She was told there wasn't going to be exams and she believed. She was scammed at the end of the day. I don't care about the remaining part of the scam story.

That actually happened after she has paid for the form now! What she paid for according to her story was the form. It was after payment that she asked wen the exams will be come up but the man replied it will based on o level result n catchment area....she was surprised too with the reply.......see the chat where she replied " just like that"

Confusedsoul:
I was surfing the web few days ago when i came across a post by an "Admin" on this website (www.ijebu-ode.adsafrica.com.ng) about Ijebu school nursing form. I quickly copied the contacts there and gave the first a call. I called him to confirm if the form was truly out and the closing date. Then he replied that it was closing the same day at 3:30pm, i should take N7,500 with me to first bank and when i get there i should give him a call.
I doubted his authenticity so i called the second contact not knowing they are both working together.

Our conversation goes thus
"Hello sir, this is **** from ikorodu, i'm calling to inquire about Ijebu's nursing form and the closing date cos i just called someone who told me it's closing by 3:30pm"
Then the man replied
"My daughter, don't mind that man o, he's a 419 and i'm the real Admin. I'm going to send the account number of our co-ordinator to you now so send the N7,500 there before 3pm so as to go do the registration for you"
I must confess, i swallowed all what he said cos he sounded responsible and also like someone in his late 50s.

He instantly inboxed me on whatsapp and we started chatting.

I ran helter skelter for the money which i was able to borrow from a friend with my second phone as collateral. I sent it to the account number he gave me
"SCHOOL CO-ORDINATOR'S ACCOUNT NAME: DR OTEDOLA KOLAWOLE. ACCOUNT NUMBER 3110811580. FIRST BANK PLC"

After doing that, we started chatting and he asked me to send my waec result and passport which i did.

Along the line, i asked when i should come to Ijebu Ode to submit my form and he said he has done it for me. I asked for the examination date and he replied "My dear, so you don't know there is no written examination? This year's admission will be given based on your O'level result"
I was so surprised
Then he said "My daughter, admission process here is 25k and i will collect nothing up to that cuz you're my daughter" I then called a friend who told me that the school has been closed few years ago. It was then that it dawned on me that i've been duped! When he also realised that i've gotten his scope, he blocked me on Whatsapp. I called him the next day with another number and when he recognized my voice, he ended the call and blocked me. My friend gave him a call and he promised to refund and ended the call afterwards. He then blocked him too. He hasn't sent the money o! Please help me identify this scammer

His number
08060588319
The number he sent his account number with
08106644747

The first number i called.
07037433010

Sorry to hear about this. However, I can help you with the address of the scammers so that you can get them arrested if you want. Since I know the account number and/or phone number, I can send the address to you. Please let me know if that will help.

Ah!

Anyway, refund shouldn't be too hard. Just go to the First Bank branch and report the case, they will know how to help you, and probably get him arrested with EFCC.

Meanwhile, we will start our little corner room investigation. He will surely regret his actions soon.

how can i go about it,one of my friend is also in that victim

it's obvious that you paid into a private bank a/c. And with the owner's BVN number, he can easily be located and arrested. Just talk to them at the bank and they will know how to handle the rest.

If not that Nigerian police will not have time for this kind of case. It's just a matter of hours before the person will be arrested.

I doubt if you even know the name of the school.
Secondly, from the Web address along you should have sensed it.
There's a nursing school in Ogun State truly tho.

Post the address anyway.... even if he refunds her.... his house must be targeted... if not he moves on to scam the next person. And whether refunded or not...Op should go to the bank and fill the form as advised.... it is our actions or inactions that would allow this kind crime to flourish or fade away.
@Op...more important than the money.... the biggest and most damaging Internet crime is identity theft. You have given out your passport details and most likely somebody may use your identity. You need to report that immediately to help clear your name in case of any future travel wahala that can range from visa denial to arrest at airport.

Hmmm!
Mugu fall,guy man go wack!
Open your eyes very well and investigate.
Never send money to personal accounts.
See what you are buying before paying.
There are too many unrepentant fraudsters prowling the internet looking for who to devour.
A word is enough for the wise.

@OP,goodluck. Hope you get your dough back.

People always think I am too skeptical, but this case here is my major reason.

My nephew got scammed last year when he wanted to purchase the UI DLC form. He saw a number on the web and called and the man that answered the line told him to pay as the form was closing at 4 that day. He rushed to my office to beg for money and I told him to calm down. I explained that it was obviously a scam and that he should go to the school's website and make enquiries. My nephew left and got the money elsewhere (10,000 naira) and paid to the scammer. I later got to hear the story from his mother because he couldn't dare to tell me himself. I called him and told him how disappointed I was that in this age of information at your fingertips, he could be so easily scammed.
