Hello all, Wondering if anyone ever got their passport back from VFS within a week of submission. Just curious here, I submitted my application for France last week Friday and tracked today, it shows it's ready for collection at the abuja VFS i submitted today. I was told it takes up to 2 to 3 weeks after submission, this is just too fast and am not sure what the outcome might be . anyone with something similar? I do have great travel history and I included just a copy of my US visa along with my app. Pls anyone with similar exp. should share. Thanks! |

Bostin: Appealing is a waste of time because it will never be attended to. They grant virtually every refusal an appeal. The best is just for you to reapply as advised and provide all the defence you made in the appeal with the application. My first france application was refused but when I reapplied some months later pointing out my defence with facts and documents, I was granted 10days then subsequet applications i got 1 month, 3months. 1 Like |

ladylco:All these just to travel to another country?! Of course, flight booking, hotel reservations, and valid passport requirements are understandable. But I don't get why the others are required for a visitor's visa. |

Good evening Has anyone seeking a family reunion visa ever got a call from France Embassy and been told to meet with a Lawyer outside the embassy before? My neice got a call from France embassy one week after she applied for a Family reunion Visa, she was given a Lawyer phone number to call.. When she called the Lawyer she was told to bring certain amount of money for document verifications... Has anyone had such experience before? or what can be done in respect to this? cc : justwise and fellow member of the house... Please kindly shed some light |

Pls house I need ur advise, am currently working with company and they are sponsoring me for a conference in France by April...my question is: (1) do I need to Present my personal account and payslip in addition to the company's bank statement? (2)what other supporting documents do I need to present as the company are sole sponsorship of my traveling. (3)can I still visit other schenge country after my 3days conference in France as I still have 12days of my leave |
Re: Securing Visa To France, Applying From Nigeria... by Mandovic(m): 5:34pm On Feb 09, 2017 |
fabolousneyo: 1. You will need to present a letter from the company detailing your sponsorship and how much they intend to sponsor you with(also proof of those funds from your company so your company's bank account should work here). You may also need to present your payslips at least last three months to show proof of employment as well. 2. proof of employment, your company's tax files and any documents that show they do business legally. 3. yes once you are in the Schengen area who can travel to at least 23 or 26 countries, its without border control. |
Re: Securing Visa To France, Applying From Nigeria... by Mandovic(m): 5:37pm On Feb 09, 2017 |
aofrank: This is not possible as you are required to apply for a visa in your home country or in a country where you a legal resident (not on tourist visa/schengen visa) |

has any1 heard of france talent visa |
Re: Securing Visa To France, Applying From Nigeria... by Mandovic(m): 7:36pm On Feb 09, 2017 |
Fm007: France talent visa is basically for tech people who wish to have a start-up in France (I presume it will need a business idea and business plan to get it). You will be given a grant and an office space. Except you are exceptionally good in tech and can run a successful startup, it may be a rocky route. |

Re: Securing Visa To France, Applying From Nigeria... by Mandovic(m): 4:56pm On Feb 10, 2017 |
Fm007: You can only get a work visa when you have had a job offer from a company and they will have to request for a work permit for you. So yes basically if you get a job. |

blunts007:It's been long since I had mine so I may forget some things; Introduce yourself Educational background Work experience What school you're going to How you found the school What course you're studying Why you chose the course- this is the point where you talk about your career plans and how it relates to your past experience or education or interest etc. Sha be convincing. What you plan to do after your studies Why France How you plan to pay your fees Do you speak French. Basically all the things you wrote in your letter of motivation... The interview is recorded and sent to the consulate. The guy is really friendly so just chill...it's not a big deal. All the best 1 Like |

If you're female and coming to school in Paris, I may be able to share my little studio with you..short term until you find your place. It's not free oh. Also if you are searching for a place to rent, Paris 75 or close suburbs 92,93.94 might be able to help you search and contact landlords, free. 2 Likes |

I have applied for masters 1 in france and optimistic of receiving it. I wish to ask the right way to go about the statement of accounts to present....going to study in French...need to know how to go bout the statement of account |
Re: Securing Visa To France, Applying From Nigeria... by Nobody: 6:17pm On Mar 26, 2017 |
fav2deep: How do you mean right way to go about the statement of account? I'd say you go to your bank/sponsor's bank and request for 3 months statement. Plus it has to be recent, not longer than 14 days, printed mine a day before my campus France interview just to be on the safe side. PS: I don't have access to the email I registered with... |
Re: Securing Visa To France, Applying From Nigeria... by Nobody: 6:22pm On Mar 26, 2017 |
Is your course in French? Do you speak French which means your tuition will be almost free? In that case you don't need to show a lot of money... My sponsor's statement had just enough to pay half of my tuition( I had already paid half) and like 2k euro extra and I still got the visa. But there was good and consistent inflow and outflow. Just saying this so you don't try to doctor your bank statement or deposit large sums in your account before your application. All the best... |

whitetiger511: OK I can use sponsors not necessarily with my surname...as I heard that with other sponsors not directly linked to family your visa will be denied |
