What a throw back. Op thanks for this and very good gesture from the mod that pushed it to the fp.

Pls share your experiences like @ganiyat72 did.
Pls also tell us what actually happened on that particular day? Did any group claim responsibility? Was anybody arrested?

A day never to be forgotten. A family member at jakande estate, Isolo had a wedding the Saturday 26th which attracted a lot of our family members from far and wide. On the fateful Sunday my sister took our grandma to my aunt's place at ketu after which she came back in the afternoon for us to take our leave cos we were going to school the next day. we had two options as to the route to follow home, either to follow oshodi or ikotun while going to iyana ipaja.

Fortunately for us we took the best decision of taking ikotun which is the reason my sister and I are still breathing today. We were almost at ikotun when the whole place started trembling. The agberos didn't help matters with a lot of rumours being spread some of which includes the world is coming to an end, there is an armed invasion of Lagos etc. We were so puzzled we don't know whether to continue our journey home to meet our pupsy and my other sister or go back to isolo and be with our mumsy whom we left behind at isolo and know will be really worried.
We took opted for the latter, got back to Isolo met our mumsy who was almost weeping for the loss of two kids in one night. We couldn't really sleep overnight eight due to anxiety, surprise or being too shocked to imagine how we escaped the Oshodi route by chance. The next day we read about people who died at the oke-afa bridge not quite far from the jakande estate,Isolo. Perhaps we would have joined in jumping into the swamp in the name of running from the blast from the oshodi axis

I remember that particular evening,we were coming from house fellowship that evening totally unaware of the source of the bombings.Everyone was scared that we even thought the end of the world had finally come.People were terrified and scared in my hood and parents had all their kids and wards inside. It is widely believed Obasanjo was the target. He was on an official visit to Lagos and that cantonment. The bombings started after ebora owu left probably he knew evil was nearby as baba himself na strong man.May the departed souls find rest.

May their souls rest in peace

I remember very well . My house was shaking from the foundation even though i stay far from Ikeja (imagine those who were in Ikeja the tremor on the ground sad sad sad ) .... everyone on the street came out so frightened .

Nobody knew for an hour what the problem was , no info either on the radio , no Mobile phone either .... . At first we thought Nigeria was at war or the world was coming to an end
