Let's be careful how we drop phone numbers and email addresses on a public forum as this. Best way to contact one another is via pm so you are sure the only person who has access yo your personal info is the intended.

I see many partners now offer their cars on rental for N40,000 per week and drivers are requesting they should be considerate and more reasonable to beat N40,000 down, perhaps to N35,000 or N30,000. I am interested in seeing how partners make profit on N40,000 rental not to talk of N35,000 or N30,000. Are there partners here on N40,000 or below who will not mind sharing a breakdown of how it makes sense at the end of the day and he makes profits?

there is profit but it all boils down to the driver management and the car tolerance quality. I drove a corolla for months and i never visited the mechanic except for servicing which insisted my partner do every month. hence he had his weekly returns of 40k every week with only 10k spent on servicing monthly and changed tyres twice, tokumbo, not new. until car got impounded by customs for import duty issues. switched partners to a kia rio. my assessment, best car wen it comes to fuel management, overall, worst car for uber, engine amd components not durable. had issues with the AC so frequently, too low to the ground, and if u drive around lekki and its waterlogged environment, the compressor gets spoilt by the water. kept fixing that every month till I dropped it december.
summary, if ur driver is good and ur car is in good condition, u make profit. to minimise repairs frequency he should stay outta lekki and ajah areas especially when it rains.

expenditures(with good driver n car)
servicing; 10k monthly =120k
tyres: 20k *4 yearly = 80k
respray; 60k+ yearly = 60k
shocks: 150k+ 1year depends on ur car model and ur drivers
miscellenous = 5k mthly

profit calculation.
income: 40k *52 weeks = 2,080,000
expenditure; 120+80+60+150+60= 470,000

profit =N1,610,000

if I missed amything, anyone pls indicate
best advice: do drive to own aka hire purchase. has zero losses.

Lekki Ajah axis is good for business but to be honest the flood on that axis can be terrible ( flooding happens everywhere though).

I had a nasty experience last year around Badore. The Uber client called and described her house. I kept driving through flood. I felt like I was driving a boat.

At a point I had to stop . called her and begged. I then insisted that I couldn't continue anymore.

At the end of the day just be wise and use ur number 6

Paris is a big city that is served by over 18,000 taxis. This, however, does not make it easier to get the services of a taxi. The business is run by strict organizations and with strict rules from both the companies and the state police department. You can rely on the services of Taxi in Paris to get reputable taxi services around Paris.

TIN Number is mostly for companies (for which you will need to go to FIRS)

while Payer ID is for individuals (and can be obtained from either LIRS or any participating bank - UBA, Wema, Access, Zenith)

It is important you let them know if you have worked in Lagos before. Your name and payer ID might already be on the system. If it isn't, the LIRS or bank staff should guide you on what steps to take.

I'd suggest you go through the bank though. Some of those LIRS staff might wanna exploit you.

Tips for saving cost while driving on Uber : When driving on Uber, the little things really do matter, you want to save as much as possible on costs while simultaneously increasing your earnings, this post is dedicated to showing you the little things that make a difference.
When a driver receives a new request, the first thing he should do is call the rider, not go ahead and drive to the location of the request. This is for a myriad of reasons, first, riders sometimes move their pins to a different location from where their requests are initiated, this is because a rider might not find available cats where they are, so they have to move their pins to where there are available cars. Another reason is riders sometimes move their pins to avoid surge pricing. Another reason you should call first is that the rider might be requesting the Uber for someone else, who is in a different location. Sometimes the GPS can also send you to a wrong location, I've had this happen to me more often than Ube would like to admit. Calling the rider first takes care of all of this, instead of driving all the way to the rider's supposed GPS location only to find out that is not where the ride is needed can cause either the rider or the driver to cancel, that is money lost for money not even earned. And the driver might not get cancellation fees, since you might not be within a 5 minute distance to the rider ( this is the time window the driver must be in in order to be eligible for the cancellation fee). There are other reasons, but by now I'm sure you get the point, the moral of the story is; make sure to call first.
Another tip is, the air conditioner doesn't have to be on full blast all the time, just cool enough that the cabin of the car is comfortable. Do not put the AC on full blast unless you notice your rider is uncomfortable or maybe if they are wearing a suit, or clothing that usually causes heat. Direct the AC vents at the rider, this will create the illusion that the AC is cooler than it really is since it is blowing directly at them. Use your discretion but always make sure to ask if the rider is comfortable.
Make sure your driver is conversant with the city, this reduces the amount of fuel burnt due to wrong turns and longer routes, it also makes the riders happy. Riders are inherently suspicious of drivers who take wrong turns and don't seem to know where they are going, asides that, they think you are trying to increase the trip length so as to charge more. Besides you do not want to get your rider lost or late for a meeting.
Uber uses quite a large amount of data, as it stands, the cost of data is quite high considering the state of the economy at this time, it is advisable to get your driver an affordable as well as efficient subscription, such as the Globacom data subscription, at the moment it seems to be the most competitive data bundle in Nigeria. Otherwise you would spend a lot on data. I would advise to use a dual sim phone for Uber with an Etisalat as the back-up option in case your driver is in an area with limited glo coverage.
Maintain your vehicle properly to make sure the engine is as efficient as possible, check your tyre pressure regularly.
Get a total card for fuel ( I've heard it is not the easiest thing in the world to get) but try. This is so that your driver doesn't inflate fuel costs, i.e. buy 2,500 naira fuel and then come back to tell you they bought 3000.
Another thing is, do not drive around looking for trip requests, they will find you. Sometimes however, it is absolutely necessary to drive from an area with generally low requests, such as satellite towns ( for instance, you most likely would not get trips in gwagwalada as much as you would get in Wuse). Also, there are sometimes when you are in area with high supply in the immediate area ( e.g you are in area with a lot of Ubers, so when trips enter they might go to better rated drivers than you), in that situition, you may want to move a shot dI stance away so that trip requestrian can find you more easily. If these situations come up and you absolutely have to move, drive slow with your AC off and your windows down, all four windows (to reduce drag, the optimum thing is to have all windows up but then the health implications are also there to consider). In fact, even when you have riders in your car, it is still advisable to drive slow unless the rider demands otherwise (not so slow though that you annoy the rider) and also avoid down-kicking ( pressing hard and suddenly on the accelerator) this forces a lot of petrol into the combustion chamber which then burns the petrol out very quickly. Remember to turn the AC back on as you are approaching the rider's location so you can have a cool comfortable cabin by the time you pick up the rider.
I am sure there are other cost-cutting measures you can apply for driving on Uber, if you know of one that isn't mentioned, please feel free to add.
Have a nice day, Cheers.

Hello guys and gurus in the house. I ve done a brief reading through this thread to learn some important things. I have a hyundai accent 2015 model, it was bought brand new and is hardly driven, lile once in a week or two weeks. I ve also learnt that hyundai cars are not very ruggen in the road. I want to put the car for uber drive where i will simply be remitted money per week.
@ TokyoBulls
I read where you said you offer such service. i also want to avoid all the driving verification, licence, rating and other wahalas, so i.simply want to make an agreement where you will provide the driver and do the neccessary arrangements and I will be remitted per week.
Since hyundai isnt as rugged as other brands and I wont want over stressing the car, the remittance will be at a little reduced amount than what is typically demanded so as to ensure and guarantee that the car isnt worked out beyond its safe limit.
Please I need feedbacks, sugestions and opinions.

In businesses such as this, it all boils down to keeping to agreements. I may be averse to alot of TokyoBulls methods but if he has people who have read and understood the agreement then what's my own...whatever rocks their boats. I believe finding the right driver from the standpoint of the partner, is the same with finding the right partner from the standpoint of the driver. It is not all the drivers that are bad just as it is not all the partners that are good and wonderful.

I have just recently joined uber and I am looking for a reasonable partner on rental basis whose vehicle I would treat like my own.

P.s: I don't need any partner whose vehicle he would shutdown at 11:00pm with the possibility of leaving me stranded on the road thereby converting my driver duties to maiguard duties.

Thank you, pls quote if you have an offer.
