I had the opportunity to be amongst the first black graduates on their interview process. 4 blacks amongst 44 whites, from an initial pool of over 18,000 applications. Spent a couple of days in hotel in Amsterdam- one of my most rigorous interview process ever.

Was offered an opportunity with them, but declined, as I got something else, elsewhere.

Do apply. You never can say what would happen once you pass the initial online test (if it is still done online, that is!).

About the international language thing... Is it much of a criterion for selection? And also about the 6 months international requirement.

It is. They wanted those who spoke at least three languages— which they easily found in many whites. Some friends I had were polyglots, speaking up to 7 languages!

I speak two international languages fluently, and a third at an intermediate level.

They will test people in it. I'm not sure if this is still a strict requirement, though. Still do apply.

Ideally, yes. The eventual IGP candidate will be working across a multi-layer of cultures, across his/her known national borders. The experience is invaluable and not what one may necessarily get if you work principally in Nigeria.

If you have done volunteer placements outside Nigeria or currently/have worked in an organisation where you have had to interact with nationalities, this opportunity will count in your stead.
