tbaba1234: It is about strategy. Guardiola wanted to play someone with pace upfront in that game and Sterling suited the role. |
Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2025 And 2026 World Cup by TheGoodJoe(m): 9:09pm On Jan 25, 2017 |
tbaba1234: There is limited options on the bench. Gabriel Jesus is a poster boy of the team, coupled with the return of Delph. If Delph did not return, Iheanacho would have made the bench. 1 Like |

TheGoodJoe:Are you sure you read the writeup or you just want to argue, most guys on this sports section don't give a fvck bout Man city we just want what good for Nigeria players. From last season Iheanacho was their poster boy, mancity fans brag about nancho in their club, if arsenal or ManU call Iwobi or Rashford they call Nacho, he was like a man city project, he was use to project to the world the growth and quality in the mancity academy, even when this season kits was unveiled, Iheancho was one of the players called up, so if you are telling me Jesus is now the poster boy after few months then our boy Iheanacho gat no future in Mancity. 3 Likes |

zicky: The thing about people like you, you start rash but at the end, say things off point. You asked if I read the write up, please, show me what you think I missed. |
Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2025 And 2026 World Cup by zicky(m): 9:38pm On Jan 25, 2017 |
TheGoodJoe:Sorry bros if I sound rash, bt for people like us that watch some of this foreign clubs because we want to watch our players perform won't be happy with what's happening to Nacho, many football expert and fans are saying thesame thing, "Guardiola is killing this guy confidence" and only you feel Guardiola is in the right path with Nacho, I don't think you want the best for Nacho, you are only concern about you club. 4 Likes |

TheGoodJoe:you miss these "There was also a sense of expectation surrounding the development of youngster Kelechi Iheanacho, as it were the firstborn from the bowels of the “New Manchester City”. |
Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2025 And 2026 World Cup by TheGoodJoe(m): 9:56pm On Jan 25, 2017 |
zicky: Seriously. As in, seriously. I am saying Gabriel Jesus is a poster boy of City and you come up with that. Have I Not written things like that of why Iheanacho is important to City? Then you say I missed it. Please. Guardiola and Txiki, our Technical director met with Gabriel Jesus before he arrived the club. That is heavy. |
Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2025 And 2026 World Cup by TheGoodJoe(m): 9:57pm On Jan 25, 2017 |
zicky: Ha. I expected something fresh than killing confidence. That is just regurgitated stuff thrown around. Say what you know. You do not know what I think. |

tbaba1234: Justify? Please, City means more to me than Guardiola. I want the team doing well. At that period, we were on a poor run of form. When Guardiola did it, I expected it. I already talked about it long ago on this thread. So, it is not justification. That is how people said I was justifying Keshi, then Siasia. Now it is Guardiola. I weigh the factors to the best of my knowledge. |

TheGoodJoe:I believe you read the part the writer spoke about Nacho starting just 5games and not going beyond 60mins even after scoring and assisting save for one. What will you call that "confidence booster" Is that how your Lord & Master Pep boost other players confidence or is that part of the drill. |
Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2025 And 2026 World Cup by TheGoodJoe(m): 10:12pm On Jan 25, 2017 |
zicky: As I said, regurgitated. Unless you do not understand the meaning of regurgitation. Sane had not played much games before his performance against Tottenham Hotspur. Was killing Sane's confidence too? After showing that Sane improved in training before the Tottenham Hotspur game, I did not expect confidence booster. |

Icon4s: Based on what I have seen at the AFCON, my top 5 would be (in this particular order): Senegal DR Congo Ghana Egypt Tunisia The jury is still out on Nigeria. I will find it difficult to rank a team that didn't qualify for the AFCON amongst the top 5 teams in Africa. Two games does not a team make. O pari 1 Like |

And by the way, did anyone realize that Cristiano Ronaldo has NOT scored any goal since he was named the FIFA player of the year? And in that time window, peerless Leo Messi has scored 6 times. Both FIFA (and the Ballon D'Or organizers) should be ashamed of themselves. O pari |

OK. The fake Ronaldo just scored a weak free kick today against Celta, but still doesn't take anything from his long dry spell |

Icon79:I initially pointed it out and it is not one but two nations cup, however they will get there. The game against Cameroon will show us a lot, I also want us to remember that we needed defenders on our bench just in case someone gets injured |

ucheo:I know comment like this w come up and truly w need to draw a curtain on Guardiola,Man city issues here, though Iheanacho development was always d main attraction but w have many young ones coming up that deserves our attentions' |

Lazyerudite:Yes good defenders, not only on d bench but good ones that w give d regulars tough competition. I always like to re watch most Nigeria matches,i can say from Algeria match,w still have a long way to go in our defence, good right full back needed and work need to be done with our central defence especially Ekong who has to build his confidence, not forgetting most experience Eagles defender Elderson Echiejele, who need to always show consistencies in his game. 1 Like |

Kog45:I Thut I was the only one who observed that, one of the few reasons why I want no pressure on the team, we need to play teams who hold on to the ball and can attack very well so we can assess them more. Also need us to concede early in one of the friendlies to see how we react. Our bench defensive wise Is nothing to write home about. And I think Balogun and Troost to play more games together. 1 Like |

Kog45: If anyone wants to talk about another young player like Yahaya, K. Nwakali, C. Nwakali, Osimhen, Awoniyi etc, the person can bring up the topic and people will chip in. If Solace Chukwu writes about his worries of Iheanacho at City, I do not see how talking about it derails the thread. It is a common occurrence on this thread of people to say stop talking about it. However, they forget that a discussion on something does not stop another from raising a topic. So, Please, those who want to talk about something else, can you raise the topic? It sounded to me like the Real Slim Shady Please stand up. |
