If there is a God the Father and a God the Son, wouldn't there have to be a mother god as well? 2 Likes 1 Share |

No. There isnt. Just like saying Since Professor Soyinka was taught by a teacher, hence there must be a teacher that taught God to the point of Omniscience!!! 1 Like 1 Share |

That main stream religions (Christianity /islam) doesn't recognize God the Mother doesn't mean she doesn't exist. Catholics bequeath Virgin Mary the title of "Mother of God," and the question is: can a mortal birth a God? Even in the Pagan religion of my ancestors "God the Mother" (Eka Abasi) was/is recognized, if the alleged Pagans knew that truth, how much more the followers of the assumed true God? |

The names, the Father and Son are merely titles/positions given to personified the task/function of the GodHead in Redemption. That is Authority by the Father has to be utterly obeyed by the Son. The key point is the creation of obedience in the universes, since the creator don't know how to obey in the beginning because there's no one to obey to. |

God the father has a masculine nature and a feminine nature. Man is regarded as a head in all family institutions. Now to the Question, God the fatheris represented in his masculine form as he is the head of all creature. While nature takes the feminine form . God the son is the physical manifestation of God the father, God the holy spirit is the active force through which he works and takes the feminine position in the mold of the church. 1 Like |

menxer: Are you saying only the RCC and Paganistic religions are the only ones who recognise a mother god? |

Mary was the mother of the man Jesus, she was not the mother of His Spirit-the Word of God: Joh 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. |

OLAADEGBU: I will assume you can differentiate between a statement and a question. As a Pentecostal, Evangelical, or Orthodox Christian, If Yahweh is "God the Father", who is "God the Mother"? Virgin Mary? A mortal? God + God = God God + Mortal = Demigod Mortal + Mortal = Mortal |

OLAADEGBU:New American Standard Bible Although He was a Son, He learned obedience from the things which He suffered.Hebrew5;8 The above verse stated that Christ learnt Obedience when He came as a Man.meaning that obedience was not formally constituted in the GodHead. So creation He started in Genesis was actually concluded on the Cross of Calvary when He said "It Is Finish" |
