I just just newly built a concrete pond, I treated it with lime and cow dung. After d treatment, I launched my Tilapia fish.
My Observations: They are not eating well because dey hardly pick food. Within one week, two of them died. What can I do please?

Tilapias perform best in earthen ponds. If the concrete pond is what you have at your disposal so long as u can aerate it u are good to go.

What I did during the construction was that, I used a shower mouth for the water coming into the pond in order to boost the oxygen. And I always open the water in the morning and evening for more oxygen. I s there a better of going about it?

Yes. I only have experience of growing cat fish.
Infact, I was dazed yesterday when I got to the pond and discovered about 11 have died again.
I really need an urgent solution please. One major tin I noticed was dt dey don't eat well, I don't know wot could b responsible for dt.

In that case your problem stems from inadequate knowledge. Agriculture is a science. You need to understand the type of environmental and physiological conditions suitable for the optimal health and growth of tilapia. The easiest way to acquire this knowledge is to undergo practical training at an operational tilapia farm or you could study the literature and then implement via trial and error which is the hard way to learn. May i ask why you switch from catfish farming which you are expirienced in to tilapia?

Do you have any help to render or you just want to blame him? His fishes are dying and you are talking about training. HOW CAN HE STOP THEM FROM DYING? That is the issue now. Agreed, he needs to get adequate training but now that he has jumped into the river save him before asking why he did not first learn how to swim.

fishery isnt my area of specialty. i am just showing him the source of his problem. It's not adviceable to dive into any venture without knowing what it entails. Besides how can a solution be provided when he doesnt understand the practice in the first place?

If you are sure about the water parameters (pH, DO and temperature) that they are ok. I think you should hold the supplier responsible. There is possibilities of contamination during their sex reversal. Please bury the mortality.

And the solution is - return the stock back to the supplier.
