i came across a few kids in my neighborhood,i have heard of such things happening but i didn't believe it until i saw it with my own eyes,thin,hungry looking children who couldn't be more than 8 years old individually were scrapping through trash trying to find something to eat,it literally broke my heart,these kids are called almajiris and they are sent away from their homes to devote their lives to learning ,practising and teaching islam. Unfortunately,things don't usually go the path they are meant to so most of them end up at this point,scrapping through trash searching for food. On many mornings i was woken up by their cries of hunger,begging for food,they have never begged for a place to stay or for shoes to cover their feet,they only beg for food ,yet people ignore their cries,their hungry sad cries for food,i give whenever i have but they keep coming back,because it almost seems am the only one who is giving.
I seriously think this logic of sending children out to go fend for themselves in the name of devoting life to Allah is barbaric because its not done in the right way,i cant stop the almajiri logic of most people but i can help and i beg you to help too.

Almajiri is not the matter of hunger or learning.

Its a pure greed from their parent. They purposely send their kids from villages down the city all in the name of seeking Islamic knowledge, with no concern about the health and physical nature of their children.

But during the raining seasons, they will call these children back home to farm 4dem. After cultivation they drive them back to Almajiranci and eat the food alone.
