It is not forbidden to use your brain. God gave it to you for a reason.
You DON'T compare a private university built by a religious body with one built by the government. If Muslim Society of Nigeria decides to build a school and outlaw Christian clubs in it, nobody will bat an eyelid. That's normal.

But for a FEDERAL or STATE university built with public money, in a so called secular state, the school admin have no business banning other religions from practicing their faith. If it bans ALL religious activities, then that's a better stance, than allowing Islamic bodies only.
Next thing, they would contemplate not giving admission to non muslims...and we are "one Nigeria?"

Umaru Musa Yaradua University is a state university nt FG. They also has FG university built during GEJ time. UMY University was formally Katsina state University, it was established during late Umaru Musa Yaradua time as Katsina governor. Katsina state university was renamed UMYU to immortalised Late Umaru Musa Yaradua.
Although wat dey did is wrong from my own perspective.

Are they Christian Association groups in Islamiyya schools anywhere in Nigeria? Wouldn't that be contradictory?

The University in question is a Federal/Government facility and thus cannot or rather should not by any perversion of law or reasoning dictate such a draconian and discriminatory policy.

Christians have been denying muslims their rights since God knows time. I schooled in SW. I know a number of public Sec Schools dat do nt allow muslims' gathering, while dey hold christian programmes every now n then. in fact, they used to hold general programmes in d sch chapel, which muslims must also attend. singing n dancing n preaching n cursing dia enimies....

I had my first degree at Federal College of Education Katsina. The University is directly opposite FCT, Katsina. It was still under construction when I left Katsina

Now, here is the thing, while the school was under construction , we heard it was fully funded by the Saudi Arabia government. Katsina just gave them the land. So that could be one of the reasons for this.
The school is basically a religious school.

Christians should just avoid the school for them.

That doesn't work. Are they not designated a govt uni? Is it a Saudi school? Do they not receive subventions and funding from the FG? Are there no christian on Katsina that have a right to attend that uni? Are the salaries and emoluments of lecturers n staff including the acting Dean that signed this rubbish not from the government?
