Tips for Zitkites and Katangites.

1. To avoid porters wahala, go for Block B or C.

2. For ease to carry water, go for 16-34(First Floor) or 35-57(Second Floor)

3. To avoid the Toilets, 12-7, 9-15, 16-19, 22-28, 32-34, Second Floor and Last Flor mostly has good toilets on a normal day.

4. To fully enjoy and participate in Aroo, B and C Blocks are your sure bets

This tread reminded me of those awaiting days for admission and later to hostel procurement. The stress of securing nice room was so tedious then because majority of us didn't have someone to help us with it, especially those of us living outside Ibadan. In case there's any help you guys need pertaining to your registration or accommodation you can ask if I'll be opportuned to be of help.

Can someone just share things to expect as a katangites,such as
1) no of occupants of a room
2)best block nd room for freshers
3) if hot plate are allowed
4) how stable its electricity and its surrroundings
5) info abt it common room,free data,sports activities,groups to join etc
6) wat to expect in various rooms
7) faculty(ies) close to it nd ones far from it
cool and other things a fresher need to know.

Ans to ur questions
1) 4 students per room in indy and zik(expect squatting ooo) and dont be too harsh on them.
2)Block A
3)YES and u make use of it in the kitchenet
4)kuti, bello and mellanby dey always get light. if u are in indy, zik, idia oyo lo wa.Awo hall is the worst.
5)ui hall common rooms are cool u will surely enjoy it. my advice is that u shuld rather visit reading rooms more frequently
6)Bro wen u get into ur room
7)Faculty of Tech and faculty of science.
coolA lot of tinz to tell but most importantly bro pls read ur books very well.

Yes, every student must be assigned to a hostel. But you can only get a bed bed space(a room) in the assigned hostel when you apply for it and subsequently pay for accommodation. Assigning hostels as they've done doesn't guarantee accommodation

hello every please a stalite should please highlight what to expect in zik hall.... 1..are we allowed to use electric cooker 2..how many student per room 3..the most comfortable block/room 4..stability of electricity/how many hours of electricity per day 5..the water aspect 6..departments that dominates the hall 7..security 8..at least 5 places close to the hall 9..wifi availability and durability 10..pix of how the rooms look like 11..the kind/size of bed 12..sport facility 13..any room facility aside from bed 14..co curricular activities 15..any reading room the questions are endless...please some zikites should do good by responding.

I can't seem to login in with my matric no and password on the portal. It keeps saying invalid user or password.

It is a general issue with freshmen, I think. I am also experiencing thesame thing.

Since you can login with your UTME number to view your hostel and matriculation number, you needn't to worry about anything.

Yes please. Whenever I input my matriculation number and password, I get a response that "Your username or password is invalid".

You mean somebody told you he/she has done all that as a fresh student in UI?

That is not true. Always visit the school website (www.ui.edu.ng) for latest information about admission and the rest please.
