I don't care who recommends or not and I never countered their recommendation. I dropped my advice, you either take it or leave it. Like I said earlier, you are getting yourself worked up over an advice. Quit being overly emotional and see from the stance that I never discredited B.Y by MAFIT or whatever you guys call it. It was an open advice.

I can ask you to bring any post showing me "singing praises" of said company but it would be a 'fool's errand'. Except of course, informing people about N50K GRE as against N100K+ is seen as "singing praises".

FYI, 'fool's errand' is an idiom for an activity that has no hope of success. I had to explain that before someone calls me a fool and says they were paying me back in my own coins.

I just got an Acceptance letter from Lamar University, Texas for their Industrial Engineering and Operations Research Program.

Wasn't expecting anything so soon. 1 out of 5 applications, 4 more to go.

Sooooo early, finished applying about 3weeks ago.

I was offered a $1,000 annual scholarship + I'll only pay in-state tuition just like I wanted.

California is no where near down south . It is in the west coast and yes it can be very expensive living there

Left to me, I will prefer to register through such agency if I have such money than paying it through those group of benefactors as part payment for the exam knowing fully well that it is the same (nearly sha based on the conversion rate... The idea of support by those people is a noble one and they make the rules.)

Be careful,don't register with agents. Okay fine, BY Mafit is legit. There's alot of agents/agencies out there waiting to scam prospective test takers. My mentor was scammed 2 months after his GRE, they said the card holder he used to register challenged the payment, so he was asked to pay $235 before they would release his result. Even with a first class and a distinction in his Msc, he wasn't able to secure admission because his result was withheld. I also have someone now in Kansas with a similar experience. Sometimes last year, someone came here to complain about the same problem. That's what Slimmy was trying to say.
Honestly, I don't know why we like fighting on this thread.
If we continue like this, people would be discouraged to come back here.

This was the exact information I was trying to pass. Its as simple as is. People have complained of being scammed months after their exam, the last one was a year after his exam. This is the sole reason I asked people to becareful. The advice got them unnecessarily outraged like they are B.Y MAFIT spokesperson. Everyone is entitled to their opinion and still doesn't change the fact that people have being scammed by this same so called outfit.

They paraded GIEVA on this thread not until people started dropping negative feedback about their results being withheld and no refunds was made. I will still keep saying it whether B.Y by MAFIT or whatever its called, endeavor to conduct personal background checks on them before you register for your exam.
