His best use is his movement, aerial threats and threats around the opposition box. The onus is on Herrera and Pogba to control the midfield and thread those passes which they failed, especially Herrera. While Miki and Mata looked uber useless!

If Fellaini had played alongside Carrick, you wouldn't be trying to exonerate Herrera from his poor display.

Pogba was one of our better players but I am suspecting he is blind in the left eye judging by the number of times he refused to pass the ball to a free Rashford preferring to force the ball through the middle.
As difficult as the day was for Mikki he still had a better performance than zlatan,mata, fellaini.
Zlatan is not playing very well and his solitary goals have been shielding him from criticism. We need to try Martial, Miki wide with Rashford as CF and we need at least 2 of those guys to start matches at all times. Without them we lack pace and movement up front.
