yet to get an update on the processing....any clues about what might have went wrong? Here The Vegreville immigration processing centre in Alberta, which deals with permanent residence applications, was among the immigration operations that came under the microscope of the government’s quality management reviews. A total of 996 files processed between November 1 and December 6, 2013 were examined, and human error issues were found in 617 request letters sent to applicants, according to the department review. This represents a 62 percent error rate on the files that were reviewed. Staff failed, for example: to use the correct form letters, to address the problem of missing documents, and to give applicants accurate timelines. The Toronto Star reported that the following incidents occurred over the course of recent months: A Jamaican man got an official notice that his immigration application was being processed. Months later, he was told his incomplete package had been returned to him a long time ago, and nobody knows where his file is now. A student from India received a new student visa with the same expiry date as his old one. He was forced to miss a term of college while waiting for the problem to be corrected. A Toronto resident’s sponsorship for his parents in Syria was denied because officials said he had failed to respond to letters the family claimed it never received. A Croatian widow, now 76, is still waiting for a decision on a permanent residence application, seven years after her son applied to sponsor her. She now faces deportation after unknowingly paying only the old $75 visitor visa renewal fee, which had been raised to $200 a year previously. A Filipino woman moved to Canada as a live-in caregiver in 2007 and applied for permanent resident status in July, 2010, as soon as she met the employment requirement. Today, she is still waiting to get her papers and be joined by her daughter, 17, and son, 9. “People want, and deserve, transparency and fairness in the processing of their Canadian immigration applications. But in many cases, that’s not what is being delivered. Over the past decade or so, CIC processing has become increasingly rigid and inflexible. It really is heartbreaking at times,” says Attorney David Cohen http://www.cicnews.com/2015/06/cic-processing-leaves-applicants-limbo-065381.html |

Hey guys a friend told me that it's a compulsion to pay tuition fees before one can obtain a Canadian student visa. Please how true is this |
Re: Travelling To Canada Part 11 by Adedrizzy(m): 11:23am On Jan 22, 2017 |
ChristoBam: Its not true. Paying tuition fees just gives you an edge and shows your financial strength. A lot of people have gotten their visas without paying any tution, but for me, i will advice you pay maybe a half of it even though its not compulsory. |

Application delayed again! Well... Guess the PGD is the issue cos i addressed all issues raised in GCMS note. 1st application: PGD International Business Management Bachelors degree: B.Ed Economics. (Didint add my 2nd bachelors degree, Bsc Applied accounting) Reasons for delay: 1. purpose of visit 2. Current employment situation 3. Length of stay in Canada 2nd application: PGD International Business Management Bachelors degree: B.Ed Economics added Bsc Applied accounting, Advanced diploma in accounting and business from ACCA (a global professional accounting body) ACCA completion certificate Other docs: All employment letters from two previous companies and current company, application for study leave, Leave letter/ Leave certificate granted 2 years study leave, recommendation letter from company, payslips. Reasons for delay: 1. Travel history (Been to Dubai - 2014) 2. Purpose of visit. Brethren... What else can a man do? Genuinely want a business management post grad qualification cos i am a chartered accountant already and cos of the position i am aiming for in the company i work. |

gkgraphics: Hello sir. Pls what courier company did you use in sending your application? How much & how long to deliver to Fleming? Pls help as Feb 1 is almost here for fall applic deadline. Thanks in anticipation. |
Re: Travelling To Canada Part 11 by Austinpee4: 4:53pm On Jan 22, 2017 |
sammyacbxyz:Sorry about the refusal. Now to my bold statements, 1. No, PGD isn't the issue, your circumstances in pursuant of a PGD is! 2. How long since you left university? 3. How many years of work experience do you have in either your current occupation or any managerial(financial/business) level of some sort in addition to being a chartered accountant? 4. The position you are aiming at, will it be at top level of your establishment and was this somehow mentioned in your application? 5. How old are you? If you could give more details on these, i'm sure the real reasons won't be far fetched. |
