This is the story of about two sisters in love with one man without knowing it. But when the elder sister found out, an extreme measures were taken which affected everybody in the family.....KUKERE SISTERS.. by Ngozi Lovelyn O @ Xperiang

Episode 1
My sunshine, you have captured my every being, just pray for me, once this contract I'm pursuing clicks, I will make enough money to come and see your people."
Austin said caressing Onyinye's palms.
Onyi who has been dreaming of the day the man of her dream will propose to her felt her heart beating on top of the world, but her happiness was cut short since he still needs to make some money.

"So, what if the contract fails to click?"

"No my sunshine, don't be so negative, pray for your man"..

"Ooook, I have heard you" she cut in "I will start observing some fast then, if that's what you want" she said.

"Yea, that's my sunshine" Austin said watching her sip her soft drink, assuring himself of how lucky he was capturing the heart of the most decent girl of his time.

"Not in this generation you will find a 25 year old girl who protected her virginity against all odds, Oh man, you are such a lucky and proud man" he soliloquies.

"You said something?" Onyi asked.

"Me? Noo" he answered grabbing his glass of beer.
They maintained silence for few minutes.

"OK Sunshine, its getting late now"

"Yes my Love, we should start going" she replied.

Austin called the bar attendant and paid their bill.
They rose up, walked to the car and drove off. Sunshine is the love name Austin prefers calling Onyinye.

"Sunshine, do you really have to go to your hostel this night?" Austin asked in a warm demanding voice.
"Yes Love, I have quiz tomorrow" she replied.

When he stopped in front of Onyinye's hostel, he felt loneliness in his heart, he wished to wrap her in his arms throughout the night and he said: "Sunshine, you know soon we will be husband and wife, its high time you start going to school from my place.
And as far as I know, your Monday lectures normally start by 12.pm. Come on, Sunshine, you can read in the other room, I promise not to disturb you" he said as he drew her closer to himself, pecking her on the lips.

When Onyinye wanted to utter a declining word, he "shiid" her by kissing her deeply.
Onyi who wanted to resist him saw her feelings failing her, then she gave in, and they got entangled in a deep romantic kiss right in the car.
After the kiss, in a faint warm voice, Austin said: My sunshine, please let's go home, I promise, I won't disturb your reading"

Onyi giggled childishly and said: "OK Love, let me go to my room and get some of the things I will need for the night and tomorrow since I will be going to school from your place"

"Yes, that's my Sunshine, I love you" he said in a cheerful voice.

Onyi replied "I love you too" and alighted from the car, went straight to her room, got some few things, returned to the car and they drove off to Austin's place in Onitsha.

Episode 1

EPISODE 2

Onyinye who couldn't hold back her joy called her elder sister to share her happiness with her.
"Oh my God! Are you serious?" Anna asked in sheer surprise.
"Yes, Sis I am for real".
"But I thought you said he was never ready, acting so indifferent, so how come the sudden change of heart?" Anna asked.

"Anna dear, you don't know men, he took me by surprise oo, though he was not being plain with the proposal, but I know he meant it.
I never knew he will be considering marriage with me, that was why I never committed much into the relationship to avoid getting my heart shattered again" Onyi explained.

"Hmm, OK but hope you have confirmed him, both in and out, especially on bed, and he is caring, not stingy and ......?"
Onyinye burst into laughter, interrupting her sister.
"To tell you the truth, I haven't tasted his performances on bed, all I know is, he is romantic, so I guess he must be an expert in the digging."

Onyinye's last statement threw them off balance and their laughs filled the entire apartment, drawing Austin's attention. So he headed to the visitors room to know what was making her laugh like that.
Onyinye who was unaware that Austin was approaching the room maintained the call, audibly.

"But wait oo, you told me sometime ago you lied to him to him about being a virgin?" curious Anna asked.
Onyi chuckled and said: "yes".
"And?"
"Yes, he bought the lie thinking I was a virgin"..
"Oh my God, how did that happen?"

At that moment, it reflected on Onyinye's feelings that Austin might overhear their discussion, so she decided to end the call.

"Let's talk tomorrow Sis, I have to disconnect the call now, I think he is approaching the room"
"Who is approaching the room?"
"Austin" she whispered.
"That means you are at his place, you lover girl" Anna said teasingly.
She laughed softly and ended the call.

On her turning over to the bed to drop her phone, boom!! Austin was standing right in front of the door.
Shocked Onyinye felt like disappearing into thin air. She started regretting why she left guard of her consciousness.
She said to herself: "There is no need, he heard everything, especially how I have deceived him all this times that I am still a virgin, if only he could give me a chance to explain my reasons, I never did it intentionally".....

Episode 3

"Sunshine, who is making you laugh like that, and why the sudden mood change, did anything happen?" Austin asked warmly.
"I was on phone with my sister" she replied.

Austin hummed as he gaited towards her, held her on the waist and drew her closer to his arms.
Stunned Onyinye became confused.

"Does it mean he did not hear me after all or is he just pretending?" She asked herself.
"So Sunshine, tell me what were you discussing with your sister, hope it's not about me?"
"Erm....." She stammered.

Onyi was not herself at that moment because she couldn't read what was in his mind.
So luckily for her, his phone rang, when he was receiving the call, Onyinye observed the calm state he was in and concluded that he did not hear her.

"Oh thank God, I don't know what would have happened this night if he had realized I was not a virgin as I claimed".

After receiving the call, he turned to her and said: " You know you have not answered my question?"

Onyi laughed softly and said: "My Love, it was my sister oo, she sure knows how to make me go crazy, one of this days, you will get to meet her".

"Hmm, she sure knows how to make you go crazy, like this huh?" He said tickling her.

She lost her balance, laughed out loudly and lovingly pleaded with him to stop.
Austin continued with the intimate play, Onyi threw herself on him, trying to regain her balance and they fell together on the bed.
When she felt his joystick getting hard, she knew that in the next minute, Austin won't be himself again, she quickly rose from the bed, but he drew her down and held her tightly.

"My sunshine, you are the most beautiful woman I have ever seen. You are so pure, beautiful, intelligent and smart, wow! I am so blessed" Austin said professing his love for her.
"My love, please stop, you are flattering me" she said childishly.
"There is this secret I want to share with you"
"Secret?" Onyi asked widening her eyes.
"How big is this secret, is it going to tear us apart?" She asked anxiously.

Episode 4
"No Sunshine, its a secret buried deep in my heart, but your presence in my life has rendered it valueless" he explained calmly.
"OK My Love, please tell me this secret of yours, I am eager to hear" she said as their eyes clocked.
He held her face and kissed her. Austin was a good kisser, one thing Onyinye never had control over was the way he kiss.
As he was kissing her, their veins tightened, when he left the lips and started going down the neck, Onyinye tried to stop him. But he never heeded to her words, this time he held her banana cuped boobs, tickling it with his lips.
In a faint voice, she pleaded with him to stop.
Onyinye and Austin had known each other for two years, but never engaged in any sexual relation.
She claimed to him she was a virgin and vowed to protect it till her wedding night. The proud Austin on the other hand vowed to make her his wife.

Onyinye desired to have him so badly that night, but when she had a vista of what the outcome would be, she forcefully got hold of herself, posed a strong resistance, stopping Austin who was already set to gorge her.

"Sunshine, why are you stopping me, don't you trust me?" He asked.
"No My Love, its not a matter of trust, have you forgotten your promise?"
"But you are already my wife now..."
"Not yet ooo" she cut in: "You have not done anything on my head and you are saying I am your wife, akuko gi adiro mma oo (slang: your story is not good)"

She frowned childishly and said: "My Love, I want to read now, you know I have quiz tomorrow".

Austin who was already feeling jilted quietly left the room and slammed the door.

Onyinye felt bad and started regretting why she stored herself in such lie of been a virgin from the beginning of the relationship, but later waved off the feelings and assured herself that the lie was worth it, it was the base of Austin's undying love for her. After going through some topics, she dozed off.

The next morning, she reminisced how bad Austin felt in the previous night, still racing with her thoughts, a calm bang was heard from the door.

"Come in Love, since when did start knocking on the door before entering?" She asked feeling guilty.

He hummed and said: "I am just being careful, and about last night, I am sorry for......"
"Ssh...." she interrupted him, don't be, if anyone should apologise here, it should be me.
"No Sunshine, you are getting it all wrong, I only wanted to tell you how proud I am for having you in my life, upon all I did last night, yet you still maintained your stance, your pride and virginity. My Sunshine, you are one in a million" he said praising her.
"My love please stop naa..., you know I always feel somehow whenever you start praising me like that"

He laughed softly and said: "I am only telling you the real truth, my sunshine."

Around 7:34 pm, they both got ready for the day's activities.
When Onyinye reached her department, her Sister Anna was already waiting for her.

"Here you are, you lover girl"
"Stop it joor" Onyi said playfully.
"So, where is he from, what's his occupation?" Concerned Anna asked.
"Ow, you mean My Austin?" She replied.
"Austin! is his name Austin?" Anna asked looking shocked.
"Yes, his name is Austin and why are you looking like that?
"You know last night, I had a dream where I was in a serious battle with an unknown man whose name was Austin. That dream was very strange because I have never had that kind of dream before, it looked so real?"
Onyinye laughed and said: Anna dear, so you mean you battled with my own Austin in your dream?" She asked and continued laughing.
But when she saw how disturbed her sister was over the dream because she's one of the people who take dreams seriously, she asked: OK describe how the man you saw in the dream looked."
But the description she gave did not resemble Onyinye's own Austin.

"You see, my own Austin is not even fair in complexion, I have told you several times to stop taking dreams seriously" Onyi said.

EPISODE 5

"Please forget the dream and let's discuss about you" Anna said.

"Ehee, now you are talking, so as I was saying....wait! I have forgotten what I was saying before..."

Anna laughed and said: "You see, love is already turning you crazy. I asked you about his occupation, his home town and......"

"OK OK OK, I have remembered now. Austin is from Ihiala, and he is a Civil Engineer" Onyi said looking at her sister whose facial expression changed suddenly and been unable to interpret the look, she concluded that maybe she doesn't understand the meaning of "A Civil Engineer".
"OK let me explain the kind of jobs a civil Engineer does"
"Wait" Anna cut in.
"Are you trying to explain who a Civil Engineer is? You are mad ooo" Anna said jokingly and continued:
"You know my former boyfriend is from Ihiala too?"
"Yes, what about that? Please, please and please dont start with this your lost boyfriend matter again. I have told you countless times to forget about that guy" Onyi yelled in a lower tone.

"Onyi, how can I forget my first love, I have being preserving myself for him, praying and fasting for God to reunite us again and I can't just give up hope like that, not yet" emotional Anna said.

"Anna dear, you have to forget about him, I believe wherever he is right now, he has forgotten about you, and probably he must have married by now and having fun with his family and you are here wasting your time for nobody. OK, if not, how come he never returned for you?" Onyi asked trying to convince Anna to forget about her lost love.
"Look at me Sis" Onyi demanded gently.

When Anna who was facing downward, trying to prevent her sister from noticing the tears flowing down her cheeks raised her head, Onyi was astounded.

"Oh my, Anna what are you doing? OK I'm sorry for hurting you with my words, I was only trying to help and besides, we are in a public place, stop embarrassing us" Onyi said warmly as they quietly went inside a free lecture hall.
"Onyi?" Anna called softly and said: "You know I have tried given a chance to other guys to know if anyone can fill in the space, but none worked out. When you called me yesterday night, telling me about your marriage proposal, it all fell down on me that the hour is approaching"

"Which hour?" Onyi interrupted
"The time you will leave home and start living with your husband and I will be all alone."

"Anna dear, you are the one pinning yourself down with a man who you no longer exist in his heart. Why not give Ebuka a chance, all he need is just your yes, I believe he is the perfect match for you. That guy has........"

"Onyi, please" Anna cut in.
"Please don't soil my mood more with Ebuka's issue, that guy stinks, he doesn't even know how to combine attires, he is such a..."

"But you can change him" Onyi cut in. When I found myself falling head over heels in love with Austin, I noticed he was lacking in some areas, so in order to be perfect for me, I worked on him, he appreciated the idea. I am glad physical issues are the only complaints you have about him, and you know one cannot be perfect in all aspect of his or her life. If you say he stinks, that is not much of a problem, perfumes and deodorants can solve that, then in the side of attires, changing of wardrobe will do the fixing.
Onyi continued: "You know some business men hardly have time for their appearances, but they are ready to appreciate it whenever the woman they love makes a move in helping them fix those areas they are lacking and Ebuka being the nice guy he is will welcome the idea because he is ready to do anything just to win your heart.
Sis, If we get married the same day, won't that be an awesome experience?"

"Anna nodded"
Onyi continued: do you know what?
"What?"
"I will see to it that it turns a reality, so I am giving you 5 months to make up your mind, I believe five months is more than enough and you will start going crazy for him just like I'm doing right now with Austin"

Episode 6

"Five months? You must be kidding me? Please proceed with your wedding and stop worrying yourself about me." Anna said.

"Well we still have enough time because Austin has not yet officially proposed, so I pray things work out between you and Ebuka, and I will invite him over to Awka this weekend. Don't go anywhere this weekend oo" Onyi warned stretching her ear.

"Onyi, why are you doing this to me, I dont even have a thing for that Ebuka, please stop all this, just allow me wait for my lost love, I have this strong feeling that I will see him soon, I don't know why i started feeling that way, but believe me, my feelings has never disappointed me." Anna yelled in a lower tone.

After watching how serious and sincere Anna was concerning her lost love, she decided to let her be and wished for things to turn out good for her.

"OK Anna, I have heard you, its just that I was only trying to help, I just wanted you to be happy, that's all, but it looks like I'm pissing you off with this love matter." Onyi said in a sad tone.

"No Darling, its not like that, I am sorry for yelling at you like, its just that I hate the sound of that name, "Ebuka". Anna paused for some seconds, looking at her adorable sister who is ready to sacrifice anything just for her happiness.

"OK five months, you said, right?"

Onyi replied Yes.

"OK, I will give it a shot but only on one condition? "
"What condition?"
"It must not be Ebuka"
"Your disgust for Ebuka no be here oo..."OK accepted." Onyi said and left for her quiz.

About 12:46pm, she was already done with the quiz and headed to the canteen to refresh herself but discovered her second phone which she uses for browsing was missing. She decided to call Austin to inform him about it.
On reaching her other phone from her handbag, Austin's call came in.

"Hello Love, I was about calling you now and your call came in, that means our hearts beat together",
"Yes my Sunshine. Erm... you forgot your phone at my place"
"Thank goodness, I was actually searching for it here to browse up the assignment my lecturer gave today."
"Do you know what?"
"What?"
"I am on my way to Awka right now, there is this client I need to meet at Unizik Junction"
"Oh that's good, you are with the phone, right?"
He replied yes and asked: Are you guys through with the quiz?"
"Yes, about 30 minutes ago"
"OK. How about I treat you to lunch" he asked.
"Yea! I would love to, but will be in the company of my sister, because she is here with me?
"That will be nice, at least I will get the chance to meet my future sister Inlaw"

Onyinye's heart can't stop singing of Austin's name, he possesses all the qualities she can ever wish for in a man, what more can she asked for again.
Onyi headed to her sister's department which is a stone throw to hers'.

"Get ready for Lunch, Austin is coming right away to drive us"
"Wow, for real? Anna asked in sheer strange joy, but wondered why she suddenly felt that way but shoved the feelings off and stared into her sister's eyes and saw the sparkles that was glaring passionately. She felt so at east her younger sister found the love she truly deserves and she silently yearned to reunite with her own lost love.
