If the basic salary is 60,000 then you should accept the offer. Just learn about sales and have a great personality that can help you in identifying prospects (customers) and retaining them. You can also learn alot on the job while you put your skills to work.

Does a sales executive job with an FMCG (Name withheld) for a basic salary of 60,000 naira worth it? Although i currently do not earn that much right now, but with the kind of peanut offers I get from Companies in Benin, am contemplating giving this role a chance. Pls I need advice from people who have done similar job before. Is 60k okay for a sales executive position were I will be required to cover a state or half of a state. Pls share your thoughts......

Please grab the offer at once, it's a good (a paint manufacturing company i guess)

Let me use someone's case as an example, he was earning 50k last year but recently got an offer of 4M per annum in one of the biggest FMCG with barely 3 years experience. Gain the experience and move on.

Oga go start that work and grow your portfolio... 6momths + your alert go change, that's if you're good and based on performance review.

The trick behind sales is putting up a friendly attitude, good negotiation ability to persuade and also effective customer service. With these you'll grow your client base and portfolio under 3months... With ground experience and performance review you'll become an asset to your organization, 6months review you'll get a raise or you pull out to organization B who'll be willing to grab you with both arms.

Start and tell us what you see.
