No wonder.. you guys have been massaging their egos.. I didn't see anything worth respecting from first impression.. let me just add.. i've never been the kind of person who tries to fit in.. i will be me even if i'm considered an outsider. However, I'm sure you are speaking for just a group of people here. I think some of us hold on to something as petty as a community.. why are you giving me that, "if u don't act like us, leave here" vibe? funny really BascoVanVeli: |

I beg everyone to please sheat your swords. I would have listed all monikers involved one by one to beg them on a personal level but I've lost track of everyone involved. Enough of the insults and clap backs, we've added enough colour to the thread already. I don't know if this altercation started on this thread or it was a spill over from another thread but I plead with you all in all humility to stand down. This thread until now was gradually building up a reputation as a good platform for fans of the Super Eagles across the world to share information and analysis of Nigerian players. We must strive to keep it that way. Not so long ago, a student writing his thesis called on this thread for information and members here obliged and helped him out. Probably the said student will cite this thread in his reference on his project. It will be a shame we infest this thread with diatribes and direct insults. I beg you all in the name of whatever you worship. Please stand down. 2 Likes |

TheSuperNerd: I graduated from university almost 10 years ago mate. These kind of yarns don't impress me. Now if you said you were making mad money, I might be impressed. I'm currently sat in the players lounge at an Aviva Premiership rugby club, literally next to players worth millions who appear on TV every weekend. A loud mouth trashtalker on the interwebs does not move me one bit. 6 Likes |

Nihilist:Jamaica and other Carribean countries are not footballing nations, so, going to play there will not be a better choice to England. I mean where the country is a footballing nation eg of you're eligible to play for countries like Nigeria, Egypt, Cameroon, Ghana, Ivory Coast, Senegal etc. A country like Kenya, for instance, that isn't a footballing nation, may not miss a player who opts for England, but why opt for England when you can get accolades elsewhere? |

edi287: His pace and power. I was fortunate to see Nacho play live at the Etihad last season where he scored a brace. The boy is a natural athlete. Imagine Kanu with such pace and such power. |

safarigirl:I think most of the players look at the business side of things when making career decisions such as country allegiance. Bournemouth paid £15M club record fee for Jordan Ibe. If he was a Nigerian youth international, they wouldn't have paid more than £3M for him. I think guys like Iwobi have shown these guys that you can be a marketing success even if you play for Nigeria. Alex Iwobi has inspired a lot of foreign born African players. |

I knew that many will come into this thread as things progress-this is just the beginning. The SuperEagles is becoming a force to reckon wit once again in World Football-and many will come just to make their voice heard, but only few of them really cares about our darling NTs and the rest-the don't want to be left behind so de will show up to pull everything down-they don't believe in themselves so don't expect them to believe the truth... But seriously this is getting out of hand. Hey, can 'WE' for once behave matured... I'm really disappointed with the way 'YOU' folks are handling this-you're more matured than what I'm seeing. ******* So much depends on reputation-guard it with your life! Know who you are dealing with-do not offend the wrong person. -Robert Greene ***** there is much to life outside d E-world. Though it might sound silly, The funniest part of it is that most ppl don't know that their actions n words in d E-world could soil them n comeback to haunt them in the real world(don't ask me how? Only d wise understands) . Not all e-mentions are meant to be replied some may hurt/bruise our egos-Cos not all u meet online are 'SANE'. Some are frustrated, passing tru hard times and even undergoing some mental dejection-so the best to do is to pretend as if you never saw t. Note: Opinions differs n it's subjected to individual's point of view. 5 Likes |

safarigirl:You may be right but I guess that we can only consider the evidence in front of us - right now skin colour is not really an obstacle to playing for England so any black boy of dual origin knows that he can play for a higher ranked football nations like England instead of Nigeria if they are good enough. |

TheSuperNerd: Hahaha nwanne m nwoke, I just dey observe. That said, we all really need to caution ourselves. Some people just like being uncouth. Mature ones here premeditate before dropping comments. Some ignore jibes while some take delight in throwing them. D gal was wrong to have labeled herself the thrash talker.., that's not to say the invaders were right to have torn her to shreds. Their actions I would call preposterous for adults I hold you "TheGoodJoe" at a very high esteem but I will advis that whenever u wanna wield d axe, spare no one no matter who's ox is gored. TheSuperNerd: So sad that you have to work on a weekend. I sympathise with you. I on the other hand don't have to work weekends so I can afford to attend live sports games on a regular basis. Good luck with your studies bro. I know it can be difficult supporting yourself with a long hour, low paying agency job while still having maintain good grades at school. May the good Lord crown your efforts with success. See you at the top bro. 4 Likes |

Nihilist:the point komekn and most of us are trying to make is that, once you're not white, you'll never really be considered a permanent option for England, especially if you're African Apart from Dele Alli (who is mixed), I doubt England has another player of African origin in their squad.....and please, don't mention Barkley, if dem no tell you say that one papa na negro, you no go know |

Good thing you stepped in..... Coz if those bunch of keyboard warriors think they can just walk in here and talk nonsense, then they are wrong... We may be cool here but someone has to speak up at least.... As usual... I don't expect him to listen to you... forgotten he also insulted you?? now he wanna play victim.... typical of most low lives no matter how long they have lived.... They live mundane lives and are satisfied in that while youths like us strive for excellence in every way.... To Nihilist... this is why I work weekends... I have a gigantic future to build unlike you who have reached your mundane apex.... and I have so much engagements that combines work and studies and certain projects..... This is "my building time" and I am not wasting it... But you.... ten years after university education.. this is all you can give the world and the environment around you. Pity. Not too late though... Col. sanders founded KFC at a much later age.... Sir Tbaba.... I am done now... tbaba1234: |
