The history give by this poster is basically lies to the highest order. Ilajo family is not and has never be the only family in Oweland that have right to the throne of Obaro... Neither do any other clan automatically claim any of the the 3 Ololu's in Oweland.

The 3 hunters who follow their father for hunting stop over in Aiyere now in Ijumu LGA of Kogi State. Stop over in Aiyere to rest while their father decided to stay and settle down the 3 son's refused and decided to continue their hunting ahead.

On getting to Katu of today they make a hut where they rest and open there loads... After which they plan to settle down. But the second one aggred to move to Okeaba of Kabba today while the last one aggred to move back to odoilu.. Odolu of today..... The 3 hunters are from the same parent.

They are all entitle to the throne since it's the same one town.

All 13 clans are entitled to be either Obaro, Obadofin, Obajemu or Obani which is the head of all Orota Council of Oweland if the stool is vacant.

finally with the gazette from the govt after a panel set up to look into the issue of Oweland tradition we now have 14 clan... Omodo clan inclusive with Oba Elesho as the clan head.

A friend of mine want to marry a Kabba lady but the suggestions/views/opinion from people around is that: Kabba women are so so promiscuous, is even part of their culture. And when a Kabba wife is dead the husband's people must take her back to her hometown for burial. Pls how true it is?

Aruta are not slaves but reincarnation of powerful men that are no more. Legend has it that those powerful men are so powerful that even in death they have the ability to possess women they like. These women though women are believed to act, speak and generally behave like the dead powerful men they represent. This possession however takes only a few days during which the family of the deceased are expected to adopt the affected women and cater for all their needs till the spirit leaves. All those ever possessed however come together after to form some sort of meeting (cult); offering sacrifices and holding processions occassionally.

History is always there staring people in the eyes but they would like to twist the course. Tell me why apart From Oba Aka (who became king as a result of conspiracy) is the only non-Ilajo king in Kabba history. Why is not written anywhere in history that a non-Odolu man became Obajemu and why has Obadofin never been rotated? I think you should also say Omodos are entitled to the crown of Obaro since its a free for all. I am not an Ilajo man for your info but I am a student of history

But a Kabba Boy I recently employed said he isn't Yoruba... I saw his surname ADEOYE and told him "so you are Yoruba" without knowing he is from kogi state... The guy assertively stated "I am not Yoruba, Pple confuse my tribe Okun as Yoruba but we are not".. I told him but you are answering Yoruba name and he said yes we have some Yoruba similar names but we are not Yoruba!... I had to stop dat Thr and focus on y he is in my office... But dis really reminds me of the ika, ikwerre and Igbo standoff

Profsomeday... you need to go back to study your history. I may not be wrong to tag you a baby history student. I will come back to school you about the Obaro stool in Kabba history and provide resources and evidence to show that the Obaro stool used to rotate amongst the clans. Please dont spread junk, poisoned history.

Kabba and ikake shared everything in common, language, food, culture & tradition.
The only difference is one is in kogi the other in ondo.
