Yes it does, if you have up to or above CLB 9 (8777 in LRWS), you will get extra 25 marks for combination of 3 year work experience and CLB9 IELTS and another 25 marks for combination of 2 or more certificates/MSC and CLB9 IELTS score. So to guarantee a score above 450, you need the following: 1. CLB9 and above in IELTS, 2. 2 or more certificates and above under education 3. 3 or more years of work experience and 4. age not more than 31 yearsold. 40manlappy: 3 Likes 1 Share |

The main issue will be your medicals. You might not be able to take X-ray as part of the medicals. So your application will be paused until after you give birth. Once you give birth before landing, you will need an updated POF to match a family of 3 as you will have to include your baby in your application. Some pregnant women risk it sha by using Lead Apron for the X-Ray. vcole and all other Medical Doctors in the house will be able to advise you on the risk involved in going this route. If you are however able to do your medicals even while pregnant and you get PPR before you give birth, just ensure you land as fast as possible and go and give birth to your Canadian baby(ies) cathymia: 2 Likes 1 Share |

Pinkygrace: I can so relate, I've always disliked essays. You'll be fine. I don't know if you do, but if you don't practice with the ielts sheet, (ieltsliz has a download link) it would help you save time counting words during the exam. |

Thanks very much! @dupsyshoo, Thanks also for your comments so far! I got my TRF today and filled my profile, would submit soon. I have started gathering my documents and need some few clarifications: 1. I work in KSA but temporarily in Nigeria for vacation. I guess my country of residence should be stated as KSA right? 2. Can I just go ahead and do my medicals in Qlife since I am in Lagos ATM? Or must it be done in KSA? 3. Also, I have POF in KSA Bank, which is my Salary account.....but that place is so difficult that I doubt I will get a reference letter how much more a letter with special reference...In that case, can I submit a stamped Bank statement only? Even if I try, best I will get would be a Normal Bank statement + a normal bank reference letter. Can this suffice? 4. @vcole what supporting documents did you add to your individual letters of experience? Did you add payslips? Appointment letters, Id cards e.t.c? I didn't see any of these in CIC site but some people are suggesting it. Thanks. |

Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program Connect Here by Blackbuddy: 10:25pm On Jan 23, 2017 |
Fusion23: Yes indeed its faster. For my brother-in-law, it took him just 5 months or so with Express Entry, he landed here last December. Its generally faster now for Express Entry applicants but we still have many FSW 2014 applicants yet to have the process completed. Priority is being given to Express Entry applications so you are in the fortunate bracket. All the best. 2 Likes |

Hello all, What amount is safe in Naira to have as POF for a family of two? Considering the relatively unstable exchange rate. CaD $15143 translates to about 3.5m on oanda and about 3.4m on xe, presently. But I was just wondering, how much exactly can u have to consider urself safe? Pls, the gurus in the house. I need answers/suggestions. Tnx. |

Blackbuddy:Okay! so this is going to be long and colourful....literally but necessary. I'm also going to highlight pertinent parts cc fusion23 Fusion23: Hello Guys my application changed to approved.....but have not gotten a pick up mail. Please how long those it takes Blackbuddy:could range from 3 weeks to 6 months. We have someone who got his family's passports back in December after sending it to Accra in July last year. Just brace yourself Fusion23: looool passport request is different from application closed and approved. Blackbuddy: Your question was about passport request and I answered you with an example for it, not application duration. The gentleman applied through EE was requested to send his passports in July, no further documents were requested. He did not get it till December 2016 with the visas and COPRs. I got my passport request in March 2015 and got the passports and COPR back in April, 3 weeks later. I landed here June 2015 through FSW. I perfectly understand your question, it's left for you to understand the answer Petty00de00: Let's take a short break so I can provide some commentary, Fusion23 asked about Pick UP Mail but you maintained the question was about passport request and even requested they understand an answer that had nothing to do with the question asked. Sure Sir! Sure.Let's resume.... Fusion23: hmmm am a bit confused..the question you commented on was not on passport request ..i ask that question earlier and people commented that it varies..am asking how long does it take to get pick up mail from when the application is closed ..and approved... so the misunderstanding from me ..is where you commented on..and so since u have gotten urs , how long did yours take Blackbuddy: It varies, there is no time table for it but depends on the officer handling your file. This one can be 2 weeks to 5weeks based on my experience with applicants Petty00de00: Final break time!, You got Fusion23 confused and even got him/her admitting to an error they didn't make but where's the fun in that, why not crank up the pressure by providing false information. I don't know what forum you're coming from but I know CV forum as well as I know this and 2-5 weeks duration has never cropped up as time frame for PUM, post approval. With the exception of xls and another individual who were told that their PUM was sent after application approval but didn't get it, no one has ever suffered from delay longer than a week. Its common knowledge there that if you wait for 3 days, max 5 without getting a PUM, you mail accra. Somehow, you failed to mention this!. I'm sure the individual you were referring to that "packaged" his application himself wasn't Aroms, I'm sure!. On your story being told by you, well man, I rate it 100% for suspense and since we are sharing sage advice, how about I offer you one in return?!. Don't bypass logic just because you don't want to be wrong. "Correction" is after all a word in the dictionary. Shalom |

trishachi: I assume you're using 230. You should consider using 240 or 245. On xe, it's almost 3.5m too |

Pinkygrace: Well..this is an elementary challenge, we have all faced it one time or the other. As a rule of thumb, it is important you plan your essay before you start writing. you will have 40 mins to complete the task 2 essay, technically, the first 10 mins is for you to; Read the question, understand the requirement and write down your ideas vis a vis the requirement. I look forward to receiving your essay. Cheers |

Yes, you drop 5 points ish every year once you clock 30. So by the time you are 36, you would have dropped 35 points. Once you are 36 year old, you will require any of the following to boost your score: PNP, Canadian education/experience, PhD, second language, job offer ajiifixing: |
Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program Connect Here by dupyshoo: 9:52am On Jan 24, 2017 |
1. Yes 2. You can do it anywhere you want. However, please bear it in mind that it is better to do medicals close to the submission date of your application so that you will have more time to land after PPR. This is due to the fact that you have to land before your medicals expire which is usually a year from the date of the medicals 3. Yeah 4. Reference letter that contains all the required info will suffice. Any other doc such as appointment letters, payslips, ID cards etc are not necessary. esosa4real: |

dupyshoo:Thanks @dupyshoo for the info...I saw you mentioned on someone else's post that medicals should be done as close to the eAPR submission as possible...so it's ok to submit 2-weeks to the 90 day deadline right? Has anyone on here gotten a Police Certificate from Ghana? (as a Nigerian, non-resident of Ghana)? @vcole can you please offer some advice on medicals/pregnancy/eAPR submission... |
