Spin doctors.

The letter was read on the Senate floor in the presence of many witnesses(television audience inclusive).

you are trying to spin it. Try again. Hypocrites.

Tell me something, Tell us something else. Do you guys really think Nigerians are stupid? You thought it's one of those things you do and get away with it just like that abi? Mr President please resign and leave Nigeria alone. You're too old and confused to handle this weight on your shoulders.

At 70+ you should be suckling on feeding bottles like pretty Mike, play with your grandchildren, tell them stories of how you fought in the war, how you always come first in your class while in school, Get enough sleep and attend to visitors once in a while not governing a country of over 190million citizens and still be biased n your decisions and appointments. Sir you've fail those who really looked up to you for change.

If you had followed the story more closely and dispassionately; you would have realised that the senate had rushed to send the president a preliminary report (i.e. still ongoing, yet to be completed) with recommendations to sack and prosecute the SSG; meanwhile the president saw reasons to tread with caution based on the content of the report and wrote back to draw attention to them.

Among them were apparent lack of fair hearing and quorum in some of the committee sittings etc (which may have been verbally later clarified by Senator Sani in the senate yesterday but certainly left out of the report to the president that could have avoided him asking questions).

The president was therefore well within his rights to have made the observations he did; the senate is now obliged to look into them and address them in its final concluding report to be sent back to him.

The president's letter could not in any way be construed as a presidential clean bill for the SSG or even an outright rejection of the senate report.

Unfortunately, our increasingly lazy and unprofessional media blew the whole thing out of proportion with its misleading headlines; while our half baked gullible youth, as usual bought it as gospel truth without questioning or independent thinking or rational deduction - apparently you are also part of that brigade.

Babachir is going nowhere, wailers can go to hell. If the Senate can not force it leadership to resign in the face of glaring evidence of corruption, forgery and false assets declaration, what morale right does it have to force a hard working SGF to resign over a spurious allegation? nonsense. Just because the president is fighting corruption, all his appointees that is alleged to be corrupt should be dismissed without proper investigation and fair hearing so that the presidency can be weakened? no way the president will allow that to happen. Everyone has a right to defend themselves weather you are a Senate president or a SGF.

Enough of all these unlicensed lies they dish to us citing 'top official', an 'anonymous source' etc. Every institution has spokesperson (s) as the case may be. Those are the ones we want to listen to, not all these eavesdroppers and unconfirmed sources.
