iamedwin: Ok. If that is the case, you can go ahead but don't wait till they reject it before you set on motion a new application; otherwise the end will not justify the means. Ofcourse yes, you will be spending about 20k extra. Shalom |

Good evening everyone. please is it possible for someone to fund his block account using moneygram or western union. Form A made me miss my admission last winter, so i want to start funding on time, but the black market is still out of my reach. So, I'll use western union if it's possible to fund through that means. Has anyone ever funded his or her account installmentally using western union or any other money transfer service. Thanks. |

Hello everyone. I discovered Nigerian Scholarships are not recognised at the German Embassy. I have one but cannot use it. Please can anyone help with a link on the requirement and how to apply with "official declaration of sponship" Verpflichtungserklarung. Thank you |

aofrank:You can apply for the school's when in Germany but you most certainly must come back to Nigeria for your interviews and the general visa processing because you can't convert from visit to student visa just because you got an admission while in Germany. |

ozyomar1:You will need someone living in Germany with a good income to do that for you. However, if the value of your scholarship is equivalent to that of the required sum for studying in Germany, then I would advice may be you can get a loan or something based on it or you could get the total sum upfront from your scholarship. |

un48table:If black market is out of your reach, I wonder how Western Union will be a cheaper means? Try the 'bluemarket' through trusted means may be. michV:proof under what? Your question is ambiguous. If your question is what I am thinking, then you probably need to read the first few pages of the thread to get your foundation well grounded. |

Hello |
Re: General German Visa Enquiries Part 3 by Mille: 1:01pm On Feb 01, 2017 |
un48table: You would need someone you really trust in Germany or elsewhere in Europe to help you with that and multiple account holders of the particular bank you intend to use and let me say, bank connections. I also tried the black and blue market but the rates quoted, even by sellers on nairaland was too much and there was the risk of someone running away with my money. Skye bank currently allows moneygram transfer and I have used it since December to receive a total of about €5000 from Nigeria. And the last rate was about 400 to 1€ minus charges. Here is how it's done. First, You are only allowed to use your account once in 3months for a total of about N380k. So therefore, if you are sending much money, you will need multiple account holders with the bank who will allow you to use their slots. I have used about 7. Secondly, you will need someone or people YOU REALLY TRUST in Germany or elsewhere to help you take the money from Money gram's office and deposit into your account. This is because I doubt the bank will send multiple transfers to a bank account (You can try though). Lastly, a branch is only allowed two transactions per day and of course there are backlogs. This is where the connections come in. I didn't have connections though, all mom did was to make sure she begged at the bank and told them how important the transfers are and basically I received in 3-5 working days. If you are Ok with the stress and the procedures involved, I would really recommend it. It is faster than Form A or dorm transfer and will save you about 1 million if you were to use the blue or black market rates. Cheers. 2 Likes |

Abeg has anyone applied for Degree course through uni assist with NECO, EILTS, N.D(upper credit)? Please does German university accept NECO? |
Re: General German Visa Enquiries Part 3 by honourableseyi: 11:53pm On Feb 01, 2017 |
iamedwin: You will have to first send block account application through embassy; the slip given to you is what you will use to book for visa interview. You can do both on the same day but not at the same time; it is one first followed by the 2nd step. Meanwhile, if you open an account db, it takes them 3-4 weeks depending on DB (might be longer); so if after 4 weeks you were denied, you will have to send another application again which might take the same duration before they answer you provided everything is intact. So it might still waste the time you are trying to conserve. Shalom |

SooCute: German universities accept NECO. Read up, you will see where I have said one or two things about it. As for your ND, it is no, no and no. Shalom |

SooCute:NECO is acceptable. I have never heard contrary. However, what do you mean by ND? Is it OND or HND? I get confused by this sometimes. If you meant OND, then that's not equivalent to a university entrance qualification degree in Germany, oddly so. |

honourableseyi:Oh! Great then, thanks for the correction. I am getting old. I guess it must be difficult right? The reverse is the case here when you are sending to Naija, you get less value sending back home with Western Union. |
Re: General German Visa Enquiries Part 3 by iamedwin: 6:04am On Feb 02, 2017 |
honourableseyi: I have done the opening already. Remember the statement I talked about, and you said I may be rejected because of the balance? I went ahead to use it because I was already in Lagos and need the slip I'd get to book for Visa interview. Now I am thinking of booking for visa interview and resending another application for bank account before the anticipated bank rejection comes in. Wonder if anyone has done stuff like this before. |
