From BP's energy outlook of 2017.

Q. Where do you see Nigeria LNG in 2035?

In 18 years, we should hope that the current T1-T6 capacity would have been expanded to include at least T7+ and possibly additional trains. The only answer to the tight market is a volume based response and possibly a shift in strategy to accommodate buyers who would be looking away from the traditional long term contracts of 20-22 years to shorter and more flexible arrangements.

That's just one scenario.

CheGueveraMx9:
thegreengooner, I'm guessing you are who I think you are. Any updates on this recruitment? Any certainty it will come to a successful completion soon?

To be fair it looks worse than it really is. I think it will end pretty soon.

In my own view, the people who were recruited are not necessarily the same people anymore. People change and may or may not have moved on with their lives. I know of only one factor that will sway opinion in the event that a successful candidate had given up on accepting a firm employment offer when received.

[quote author=qwerty123qwerty post=53254386]NLNG makes me sad by the day... Took some decisions last year based on the assumption that if it's too late, resumption would be in December, 2016.. But here we are in February, 2017... I think another "highest assurances" mail

Same here...I pray about this every single day.
I just wish the offer letters will roll in, its really been a long and tough wait.

As for me, i dont want another highest assurance mail, all i want right now is the offer letter. Shikena

Let's handle it like this.

Think about the beginning.

Rumour has it that about 60,000 applied in 2013 for this recruitment

Miss Rumour said about 18000 wrote the test.

She said about 7000 took the SHL and about 840 had the AC.

She said 70 were medicalled and 140 or less wait listed.

Let us assume that we are 200(including wait listed) left.

As we head towards the glorious end of this recruitment, let's not forget the heroes that bowed out. Let's not forget that they moved on with some being more thankful to God than we are now. We shouldn't forget that God does not abandon His people except in few occasions when they become unbearable. NLNG has not done well in this recruitment. I am sure it is not on purpose. In fact, it can't be on purpose. Someone is arm twisting someone somewhere but we pray that that arm be let loose to get to work. Our arms/hands need to get to work in Bonny or PH. Let's be patient. It's 2:15AM Good morning Ladies and Gents!

Thanks @sexyjob..great job you are doing here. I recommend that you should be posted to HR section.Loool.

Today, i opened my email and read all the correspondences from NLNG from the time of invite to the waec test up till the highest assurances mail and i just had this nostalgic feeling, trust me, we have really been through a lot already and God has helped us scale soooooo many hurdles. This is going to end in praise by his grace. AMEN!!!

This trend is a reflection of life: starts with so many uncertainties. meeting new people with common interest, finding peace and joy in sharing love and worries with each other thereafter gives one a sense of hope. Sometimes we get on each other's nerves, but often find ways to resolve our differences. Life's full of hopes, dispair, uncertainties, and more hopes. However they all eventually fade into memories, giving room for more hopes, despair and uncertainties. The joy, sadness, and sometimes even promises and resolve that you will hold on, you will always be there no matter what, fade along. Suddenly what seemed to matter so much matters no more. And what seemed to matter less becomes the center of your existence. Such is life. A lesson everyone should learn from. It teaches us to realize what's important to us and to, no matter how life treats us, never forget and take them for granted. Good morning, folks.

Kindly note this does not in any way indicate an obligation for offer of employment.

NLNG does not have any obligation to give anybody employment. They have made that clear in all their correspondence.... Just thought I should point that out to everyone...

I think it will be delivered electronically. This is 2017 not 2007. After the mails, calls might follow. Some persons will just look at the mail and temporarily move it to Spam then return it when the eyes have gone clear. Keep hope alive people. We are closer than you think. Every bit of the wait would be worth it. We are approaching the bright end of the long tunnel. Prepare for the light, don't get blinded by it.

Having been a silent reader on this thread since inception, gone through the tupsy turvy ride on hopes, beliefs, faith, prayers et al. Gotta say this is getting pretry much ludicrous. Probably would(if ever concluded) be the most painstaking recruitment ever. Got some info sometime late last year, not necessarily about when the recruitment ends but about the circumstances to which the exercise still lingers. They may probably be hearsays hence i write them in rhetorics:

Did you know that the No1 citizen of the country has a daughter in this organisation?. Rumor has it she was moved due to the insecurity in the south south.
Did you know that contract staff in the organisation that ought to have been converted are still pending?
Did you know that the organisation are so dire in need of staff that they reduced the no of those called for medicals to a particular discipline only to be halted by the 'power that be'?
Did you know that the organisation may just have been ridden with Nepotism and palpable bureacracy?
Did you know that those in waiting(by merit) for recruitment may not necessarily be those that will be eventually recruited?

Well, these were some of the open-ended questions that are begging for answers.

At the end, what will be will be.

Shalom

In a couple of days, we will all get the closure we desire. It will come so fast that some people will not comprehend it. Lives will be changed. There will be multiple testimonies. Stay positive even if you have to stay so till the end of the world. It pays!
