The goodjoe always harps on the point that players should be chosen by 'BESTNESS'. Other criteria like experience, leadership etc counts but finess in quality trumps them all. There's something about playing for your country, a certain fire and just because a player plays in a lesser known league does not mean that the door should be shut on him if such a player is good and has the heart to rise up to the challenge. In 2002 Enyeama was unknown but he proved to be man enough for our nets. Big names, big clubs might not just be the best criteria.

You got it spot on about Okocha. His talent is not in doubt but he played for himself more than for the team at times. Olishe was furious with him in France 98 for show booting and playing to the gallery. Obviously he was playing for a contract which he later got at PSG.

I've had discussions with some of his old friends, the image they paint of him is that of a self centred guy. Obviously this reflects on his game.

Yes, the guy is a super talent trust me. He plays as a striker for his club and he is not doing badly. He can play on either wings, as a 10 and a DM.
I never knew about his leadership qualities till this tournament. The way he drove Cameroun throughout the tournament really earned my respect.
There's no way he won't make a combined line up of Nig/Cam team. Unless we want to toe the line of sentiments

I don't doubt Moukandjo's super talents at all. And yes, for his club he strikes. He's a top player and even when he featured in that 3-0 loss to our Super Eagles under Oliseh in late 2015, he made his impact felt. He was a menace and troubled Ikeme about twice with long range efforts.

This is a player that have over 10years experience playing for top European club whether as a regular or on d bench coz i don't want to know and he had good eleven trophy as a a Chelsea player with super prestige champions league as one of d trophy and such a player was being described as nothing,it's uncalled-for and absurd.

Mikel Obi career as a Super Eagles player playing as No 10 was due to coaches decisions.He did not force himself on them,he came to camp and always distinguished himself and pls who is at fault but coming here to tell us Mikel should not be playing NO 10 for eagles is some how crazy,to my surprised u are even saying Ndidi should be picked ahead which show something is amiss.

You are right about their over-achievement and whether they will maintain that standard is what we can't tell.

Nobody is saying the Cameroonians will not or cannot improve . They are African champions and we have to respect them for that. And we really have to put everything in place to defeat them . What I am against is dwarfing Nigeria before them. I dnt agree they have more quality than our team.
