'This life is fucking cruel  why don't you just stay in dubai and never come home you were happy coming home with a smile on your face now you no more God what as we youth don wrong Ya Allah forgive us opeyemi olabamiji my dubai connect, i was shocked of ur death... I wish you aljanah fidua'.

This is a more common occurrence than most people realise.

Three theories I have is that:

1) They suffer Deep Vein Thrombosis or blood-clot in their leg due to inactivity of legs during long flights.

2) They are poisoned by family and or friends, perhaps they have been sending money for them to build a house and the friend or family member had been chopping the money all the while.

3) This third theory applies to those who are forcefully deported back to Nigeria, some times the deporting countries injects the deportee with powerful sedatives and these drugs could lead to death within hours or days of arriving back home. Some unscrupulous countries may even intentionally inject them knowing that they would be dead within hours or days so that that they do not return to that country.

My advice to everyone living outside their state, particularly the young ones.

Any time you want to visit home, inform only your parents. Don't even let your best friends know.

If they see you and enquire when you will travel back, tell them a week after the date you intend to travel back. Eg if you intend to go back on Jan 4, tell you will travel January 11.

If you have a project, like building project, limit the places you go to in your village.
The easiest way you can be taken out in the village is through poisoning.

As for me, nothing enters my mouth outside my home in the village.

That why it always good to give The Flying Eagles of Benin there monthly sacrifice. Situations like this would have been averted.
