I don't know why some people here keep on saying that Trump dont have right or say in Nigeria internal affairs or sovernity wen the hand writing is written all of the wall that this country Nigeria have been divided and shared. Some of you that still dream in a fool world have soon forgotten CIA prediction that Nigeria will disintegrated in 2015 and just because 2015 has come and gone doesn't mean that the prediction of CIA concerning Nigeria disintegration have gone with it.Havent you dimented brain in this forum ask this question why suddenly the Biafra struggle resurrected and champion by IPOB and there is no part of the world you will not see the presence of IPOB and again why did IPOB so much have trust and believe that Trump or even Putin back them |

discusant: Let me tell you the story about another African nation and former British colony named Sudan. You see, those in the Southern part of the country had been clamoring for separation for years because of the injustices against them and the domination from the North. The thinking was that the solution to what was going on in Sudan was for the Southerners to be allowed to leave and form there own new country which they did. It was called South Sudan. Now fast forward to present day and the newly formed country is in the midst of a brutal civil war. It turns out that they turned on each other along tribal lines and just like when they were still in Sudan they have turned to genocide. This begs the question, why is it that Africans can't solve there problems amicably without resorting to violence? Why do they let their leaders divide them along ethnic lines? Why are a lot of Africans so ruled by their emotions (especially anger) and are so quick to turn on each other over every single slight? Why do the people easily turn to outbursts of anger and violence when things don't go there way? Why can't they put the past behind them instead of always bringing it up and using it to fuel more conflict? why do they like making decisions based on emotions instead of logic or reason? And most importantly, why can't they learn to accept there differences and learn to live side by side with each other? We are in the 21st century for goodness sakes and we are still fighting each other? Are the racists right that the only thing we are good at his violence and disease after all that's what they see when they watch stuff about Africa. It seems that everyone is going forward except for us? |

stinechykee: You keep talking about Sudan so let me tell you the story about the country. For years, those in the Southern part of the country had been clamoring for separation because of the injustices against them and the domination from the North. The thinking was that the solution to what was going on in Sudan was for the Southerners to be allowed to leave and form there own new country which they did. It was called South Sudan. Why are a lot of Africans so ruled by their emotions (especially anger) and so quick to turn on each other over every single slight? Why do the people easily turn to outbursts of anger and violence when things don't go there way? Why do they look at people who are not willing to solve their problems with violence as weak or cowards? Why can't they put the past behind them instead of always bringing it up and using it to fuel more conflict? why do they like making decisions based on emotions instead of logic or reason? One of the most important lessons I learnt on leadership is that leaders should not make decisions when they are emotional. They should take some time to calm down, cool off and make a decision based in reason and not out of anger. A good leader should be calm and level headed. You would think that some Africans would have learnt this but instead they keep making the same emotionally fueled decisions and following leaders who make decisions our of bitterness and revenge instead of logic and strategy. Finally, why can't we learn to accept there differences and learn to live side by side with each other? We are in the 21st century for goodness sakes and we are still fighting each other. Are the racists right that the only thing we are good at his violence and disease after all that's what they see when they watch stuff about Africa. Seems as if all bets are off when it comes to Trump. Here are a few things Nigeria should read into the new US Administration's vows to place America first, reinvest in the arms industry and pursue an anti-globalisation agenda: 1) Putting America First: For the the next four years, America means not to care what the consequences of her policies means for the rest of the world. Among other things, it means that ethics are out of the windows. Gone from her considerations would be all those World Heath and UN Millenium goals to eradicate worldwide poverty by improving health, child mortality, and water sanitation and so on. America could for instance subsidies as much as she wants to safeguard her industries and agriculture regardless of how the third-world may be affected in terms of international trade. At the same time, America could dictate what Third-world nations should or should not trade or risk cutting aid. This could result in a return to chronic forms of famine in Africa or accept GM Crops. Worldwide instability and insecurity through armed conflict will worsen. This last is were Nigeria and Biafra comes in (see point 2) 2) Reinvesting in the arms industry Peoples' obvious thought here would be that part of Trumps administration’s strategy for improving the US economy is to invest in the vast military complex and also to project further the US power in the face of newer global challenges from the likes of China, North Korea, Iran and so on. Thing is, America is already vastly more advanced militarily than all the powers of the upstarts combined. Nigeria should read the pronouncement as the US signalling her intent to sell arms to the world without ethical consideration. This may mean out goes considerations for the Leahy Law that prevented the sales of US arms to Nigeria. Where Nigeria may find Opportunities so too may all forms of insurrectionists find that they are able to procure arms unchallenged by the West. The arms market may spiral out of control as every major world power- unshackled now, compete to sell arms. 3) Anti-globalisation agenda. Nigeria should take this to mean not only the US cutting down on aids and investment around the world in order to invest at home but an abandoning of the world as touched on above. |

See, already, Trump has now signed executive order canceling funding for those organizations that provide safe environment for abortions in third world. Where one stands on the abortion debate regardless, this Trump edict should be viewed in terms of cost-cutting, not religion, although many will point to the influence of vice-president's Pence a man that has made no secret of his religious leanings. One of the things that makes Trump twice dangerous is the fact that he won the presidency in spite of offending minorities. Trump believes now he does not need minorities to win the next election and consequently does not need to make concessions. 1 Like |
