Chelsea 3-0 Arsenal : Neville Slams Sanchez – Even Iwobi Did More Than Him
Former Manchester United defender Gary Neville has slammed the

Former Manchester United defender Gary Neville has slammed the performance of Arsenal’s talisman Alexis Sanchez in their 1-3 loss to Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.

Arsenal saw their title hope go up in flames at Stamford Bridge with Mikel Alonso, Eden Hazard and Cesc Fabregas scoring for the Blues before Olivier Giroud scored a consolation goal for the Gunners.

Neville while analysing the game on skysports was critical of Arsenal’s sloppiness, but particularly hit out at the poor performance of Alexis Sanchez.

” You have to look at him as one of the players the others depend on in games like this. He was very poor and gave away the ball countless times. Even Alex Iwobi did more than him”, Neville said.

He went further to criticise Arsenal’s midfield trio consisting of Iwobi, Mesut Ozil and Alex Oxlade Chamberlain following the second half substitution of Francis Coquelin.

” Let me just throw this midfield at you, Oxlade Chamberlain, Iwobi and Ozil against Chelsea. I mean?, Who else does that? Only Arsenal and they paid for it”.

AZ Alkmaar Fred Friday Ends Goal Drought In Style With Brace Against PSV In Six Goal Thriller

AZ Alkmaar summer signing Fred Friday finally got off the mark in the Dutch Eredivisie with a brace for his team in their 2-4 loss to PSV Eindhoven.

Since moving to the Dutch League, the 21 year old who was the goal king in Norway while at Lillestroem has struggled to match the form that made AZ splash €1.5M on him.

However against PSV, he was handed a rare start and he proved the manager right by reducing the deficit for his team in the 17th minute after Jethro Willems brace put PSV two goals ahead.

Although his team failed to claw their way back into the game, the Nigerian was on hand to score a late consolation for his team five minutes from full time, who were reduced to 10 men following the sending off of Stijn Wuytens.

The brace by Fred means he has now scored in all competitions for AZ, as he previous found the back of the net in the Europa League and the Dutch Cup, with four goals to his name as well for AZ II.

Na wa for you. I posted different quotes and links of Guardiola stating Gabriel Jesus will play as a wing forward for City. It was not me saying. It was the words of Guardiola.

I also do not think a winter transfer window is in the best interest of Iheanacho. I do not think five to six months is enough to adapt to the training routines and lifestyle Guardiola teaches.

I say Iheanacho works with Guardiola until the end of the season and then move on. Game time was never my main target of wanting Iheanacho to work with Guardiola.

Seriously I am very upset our own Iheanacho couldn't make the Team List back to back because of GJ!

I was believing in your submissions until recently. Iheanacho not even making City Bench, that's disgusting?!

I really don't care of Nolito and Navas ain't making the Team, coz they've already passed their peak.

If Iheanacho had secured a Loan move to Swansea or Hull City, he would definitely be playing week in week out! He needs to play to develop, training alone can't make him a better Player!

"It is important for us as a club and for Saido to get on with what we have to do and continue to work hard to get Saido back to the level he is capable of, and the only way to do that is to get him back playing games.

"People might have questioned whether it was worth getting him involved at all today, but he needs games."

- Mark Hughes

Players need Games to get fitter and better!

Nigeria, Netherlands Set For Battle Over NEC Rising Star Arnaut Danjuma Groeneveld

Few weeks after coach of Nigeria Gernot Rohr confirmed that Dutch-Nigerian full back Tyroone Ebuehi will play for Nigeria, another battle over Arnaut Danjuma Groenveld could happen in the future.

20 year old Groenveld was born in Lagos Nigeria but has spent the best part of his life in the Netherlands where he began his football career.

He was on the books of giants PSV Eindhoven starring regularly for their U-19s but didn’t make the grade to the first team before he was loaned out to Jong PSV.

Groeneveld wasn’t offered fresh terms by PSV, and NEC Nijmegen were quick to swoop in for the midfielder who is comfortable playing on the either flanks or as the main striker.

At international level he is yet to be capped by either Nigeria or Netherlands, but judging by his progress at NEC this season where he has made four appearances, it is now a case of when both nations will slug it out for his international future not if.

who watched iwobi played defensive midfield today later in the game against Chelsea

dude got a bright future behind him...vasatility is top Notch...dude can play anything midfield..and lwf or rwf..

who knows how he would fare at false 9?

Iwobi i think played as an attacking midfielder in the second half not defensive midfielder. If there is anything iwobi is very poor at, it is interception & marking. He just suck at tackling and intercepting passes. So Wenger will never deploy him there. Go watch again.

Rohr Breaks Silence Over Ighalo’s Future With Super Eagles Following Move To China

Gernot Rohr has spoken out about the international future of Odion Ighalo who recently left English Premier League side Watford for Chinese side Changchun Yatai.

Rohr is known to be very strict with players when it comes to national team assignment preferring them to play in European league.

The Franco-German coach once said he would have preferred John Obi Mikel, the captain of the Super Eagles to remain in Europe than move to Tiajin Teda of China.

However he confirmed few days ago that he will visit the captain to find out how is faring later in the month, a sign of his approval over his transfer.

As for Ighalo the coach who has won all three games as coach of Nigeria was clear in his international future by openly declaring that Ighalo is still in his plans.

” He wasn’t getting games at Watford, In China he will play and be match fit aside the chance to earn more for himself and his family. We understand his dilemma, so he is very much in our plans”, Rohr told Owngoalnigeria.com contact in Gabon.

Cameroon Coach : Liverpool Star Matip Will Be Called Up For WCQ Vs Nigeria If....

Cameroon national team coach Hugo Broos has hinted that Liverpool star Joel Matip will be called up for the World Cup qualifier against Nigeria if he rescinds his decision to retire from the Indomitable Lions.

The German-born central defender was initially included on the provisional roster for the 2017 African Cup of Nations but pulled out of the squad, citing bad experience with previous staff.

Without Matip, Allan Nyom (Watford) and Eric Choupo-Moting (Schalke 04), Cameroon qualified for the showpiece game in Gabon.

“They still have a future, but the decision is now with them. I will not phone them and ask them if they will come,” Broos said.

“They have to phone me to say “I’m ready to play for Cameroon”. And not only for one game. Because when they come, they stay.

“ It’s not today I come and the next they go. So it’s they come for it all or they are definitely not coming.”

Nigeria will face Cameroon in their next fixture in the World Cup qualifiers in August 2017.

Reports indicate that Iheanacho is not on the bench again in Manchester City vs Swansea match.

<<<Runs and bangs my head on the wall.>>>
Do not run and bang your head on d wall,it's part of d game d boy should just brace up for d challenges ahead and try to convince Pep in training or what do u think coz no option till end of d season.

Nacho needs to sort out his future at d end of d season. He need to move on if Pep doesn't considered him as it now.My major concern now is our national team which Nacho is integral part, definitely it w have an effect but it is left for him to raise up his game anytime in national colour.I know Rohr w not be happy at d moment and Nacho too w not be happy at d development.

I don't want to go into training aspect coz no player w be happy sitting on d bench or not even making match day squad and be happy enjoy d training and d drilling in d guise of working with a great coach.

Honestly have realized that Pep has a philosophy that thegoodjoe always talks about coz he said Aguero doesn't fit into Pep philosophy which i disagreed but with Aguero dropping to d bench then truly he doesn't fit in.

It seems all this while Pep was waiting for Nacho to prove a point in d absence of Aguero, but he failed to impress impatient Guardiola, this prompted Pep to continue using Aguero until arrival of Gabriel Jesus.
The arrival of Gabriel Jesus has put Aguero on d bench and Nacho out of d match day squad.

This. Iheanacho Simply failed to Impress Pep. Remember the Match against Man U in the Fa cup when i said he was Poor, the Goodjoe was Saying he had a 9/10 Performance.

Most People Are Blaming Pep and GJ but nacho should be the One taking the blame because he didn't Impress Pep when he was Given the Opportunity, For Pep strikers are More than Goals that's where GJ is everything Nacho Isn't. He is an Ideal Pep striker.

Give it four years and City will be back with a ridiculous amount once he's the finished product. I hope he turns them down for Liverpool then grin

I take it this is from your own biased point of view undecided

Considering you live and work with most of these England boys in England, I doubt you're in an impartial position to tell us which country has a pool of talents as against the other.

Let Rohr go and meet the boys he can convince. Last last, if he speaks to them in German he can probably get to them faster, no be all these innit boys that will tell you they'll get back to you after they've exhausted their chances of playing for Queen and Country

To speak from a position of experiential knowledge, is objectivity to stand on academic and professional certification is substantiation.

To make deductions particularly from a negative assumption basis that emanates from very limited self experience is what being biased is all about. Indeed this is what racism really is mostly unconscious negative presumption.

SIMPLE COMMON SENSE MATHEMATICS - The probability factor is self evident larger pool more talent. It's not rocket science, if you have much more players you will have much more prospective talents.

That ratio of Nigerian origin football players within the professional English league comparative to Germany could easily be 60/70-1 probably much more.

I have been to at least 70% of EPL academies and I would say I am yet to find one without a Nigerian origin player. When you come to the current championship there are some academies I rate higher than a number of EPL academies for instance Fulham and Reading, Add to that Charlton and MK Dons in league 1. Gomez at Liverpool came from Charlton straight to premiership so as a talent pool it cannot be overlooked.

I gave people an insight into the circumstances of Dele Alli so that we could be sensitive to the plight of some Nigerian origin players failed woefully by thier parents.

To make the assumption that they all want to play for the Queen. I talk to a lot of Nigerian players and first choice particularly for those with strong and stable parental relationships, is to play for Nigeria. That's an insult to Nigerian players and smacks of outright prejudice and discrimination.

However, what you fail to realise or refuse to accept is the level of who know man and agent NFF manipulation that causes a lot of players to be put off. We are Nigerians we know once money is involved all sorts of under hand maneuvering starts to come forward. Again like age cheating we like to pretend it's not rampant just the odd case.( well at least some of us)

No doubt, Nacho Has all the Talents to be a Top Striker. His Case Might Be like Lukaku's(IMO Nacho has a better Ceiling tho) if he Moves to a smaller team.

But seeing as he rejected the Chance the move to Porto for City, I don't think he will make Make the Jump Next Season.

Don't be suprise that Gab will still retain his spot even if he goes 3-matches without scoring-it's a fact will all need to accept.

All final balls must be given to him cos he is city's new SAVIOUR n no one does it better than him.

Firstly. the Bundesliga is not on the same level as the premiership. The EPL is widely recognised as the best league in the World. My view is that it is a toss up between La Liga and the EPL.

Dele Alli was playing at MK Dons in league 1 but was clearly an outstanding talent. However, his Father remarried left to the USA and Dele's alcoholic mother ended up loosing her son to social services care order. Dele like an orphan with no parents ended up in care. His Father failed him woefully. You can understand why he refused to play for Nigeria.

Ademola Lookman is a very good players barely three years ago he was not even playing professional football. Just essentially Sunday amateur league before he was signed by Charlton after 25 games and 6 goals. He was marketed very successfully by his agents Base soccer.

You should check my past posts on this subject and I highlight a number of Nigerian players in England. I will tell you every EPL academy has a number of Nigerian players.

Some have up to 20 players across all age levels. I will explain to you why some are not playing first team regularly as we progress.Or indeed others may explain better than I can.

Let me agree that the Premier League is better.

Now, I want to know, is Premier League better than Bundusliga when it comes to producing talents?

Since, you know about Dele Alli and Ademola-lookman then why are you against Rohr scouting for potential talents irrespective of where they play?

Abi na only Premier-league dey produce talents? grin

This is a very hard question to answer.

In my experience the word. OPPORTUNITY is the definitive thing that will determine greatness and can I add of all things the. GRACE OF GOD.

Is Ademola the best young winger in league 1 and or the championship. I don't think so, if Ademola was at Liverpool Academy would he be the stand out player. But he got the opportunity with very good packaging.

In general the EPL is higher than the Bundesliga and there are too many Nigerian boys playing and making waves at thier clubs.

You know you will count the number of Black boys very easily across the German leagues. They are not many so they easily stand out.

My query is that Rohr is taking the easy way out, the German leagues are his comfort zone. By rational probability just by sheer numbers there really should be a lot more boys from England being considered.

Consider this small boy see link below

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-3879150/Liverpool-sign-15-year-old-man-mountain-Emeka-Obi-fighting-competition-Stoke-starlet.html

There are too many too mention, that's why I say it seems that English boys are being overlooked by Rohr. Outside of Nigeria the place with the highest number of potential top players of Nigerian origin is the UK.

I do believe there are potential talents in Germany but without doubt there are way much much more in the UK.

Very nice and interesting games today.

Gabriel Jesus
Today, I got to see why Guardiola feels obsessed about the young player. One word. Stamina. That young man ran a marathon for the Cityzens against Swansea and it was interesting watching him do his stuff.

Compared to Iheanacho
As a finisher, I do not think he is as good as Iheanacho. He wasted some chances today that shows he is not exceptional in that aspect. That can come with time and more shooting drills. He does not play with as much intensity as Iheanacho.

What Gabriel showed today was consistency. He has a peak rate he works with and maintained it through out today. Another thing where he clearly trumps Iheanacho is fluidity. He covers a larger area of the field than Nacho, works with the team at a high frequency to win the ball and build-up plays.

Advice to Iheanacho
Our Young man needs to work himself on the training pitch to increase his stamina. If he achieves this and with his scoring ability, he can go nuclear in his career. This is not just about the goals. Gabriel Jesus might have scored the two goals or not. What matters was his mind blowing stamina and the work rate he put into the team. I do not see Iheanacho able to do that the way Gabriel did but I believe he can achieve it with hard work.

Lesson
Gabriel Jesus showed that you do not need to have the most exceptional ability to shine. As long as you maintain consistency in your hard work, the blessings will come.

I am also of the opinion that Iheanacho leaves City but before Guardiola came, I believed Guardiola's intense training methods will make Iheanacho a better player.

Finally, you see what I saw cheesy
