Look bro I didn't say Pep was a a trainer, I was just letting you know that the defenders didn't make their cut as elite under him If they had they wouldn't have only been good at possession keeping.
For me I believe Stones problem isn't ability but mentality and decision making which could be improved on with the right tutelage.

For your second paragraph I am not implying That Pep dosent like defenders that can tackle but rather he prefers defenders who have the ability to play high line and press, have good ball control, and be able to play across the backline and even mildfield since the kind of play he likes prevents opponents from seeing more of the ball. Versatility and ball coordination comes first with him tackling is an added bonus.

Your third is the highlight of my problem with him- first he ships out Hart for Bravo who can't even make a save to save his life, Second ships out mangala and brings in Stones- a case of jumping from frying pan to fire, buys a Gundogan who has seen more of the fitness clinic than some Nigerian medical rehab students. Every ln thing is going kaboom and he seems not to know what to do. His attack is one of the best in the league, his defence to me is average but they can still do besides he is known for promoting youth surely there are young defenders that should be able to deputise until season end and still make top four like that if man united.
For me Pep is good just the fact that he could manage big stars and be able to dominate with them mostly if not completely is commendable but then for him to enter into the book of legends like Sir Alex and Carlos Ancelotti he has to show he is flexible tactically and be able to shine against better opponents or mates above all suceed with in the epl with city then I agree he is legend and not just succeeding because he always has the better squad. Though it goes without saying that i pray he loses for so many reasons and the fact that everybody would do always have a blemish is another jinx ge might not break.
