Hello, Please what does the below imply?? Post Graduate Certificates: Graduate Certificates require a minimum 15 years of academics in 1st or 2nd Division (Degree or Diploma) PLUS the admission requirements noted for each individual program. |

I tracked my application online and this was what I saw ''Your processed passport has been dispatched from the Canada Visa Office ACCRA , on 29/12/2016 to the Canada Visa Application Centre. To know more, please call VAC helpline number or visit VAC website '' Please what does this mean? I'm scared .... Austinpee4 |

iluvkpetus: If you didn't get a medical call, it could mean a refusal, and if you did get a medical call, be hopeful it could be approval or refusal. Don't be scared, but rather prepare for the best |
Re: Travelling To Canada Part 11 by iluvkpetus: 6:17pm On Jan 22, 2017 |
CannyZionist:I've been checking my email all these while thinking there was no reply only decided to track the application online on this website ''https://www.vfsvisaonline.com/Global-PassportTracking/'' input the tracking number sent to my email when I submitted and that was what I saw, Yet nothing in my email |
Re: Travelling To Canada Part 11 by iluvkpetus: 6:19pm On Jan 22, 2017 |
Is the medical call ONLY via my email or what because I'm so confused right now, don't know the interpretation of what I saw on that website |
Re: Travelling To Canada Part 11 by CannyZionist: 6:30pm On Jan 22, 2017 |
iluvkpetus: Yes, if you get a medical mail, it means your file has been reviewed and found to be okay before final decision is taken as to grant a visa or not. But in your case, I assume you didn't get medical mail. If you were sent a mail, you would definitely see it in your email box if you didn't link your application (that is if you applied via paper). Remain hopeful, maybe your case is different. All the best as you collect your parcel at vfs |

sammyacbxyz: Boss sorry about the refusal. Buh frankly if you'd ask me....I don't see any academic or career progression in your intending program (pgd). You have a B.ed in economics and a Bsc in accounting and work experience though I do not know the number of years of experience you got, buh the summary of the gist is that the VO did not see the need for this program in light of your work and academic history. Your circumstance would have placed you in a comfortable position to pursue a Master’s degree rather than a pdg. Obviously program consistency isn't the problem. As you have rightly hinted, pdg is the problem. Master's degree would sell better than a pgd. Sometimes when you have wealth of work experience and substantial academic history in a particular field it is better you aim for a Master’s degree. Unless you have other explanations for the refusal on the ground of Purpose of visit, I'd really suggest you aim for an MBA. Try ucw. 1 Like |

Good day guys, i need someone to advice me. I am currently a masters degree student in one of the Eastern European countries and i have a PhD admission offer in Canada with studentship to cover living expenses. However i intend to apply for TRV from my country of residency, On the CIC form i was asked my current status in the country of residence which i filled as a student to graduate 2018. Will that hinder my application given that i would definitely abandon the programme and move to Canada if granted TRV. |

CanadianNurse: Perhaps marriage certificate, if the day is near. Pay your school fees from an account that reads his name. Transfer some millions into yours and back it up with letter. This one that you are going for undergrate study at marriage ripe age. Baba I assume you already have UG cert, go for PG in your UG course, if you can, to avoid stories that touch bumbum. Cos I wonder how you will tackle the gap between your ssce and your new admission plus your age, previous Bsc, etc. The account you will present must show that it can comfortably pay for the whole of your study too. I hope your in-law have very good source of income and not just fat account. You can save yourself most stress if you go for PG in your undergraduate course. PG means less financial requirement and reduce rejection based on finance, sign of continuity on purpose of visit, etc. Think well and be strategic. Canada has good history if busting bubbles of those that doesn't. Be informed. Caution: I am just an admission seeker with no personal visa app experience yet. 1 Like |
Re: Travelling To Canada Part 11 by yemdogg: 8:15am On Jan 23, 2017 |
Osemigho: Well said bro. I will also add that the VO would ordinarily not believe that a 3rd party sponsor (Prospective In-law) would make that huge financial commitment to @CanadianNurse for an undergraduate degree (4 yrs). unless you show evidence of previous compelling and positive financial assistance to you. If it were to be a Postgraduate degree...It would still be comprehensible. An undergraduate degree would be a tough sell. The financial commitment involved will be too much. Except the sponsor can show substantial and overwhelming financial buoyancy and has no serious dependent/responsibility |
Re: Travelling To Canada Part 11 by yemdogg: 8:28am On Jan 23, 2017 |
sammyacbxyz: Travel history is not a serious ground for refusal and that is why it doesn't usually stand as the sole ground for refusal. Once you've settled the purpose of visit, proof of funds, personal assets/finances, then you're good to go. You need not travel just so you can remedy the "travel history ground". Once the VO is convinced about your genuineness of purpose and sufficient financial support to run your program then he/she could careless about your travel history. Except you have violated a visa condition for example remaining in a country after the expiration of your visa. In such circumstance, then i'd really worry about the "travel history ground for refusal" buh in absence of that i'd worry less and focus my energy on purpose of visit, proof of funds and other cogent grounds. However, if you are still apprehensive about it, you can briefly state in your sop that because you've been so committed and engaged with your studies and work, you haven't really had the time to travel outside Nigeria as such. You have to be strategic about this ! By the way, 6 years of working experience in finance in addition to your academic history (2 degrees in finance) makes you over qualified for your intending program (PGD). I may be wrong though ! |

First I want to say a very big thank you for everyone support and guidance. You guys are the best. I am here again with my questions. My sponsor is my Mum, but my parents are separated making her drop my Father last name (xxxxx) and she started using her own father name(yyyyy) , same name on her international passport. All my documents for sponsorship has her own father name(yyyyy) but the only place its different is on my birth certificate which has her name as my fathers name (xxxxx). And you know our parents, no change of name document cos they dont need it. What do guru suggest ? Thanks |

sammyacbxyz:With this profile, you will be considered an established, experienced and mature professional/applicant. In this case, your general plans after studies will be more in-view than studying the PGD program which in turn should translate to a progression academically and careerwise. A PGD in canada normally is not a direct route to a master degree program as both are tailored to serve different purposes depending on which you qualify for and overall serve your personal interest moving forward. Well, since they know you very well now(education and work experience profile), a PGD is not going to help your profile, consider getting into a Pre-masters program if you can since an MBA isn't what you are ready for right now. Make a study plan clear and precise in your SOP if you eventually consider this, your overal intentions will still have to out weigh the study level you will present to CIC, they have your profile and with a 3rd attempt, the greater percentage of your next application review may likely lie on, where and how will all these effort help and end him moving ahead? Ensure you show them your genuine intentions through a more conviencing application and surely, It will end well. Truly wish you the best in the next application. 1 Like |

edirex:Since your application has passed the stipulated processing time, you may want to send a case enquiry to CIC to find out the status of your application through their web form found here http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/contacts/web-form.asp |

sammyacbxyz:Guy check the attached document if your experience is close enough to any of the Noc in demand and stop wasting your time and money on TRV and go for PR, I was in your shoe once, though got my TRV in third attempt. Evaluate you credentials and sit for IELTS, you can be nominated within 3months and get ITA. CanadianNurse: bro there are so many ways u ve to show commitments on a 3rd party sponsorship, 1st in convincin the vo that he is truly interested enough to sponsor you( he has to detail a well composed sponsorship letters gvin clearly d reasons he choose to sponsor u, d potentials he see's in you dat want to mk him to send u to cana to further u study) after doing dat he has to attach all his supporting documents like marriage cert, employment letter/itself employed documents of d business, I'd cards an all personal asset, den his dependants if he has four and his financial aid is not strong enough I will advice u put one or 2 to liten ur way, if he can pay part of ur school fees or transfer funds to ur personal acct and back it up wit a letter nice for u too. success bro |
Re: Travelling To Canada Part 11 by Austinpee4: 9:55am On Jan 23, 2017 |
judebebo32:No, it won't hinder your application. Anyone can decide to go for something that will better add value to him/her. A PHD offer is even much more advantagous and canada will gladly want to have you in their country to add value. They will only be concerned about your legal status in country of residence when you file in your application as well as the processing time. If your legal stay allow for the time frame, you are fine. Once the review your application and a positive decision made, they expect you to go their country and be of more advantage to them. Who no like better thing? Just get in a good application. |
