Griffon:I was not arguing with anyone, I just did not like the use of the term 'nonentity' especially coming from someone who is not an entity. I don't know if you've noticed, but this thread was created for the lovers of Super Eagles, not the haters of Mikel and misogynists. We are not here to spit at the efforts of our players simply because they either did not reach the heights expected of them, or their names are not the names we'd rather see associated with good. Anybody that wants to insult Mikel or any SE player can knock himself out on a Chelsea thread, or better still, create an "I Hate Mikel" thread somewhere else. Goldfish and other Respected members of this thread dropped their opinions without using certain terms, you can make your point without insulting someone's person. Especially a man whose name has reached places their names will never lick. This thread was far better when we were just about 12 people, now everyone who misses his way to land here starts with a "I hate Mikel" tirade, followed closely by "Safarigirl is a rude b!tvh" then "Oh, thesupernerd is stupid" and finally "thegoodjoe is talking trash, that makes him a nobody"......you can stick to "I hate Mikel", but because you have a greater agenda and a long list of people you've been waiting to trash talk so that your dick can grow 3-inches longer from the likes you're sure to get, you have to attack these 3 personalities. How is it a football argument when those who claim they are arguing resort to character assassination even when it's uncalled for? Then some ghost readers will just unearth themselves to attack me or thegoodjoe or thesupernerd, not even to drop anything related to football, but to attack eg that one insulting people, TheNonce abi na the dunce, was never part of any argument Oga, we are used to this cycle, so let everyone in the mood to take out their frustrations come at the usual three people to their heart's content. All I ask for is some originality cuz I'm honestly bored with reading some of these common insults I get to be the recipient of at least once every two months 4 Likes |

TheGoodJoe: I have to disagree with you here, this is football we are allowed to have a view on a Player, It would Surprise you that Calling Mikel a World Class Player would be taken as an Insult to actual world Class player and people who actually follow the game. Him saying Mikel is a Non-entity in footballing scheme is not actually as bad as you make it Look. He Might be a Nigerian great but he hasn't achieved anything of note to be discussed in the larger scheme of football. 1 Like |

princesuko:but does the fact that one is a Nigerian great not make him an entity in football? If FIFA were to make a list of Top 5 greatest achievers in football in each country and Mikel's name enters such a list, does that not make him am entity? It's okay for someone to say "Mikel is not world class" or "Mikel is unimportant in world football" (which could even spark an argument", but saying Mikel is a nonentity in football is flawed. He is an entity in Nigeria and Africa, we are part of the world, so by extension, if you mention world football, Mikel will make up the list of entities Name a player who currently plays for a Nigerian team. What's the first name likely to pop into the head of most people of the world? 4 Likes |

princesuko: I didn't even call him a non-entity in football, I called him a non-entity in his last 6 years at Chelsea, which is an important distinction as it sets the context. Oddly enough Joe seemingly has no problem with jungle girl cussing out not just me, but the whole freaking country when she called Nigeria "a cursed country filled with ingrates" in her bid to defend Mikel. You can't have a rational discussion with a person who is determined to be offended. That's just life my G. 3 Likes |

safarigirl: I was being pretty specific in that I was only discussing Mikel's club career, and in the last 6 years, Mikel had pretty much been an irrelevant player at Chelsea bar one or two moments. This is a fact that be verified with appearance stats or fan testimony. All you're doing is trying to make excuses for why you had to feel offended. |

He is a Nigeria Great no doubt about that, but Sir Goodjoe and Sir Supernerd are trying to Make it seem laughable that Anyone wouldn't think Mikel is a World Class ,Where reversed should be the Case. IMO and I think this is the Concesus , that Mikel is a top player and Not a World Class, if ya think otherwise that's fine. |

Exclusive – Villarreal Offers Nigerian Golden Boy Samuel Chukwueze Three Year Deal Spanish La-Liga side Villarreal has offered highly rated Nigerian teen star Samuel Chukwueze a three year deal, Owngoalnigeria.com understands. Talks are way underway with the teen forward who was once upon a time close to joining Arsenal and later FC Porto, but the deals fell through due to issues around the modalities of his transfer. Chukwueze we gathered has been followed by the team since after his exploits at the U-17 World Youth Championship, where Nigeria emerged as champions. He was the third highest goal scorer at the tournament, and generally the left footed 17 year old is regarded as one of the brightest teen in Nigeria football at the moment. Nicknamed “Nigeria Robben”, he will join Villarreal on a pre contract which will metamorphose into a professional deal when he clocks 18 in 2018. CSKA Moscow Hoping To Use Transfer Loophole To Sign Celtic Target Onyekuru -Report Russian champions CSKA Moscow are ahead of their Scottish counterparts Celtic in the race for the signature of Nigerian talent Henry Onyekuru, according to reports. Authoritative Belgian newspaper Het Laatste Nieuws claims that the Army Men have an advantage over their competitors, with the Russian transfer window still open for business until February 24. Onyekuru has been a revelation in the Belgian First Division A in the ongoing season, with 10 goals from 23 matches. The Aspire Academy product has not found the net for relegation-threatened Eupen since he attempted to engineer a move to Celtic in the January transfer window. The attacker has a contract with Eupen until the summer of 2020. Source: http://allnigeriasoccer.com/read_news.php?nid=22028 |
