I sent a mail to a university college to enquire about there application requirements etc and this was there response.

Dear Student
Thank you for your interest in our school.
Unfortunately we have the experience that students from non-European countries who apply for our international semesters, do not receive a visa (not even with a Letter of Acceptance from our side), unless if they already live in Belgium.
We advise you to search for a full course degree in English (Masters or Bachelors degree), where acceptance will give you real chances of getting a student visa.
You can find more information about Higher Education Accredited Degree programs in Flanders in ENGLISH at www.studyinflanders.be . You find also information there about visa requirements etc.
Good luck!

I don't know what this implies and what will be my response, I need help.

Actually my first visa application was on the 14th of July 2016 which i got a negative decision on the 11th of August 2016 due to insufficient funds. I then reapply on the 25th of August 2016 and my file got to the immigration office on the 5th of September 2016. On the 12th of September 2016 i got a positive decision. Belgium here i come. . Thanks for the prompt response and the willingness to help. My friend got a visa refusal based on insufficient funds according to what he told me. I see that namebdis4 had similar challenge that s/he overcame, that's why I want a private chat with him/ her so s(he) can help my friend on how his appeal can be positive. I am new like I said before and don't want to run foul of the rules of this noble platform. Thanks in anticipation

Okay bro...i hope what I will say will help...
First of all appeal takes time(study)...
My advise is to re-apply which was wat I did when I got refusal in Nov and also what NAME did. Correct the mistake and you are bound to get your visa...
If u decide its appeal it will definitely take more than 2months or so and it is a 50/50 chance of a positive response or decision

My brother what document did your friend used as means to proof solvency. Is it block account or annex 32. I need to know this information before I can guide you. I will be waiting to read from you.

Stay Blessed

@fikki and Namebdis4,
Thanks for ur prompt response and willingness to help, may God continue to bless u. An annex 32 was used, and when d french was translated, it read 'insufficient fund in summary'. I see that the time of ur reapplying was short btw 25 Aug to 12sept #namebdis4, pls can u put us thru this line. 1.Will it also involve vfs, 160 euros, medical, police, legalisation, etc again like the refused one. 2. What is the least time to start this, d last decision/ refusal is less than a week. 3. And any other info u need to pass to us. The insuffient fund was actually as a result of our own error quoting 2 dependant instead one on the foreign pay slip. Thanks

You can't use a business man. You most only use only someone on salary. You can also use the block account as proof of solvency.

First I will advice you to go for block account. Secondly you will pay again the visa application fee and the administration fee. Also, if you medical certificate and police clearance is less than 6months, you do not need a new one. K hope this helps.

Block account!!! #deep sigh, u know 5M / 8000 euros isn't easy to raise more so that it won't be released in bulk or do u have an easy way about it? Then the time of ur reapply that u quote was less than 1month how did u fast track it pls educate me, cos d last experience even vfs to interview call was more than a month.
@fikki, do u have any other options apart from Oga NAME, pls Oga Name don't be annoyed o, I just want to go for the easiest maybe best option, that Abuja road dey fear me. Thanks
Re: Anyone Studying In Belgium? by Nobody: 6:23pm On Feb 17, 2017
There is no fast track. Block account did the job. Anyways you can give a trial again with your Annex 32.

All you need to do is... All the document you submitted n was refused...u resubmit it... With a new administrative charge...n u wont hv to do any interview... But your medical n police report must not be more dan six months...
U pay new visa fee... And ur blocked account confirmation
Re: Anyone Studying In Belgium? by Walatadadon: 1:08am On Feb 18, 2017
Do u mean once d letter stating the reason for d initial refusal is added to my new submission, they already know am reapplying so no more interview?

Pls clarify because like said earlier, my friend who got his visa at the first trial with a blocked acc while I used annex 32 did interview

You don't need to add the refusal letter..cos I didn't add dat... They know you were refused..they won't call you for interview...

good morning,
happh new year to all... for those who intends studying in belgium, its a long process, so u need to start ontime, above all most school application is still on,

Preparatory programs are msinly for those going for bsc in dutch n not english language programs, also if u r going for masters but you didnt meet their requirement, you MIGHT be asked to go for preparatory class/course before you can enrol for your course.

About 10 of us applied for Belgium visa for 2016/2017 academic session last year... and i can say cleatly that we all got our visa..we recorded 100% visa approval for all of us who worked together on NL even though some gotrefused cos of funds but re applied and still got it..

Never the less, Belgium visa is easy as long as you get your sponsor ...YOU WILL DEFINITELY GET YOUR VISA u have to pass intervies though...

On behalf of the rest, we will be willing to assist anyway we can, God that helped us hasnt changed His form... He willsurely help u too..

lets know whats the iss, challenge n we will tackle it here on NL.. you can do it and you will get it.

cc: skinny,tunde,bonga,biene,bayo.,frank, francis n others...

happy new year
